Your grand parents mower is one of the easiest mowers to work on just tinker with it. If I had it I could have it running in less than fibe minutes and thats taking the gas tank off and everything and cleaning the tank.
If your grand parents mower still isn't running take the carb off the gas tank and replace the diaphram in between the carb and gas tank. Its like a gasket so make sure you get all the old gasket off. If not running check for spark if none get some sand paper and take your crank shroud off and sand around the flywheel and check your gap between your ignition coil which is easy. Put a business card between your flywheel and coil and loosen the coils two bolts and push against flywheel tighten it

No, it's a magnetic car work light that I got at Advance Auto. It plugs into a cigarette lighter I added to the mower. It just sticks(magnetically) to the front part. It's got a VERY strong magnet, it hasn't ever moved while I've been mowing yet.

Which one? The Montgomery Wards? It has a broken belt and doesn't throw snow all that well due to the impeller blades being bent back a little. It's an easy fix though, just bend them back with a hammer, or some vice grips.
