Do people not realise just how many bands go through their old demos or bring songs from sessions from previous albums, the stones did it, the beatles did it, U2 do it and the list goes on ..... !

I could write out the tabs for most of the main guitar riffs, all of the bass and drums.

I like both songs but I think Tattoo is a little better. It just seems more, for lack of a better word, developed.

@mrmusicrocks1 Exactly. Besides, this was never released on a VH album so they probably just didn't think it was ready for the studio treatment until now. Then they tweaked some stuff to make it better & BOOM we have Tattoo.

I think Tattoo is actually pretty fucking awesome! It definitely picks up from where they left off in 96, and it sure kicks the crap out of Van Hagar! They still got it!

I heard it the first time and found it a little different from their past releases! It's quite bluesy, but I gave it a chance and now, no surprise, I can't keep myself from listening to it.

I DO want more music like PANAMA, POUNDCAKE, DREAMS, RUNNING WITH THE DEVIL, JAMIE, HOT FOR TEACH and ect., there is hope! no doubt! :)

They can't get any closer to the "old" Van Halen than what they did with the new album. After all.... that IS what the fans wanted, right? The old Van Halen?
