  • Utterly delightfull and relaxing to listen to. I appreciate the time you took to put this together, and look forward to more of the same.

  • @MrHappyhour10 Thanks for the comment! Most of my posts feature this same era and genre of music. When you have a chance come back and explore my other listings.

  • Pure fun but people don't realize the genius of the musicians, composer and arrangers. Amazing people, there ain't any around anymore :(

  • I'm a big fan of the way it was sung by Bob Hope in the 50's as a dumbstruck Eva Marie Saint watched.

  • I have a CD of a pit orchestra playing this piece within the original overture arrangements. It's wonderful but I sure like this version as well. I wonder what that big box was on to of the grand piano in one of the pictures? Gary

  • @HD7100 I think it was an upright piano in that picture. Notice how high it is. What appears to be a box is the top lid in the open position. The center lid hinge is visible but the two outer hinges are obscured with objects on top of the piano. The photo was taken outside Federal Hall on Wall street in New York at the base of the George Washington statue. You can see one of George's boots just above the piano.

  • Great song and arrangement. I did not know this version. I know the song, sung by Josefine Baker.
