  • There was an adapter that could play regular lateral groove records. You simply removed the one piece Edison Vertical Groove Tone arm and reproducer, and then inserted the lateral groove tone arm and lateral groove reproducer and you were in business. By the way you can see Victrolaman demonstrating the playing of Lateral Groove Record on an Edison Disc Phonograph complete with the Adapter by going to John McCormack Funiculi Funicula on this Victrolaman youtube site.
