  • The atmosphere of amiga demos is wonderful as always. That beautiful starfield and the cozy kewl font usage with top notch chip music.

  • Sound is fucked up in this video. My unofficial (or official) Scoopex YouTube-channel has a version with sound working properly.

  • lol they kinda reproduce the sega afterburner 3d sprite engine

  • I must have heard this soundtrack a thousand times back in 1989!

  • Part of my all time favorites :) Well done Scoopex! Those bob figures were boring as hell, come to think of it, but I watched this demo start to finish so many times! Lol!

  • Oh wow, re-discovering the old demos. RSI's Cebit 90 and this one were awesome. Used to listen to the music instead of pop music - old skool ! Those were the days ...

  • 1989

  • I must agree with everyone who´s saying that this is an outstanding tune. In my opinion, one of the very best tracker songs i know, while it goes far beyont that. Always wished there would be more music like this. Never heard anything that comes close.

  • Uncle tom was a fantastic musician.you can hear his influences in some dance music today.especially the string chords samples he always used in his modules if you know what i mean.and look what happened to jesper kyd? He went on to make music for hollywood films.mental!!!!

  • This was and still is a very exceptional piece of music. :)

  • Sc00peX ruled ! :D

  • Loved this demo, a true classic. :)

  • This music is standing out as not sounding as anything else, well produced and before protracker was the game. Very catchy.. oh those memories :)

  • 1989 !

  • i love that love synth sample whatever.

  • Dude! With skills like these, you could basically remake Starfox for the Amiga! Or maybe SkyRoads... :)

  • Fantastic!!!!

    Brings back so many memories.

  • Amiga is the best. Just 7.xxMHz CPU, the amazing custom chips and 512KB/1MB of RAM makes that possible.

  • That is not true! lol.... without the graphics chips like the blitter/copper this demo wasn't possible to do. The blitter did all the linedrawing/pollygons, and most the the moving objects on the screen. And don't forget the copper who took care of all rasterbalks, mirror effects etc on the screen.

  • Well he did say "custom chips" so that means the chips to contain the blitter, copper, etc :)

  • @boing4000 Amiga is really great, but what about people? They are outstanding! Andromeda, Khefrens, Batman Group, Scoopex, Laxity, RWO and others....... By the way - did You heard about Natami project? Sorry for my broken English :(

  • I.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e.

    Amazing programming skills there.

Too much of the wavy text lines (though they have their charm), but the filled vectors were awesome!

    I miss these days. :(

  • Uncle Tom rocks the world.

  • Scoopex demos rocked! I miss my Amiga so much, but still have all the original disks somewhere. Ebay here I come.....!

  • i remember having a noisetracker mod of this music on the atari st. its good

  • Its sounds like the Amiga Led is on, did someone forget to turn it off? :)

  • On very early 500, it was not possible. I had one of these myself (bought 1987) with Kick1.2

  • love the music

  • great demo, great music

  • This one of the better demos that was relased 1989. Great music, Great code.

  • A classic indeed. Probably one of the first demos I watched when I got my Amiga around that time.
