  • My favorite is the one at 2:45.

  • FOR YOU THE AUDITION IS OVER!

  • This video, YOU WILL PLAY IT!

  • Doesn't get any better.

  • I love his boots ;)

  • to cinch it davd bowie later quipped that hitler was the first rock star. mussolini was but a buffoon.

  • to anyone who knows mel rooks is drawing an obvious connection between manson and htler before manson made it obvious in his prison inteviews but mel knew what was up right away.

  • One of my favorite comic movie scenes. Hilarious.

  • the actor playing the gay man with the pointed beard is very very funny! a perfect part I say!

  • @pippipepper

The late Dick Shawn was absolutely hilarious in every role he ever did, just a brilliant comedic actor (and in reality a damn good singer too). If you haven't yet seen him in the film "Evil Roy Slade" do check it out. He is very funny in it and the whole film is pretty good.

  • It reminds me of the 2012 Republican primaries.

  • I wish William Shatner dressed as Captain James T.Kirk had performed this song in one episode. I could see Leonard Nimoy prancing about the ship being high on LSD Love Power.

  • THATS OUR HITLER!

  • Thank You

  • lol doors spoof

  • 'WILL THE DANCING HITLERS PLEASE WAIT IN THE WINGS! WE ARE ONLY SEEING SINGING HITLERS!!!" (AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!)

  • I love the hippie XD

  • thank you, next please!!!!!!

  • 5 people were dancing Hitlers

  • Interesting, LSD had the "Addicted to Love" concept before Robert Palmer.

  • OMFG!!!!! this is SO much better, than the 2005 musical version!!!!

the soupcan-nacklace, the earring and the BOOOTS! don't forget the boots? and what does he do best? - ey man, that's what they put me away for *ahhhhhh* oh yes and not to forget the banana :-)

  • The chick with the guitar is fucking hot

  • " THAT'S OUR HITLER!!!!!!" XDDDDDD

  • first we have the cowardly lion hitler, the way too german hitler, the sweaty creepy hitler and the illegal farm worker hitler.

  • DATS AH HITLER!

  • the little wooden boy.....

  • I would totally buy LSD's album.

  • I love Mr. Belvedere's reaction!

  • Is is just me or the cowboy Hitler kind of looks like Clark Gable?!

  • Dick Shawn actually died on stage ( heart attack) in 1987. The audience started laughing, they thought it was part of the act. If you like the guy please watch him in "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" he's hysterically outrages in that film.

  • 0:39 Is that Stellan Skarsgard!?!?!?!?!??!

  • Isnt that first one from the Mikado?

  • @silentblacklist Yes it is. "A Wandering Minstral I" is the one of the first songs from The Mikado (it's sung by Nanki-Poo). I love that show, we performed it my freshman year of college (about 14 years ago) and I never forgot it. I still remember most of the words to all the songs, LOL!

  • I don't know why Otto Von Bismark wants to play Hitler.

  • @themysteriouscrumpet It's Kaiser Wilhelm, actually... :-D

  • Dick Shawn did a good job, but I always thought his character did not fit the movie. The play improved that getting rid of this character. It's too farfetched, there is no way he would do the actual Springtime for Hitler play THAT well, unless ALL acotrs were improvising on spot, which also doesn't seem believeable. Plus, it dates the movie TOO much.

  • @ricarleite Thing is, this movie was made during the "beatnik" fad, so LSD is meant to poke fun at it. Also, the concept is that Max and Leo shot themselves in the foot by hiring him; he did such a bad job that the audience thought it was meant to be a satire of Hitler rather than praise. They should've hired a "good" actor to play Hitler, that way the audience would have thought it was meant to be serious, and hated it even more.

  • Thats our hitler!

  • The 60's were a hell of a time, weren't they?

  • The "auditioners" look like they've seen the apocalypse.

  • Nobody could've done this any better than Dick Shawn. He absolutely killed it.

  • @franknuss

    I totally agree!

  • Robin Williams as LSD!!! Now that would have been perfect casting!

  • Those boots are killer!

  • I actually think this is a good song xD

  • Will the dancing Hitlers please wait in the wing? We are only seeing singing Hitlers!

  • I luv Jason Green LOL!

  • i need to get me one of those soup-can necklaces...

WHERE DID THAT BANANA COME FROM?!

  • i need to get me one of those soup-can necklaces...

  • THAT'S OUR HITLER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @AngryDeli FUCKING LOOL... it even makes me laugh to read it!!

  • look @ doe's boots! ugh! >:(P

  • THAT'S OUR HITLER

  • the flower song is actually pretty good. So funny that what they considered scary horrible back then is awesome compared to what he have today lol!

  • @Aprilshowersss U notice that he's wearing the same tall boots that Julie Roberts wore in Pretty Woman??

  • You will play it!

  • have you heard the German band

    No

Its the name of the song

    YOU WILL PLAY IT!

    just the funniest thing

  • The keyboard player looks like Connie Booth and the guitarist looks like a very young Judith Light.

  • I love Dick Shawn's boots. RIP LSD.

  • We All Wanted To Hear The LITTLE WOODEN BOY ! Yea !

  • It would have been really funny if Don Knotts was up there singing... his expression after rejection would have been priceless

  • i want a mini cambell soup can necklace!!

  • Awsome.... cool..... so retro....60's,,,,,, And that GIRL in red dress on guitar.... WOW ! Greatest Legs ! Perfection. Kinda like a benign Manson Troup !

  • 02:56 - LMAO!!

  • LSD Thats Our Hitler!!

  • the little wooden boy isnt even a real song...

  • WHERE DO I GET THOSE BOOTS?

  • @HitoshiK9 His or hers?

  • @FacelessFallenAngel

    LSD's XD

  • @HitoshiK9 Urban Planet was selling something very similar before Christmas, I bought some for my cousin.

  • @HitoshiK9 in 17th century?

  • The best scene in cinema.

  • I am almost certain, that this Lorenzo Saint Dubois is doing The Doors parody.

  • 1:03!! Is that Salinas!!??

Holy shi*t, remarkable look alike xD

  • Mr. Belvedere!

  • is that robin williams?

  • The best Hitler ever. I love LSD! XXXXXXXXXXX

  • Thats our Hitler !!!

  • SOUP CAN NECKLACE LOOOOOL!!!

  • @KonohaElite14 im guessing an andy warhol pop art reference

  • i wish they had LSD in the new one ;o;

  • LSD's boots are amazing... almost as amazing as the love power :)

  • It sucks that they wrote the hippie out of the new version

  • "Is this where they're auditioning Boomerang baby?".

  • "Love Power" for Christmas no. 1...

  • this is crazy funny!

  • "And what have you done, LSD?"

"Well about 6 months, but I'm on probation..."

  • 3 people were dancing hitlers

  • Just Wonderful !

  • what happened to Franz singing Haben???

    This version is crap tbh

  • @NHall609 This version has Gene Wilder, your opinion in invalid

  • 3:47 Does anyone think that Kenneth Mars look like Moe from the Three Stooges ?

  • Lorenzo, Lorenzo baby, Lorenzo Saint Dubois, bu my friends call me LSD. Genius

  • THAT'S OUR HITLER!

  • Jason Green - an arrogant Prussian superman with a Jewish name ! Mit a bang und a boom !

  • LSD remains me more of Steve Martin than anybody.

  • -And what have you done, LSD?

-About six months, but I'm on probation, and I'm cool man, and I'm straight now....

  • HEY WORLD YOU STINK ! :P

  • better than the new one but i love them both. the directors in the new one were just hilarious so was franz

  • "Will the dancing Hitlers please wait in the wings..." lol This one is SO much better than the new one! Way more absurdist, which is what Brooks does best, and less punchliney and saccharin. He should have left the new one as a stage musical, it worked better that way.

  • my friends call me L.S.D.

honestly, how dose mel brooks come up with this?

  • Classic!

  • I love how one of the Hitlers is just a guy in swimming trunks posing.

  • This has always been the classic version of The Producers and in my opinion far superior to the new one.

  • Jason Green appears to have been Otto Von Bismark in disguise, having wandered in through a wormhole in time and space.

  • "THANK YOU!!!!!" Funniest line ever!

  • The Kaiser guy is the funniest guy, but the little wooden boy guy is extremely hilarious as well!

  • When I first saw Dick Shawn walk up there I thought it was Robin Williams in a wig.

  • @JimmySteller Robin Williams is a hack! Dick Shawn was truly funny!

  • This is THE ONLY Producers!!!

  • Zero Mostel's reactions are priceless. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • LOVE POWA!!!!

  • You don't think about the little flowers! No! all you think about is guns!

  • viizzz a ... bing

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that

  • @burleymullins lol mee too! I always thought so i'm glad to hear someone shares my view.

  • LSD reminds me of Robin Williams....

  • I love LSD's song...

  • This movie is awesome. Better than the new one.

  • My favorite 8 minutes in movie history (after, of course, the end of "Casablanca."

  • This IS the first and best version....."with the bang , with the boom....NEXT...with....the .....biiiing".

  • RIP Andreas Voutsinas (aka Carmen)

and it's not Bill Murray it's Dick Shawn

  • I... I need those boots.

  • @MorroccoSurrogate I want the pickle haube.

  • @darthneji1992 yuppp

  • The classic comedy. One of the best ever made.

  • the new one is funnier

  • Are you kidding? The new one was funny, but this one is a laugh riot, possibly the funniest movie ever made.

  • "Man, it's later than you think..."

  • Always makes me laugh.

  • LSD is an amazing character X]

  • dick shawn as hitler was a brilliant actor-comedian---check out his work in its a mad, mad, mad, mad world

  • I FEEL DA POWA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All the dancing Hitlers wait in the wings...we're only seeing singing Hitlers!

    THAT'S OUR HITLER!

  • this is genius comedy pmsl

  • This proves what is an already established fact:

The sixties were the best decade of them all.

Nothing beats the "flower power." lol

  • The guy with the Warhol necklace is funnier than hell, which is impossible.

  • Funny as hell.

  • "Haben sie gehort des Deutsches band?" Lol, that little Austrian dude reminds of an overweight Richard Dreyfus!

  • I. GEEVE. A. FLOWWA!

  • That's our Hitler !!!!!!!!!!

  • Dick Shawn was the greatest!

  • i LOVE this movie.

  • the remake was not meant to be a clone.

the message of the original was about the dark side of the leftwing hippies and

probably more timely right now than 1968.

the remake was a low blow about how

faggy the nazis were. 'the fuhrer was butch!' true and a very easy sell. nazi fags!

ultimately though as sterotypical as the

stiff mechnical nazi german clown. more slapstick punch. a much bigger hit in 2005 than 1968. but im sure mel brooks

was delighted by the remake as well.

  • ROTFL x 100

  • Dick Shawn is so funny. Love that Andy Warhol necklace. This is only the 2nd movie I can think of he was in besides Mad, Mad World. He really cracks me up.

  • Oh I didn't even notice that, LMAO. That makes it all the more camp-y and hilarious. It was the sixties, after all.

Kooky and mad, my God. :)

  • His boots are awesome!

  • I love the guy at 2:47 lol

  • idk about you people but i like the remake better

  • nah same. I reckon the origional was funnier when it was made O_o more relevant and the new ones just like "PSRFFFFFFFFT no timeline"

  • @TuluzSrebrovSvideos no, no, no, a thousand times no.

  • @TuluzSrebrovSvideos hey, your opinion man. But remember without this one the remake wouldn't exist. Give credit where credit is due.

  • i dont know why this wasnt in the remake. it's fkn hilarious. this reminds me of robin williams.

  • THAT'S OUR HITLER!! lol

    :P

  • I say this version is better than the new one.

  • @matt2house 100 percent definite this was one of the best films of all time i love it
