I WENT TO A CIVIL WAR REINACTMENT DURING THE LAST WEEKEND. iF YOU EVER FANCY THIS SORT OF THING, GIVE IT A GO ONCE. THEY ARE FRIENDLY SO EVEN ALONE YOU ARE AMONG FRIENDS. I PROMISE. GREAT FUN.
It has happened by accident. And the audience should realize that living history groups are not amateurs playing games but well trained people who need to have the understanding of the troops in the period as well as the requirements for safety and to also look convincing to the audience they're playing to.
We must commend all living history groups who are often mocked by student filmmakers and other tough guys without realizing the amount of training they have to go through to put on a good show. It is Britain at it's best.
This is a really awesome video.
Two of my ancestors were captured during the Battle of Dunbar and were sent to America.

@Vendettare1 thats what i was thinking, some of the clansmen were still using longbows as they had a faster rate of fire but a shorter range.

@buidseach It's very interesting. It would of hardly been completely redundant at these field battles using achers.
