  • THANK YOU SOO MUCH for this.

  • And what about lymphatic ducts and capillaries? What is the structure of a lymphatic ducts wall? Is it similar to a blood vessels? Would be grateful for an answer:)

  • I'm studying Medicines and my next exam is Infection and the immune system

And this helps a lot for my Histology part of the exam

    so thank you ^^

  • just wandering. the incomplete lining wall of the sinuses is the litoral cells isnt it? and, between the subcapsular and the medullary sinuses, there is a trabecular sinuses right?

  • Amazing! Now I can spend my histology reviewing on youtube!:D

  • lymphadenopathy

    what can cause it ?

  • Hi I have swollen Lymph Nodes in my neck. 1 of them has been there since summer 2009 when I was 29 year's old, it's the size of a kidney bean it's not sore. I'm tired all the time. I get itchy like some 1 has poured itching powder all over me & sweat like crazy & feel fever cold, like I been in the frezzer. Could you tell me what you think my sittuation is, what could I be dealing with. Much help over this issue would be awesome. Thank You. From Gail.

  • you need to see a doctor to get this biopsied, to rule out nodular sclerosing hodgkins disease, if you take my advice now, this could save your life

  • Hi Thank you. I have seen my Doctor over this issue. But she just said for me to go back & see her in 3 Months to get them reviewed. It will be March when I have this review. I just so tired all the time I'm dreading going into my work this Fri. The 3 month's have been a living Hell. I don't c why they have to wait until the Lymph Node, is the size of a Egg. When HL is just as bad @ the size of a Pea. I'm so upset. I have no support. I'm tryin to stay Joyful. Have a Awesome Weekend. Gail X

  • Gail, get the biopsy ASAP, press for it, TB should be ruled out too, stuffy doctors can be made to understand too¡¡¡¡

  • @WashingtonDeceit

what about the thymus isn't a lymphatic organ ...?

  • @Gail0510 it's amazing what some people put up with, you should see a doctor as soon as you suspect something is wrong, never wait, time is always a factor, how did it go? sounds ominous

  • @Gail0510 Sounds like you read those S&S right out of a book. If you really had those problems you wouldn't be posting question on You Tube, you'd go to the doctor. That's what we call a "troll post". Nice try.

  • Where is the Para-cortical zone ? Is it just a physiological landmark?

  • Comment removed

  • the paracortical zone is in between the medulla and the cortex.

  • it is also known as "deep cortex" and it is composed of T-lymphocytes (contrary to the cortex and medulla which are made of B-lymphocytes). Also you can find the HEV (high-endothelial venules) in the para-cortex / deep cortex

  • Says in wheater's functional histology 4th edn that there is a thin lining of epithelia called lymphendothelium lining the lymph sinuses... where as you say there is none.... Can you amend the video at all? I love these vids, very useful to me. Cheers. Australia

  • i have a test on this today and you in 5 minutes made more sense of this than my teacher has in weeks... probably cas i can understand you haha..thank you for this it is very helpful

  • any info i can use on this would be great... I have a suspected lymph node on the side of my neck about the size of a bean, had it for around 2 weeks, it doesn't hurt yet i have been getting headaches lately. Could anyone give me an educated guess to whether it's dangerous or not?
