Also, the worms don't like citrus or onions. Use shredded lettuce and only feed from the top. Don't mix it in. The worms will feed and will always be at the top just under the lettuce. Coffee grounds and teabags are great too.\
Drill holes into the bottom. That way you can water the compost without drowning the worms. Also, this stew is really high on nitrogen content and is one of the best fertilizers! Put the plastic tub over another to catch the water. Also, be sure and dilute the water some because it is really strong stuff! Great for potted plants or gardens!
hey man. great vid. i know the shredded paper decomposes on its own, but what happens to the cardboard bottom layer? does it decompose, and then do you have to replace it?
@davastatorsgaming they dun really have constant gender I mean they do but the fierce females will turn into males either way and any one pls correct me if i'm wrong(in a nice manner pls:)
dude red wigglers don't need "dirt" .. like a teaspoon.. is all u need. just for there guts.. your better off putting manure or food waste in.. the bag garden center compost. your red wigglers are what are "composting" so you put the raw stuff in..
@MsTokies i dont think he is composting... he just wants worms to go fishing with ... and if this is the case these big juicy Nightcrawlers are easier to set on a hook then the smaller red wigglers.
I have to admit, you sure are one hell of a funny guy! I laughed my ass off through the whole video! I wasn't laughing at you just at your hilarious presentation! You should be a comedian! I'm serious! Way funnier than Larry The Cable Guy! Anyway, thanks for the well detailed information! I'm going to definately try this! Thank you!
@usmctd32 no holes, but the lid is not on tight -only keeps rain water out-, keep the dirt moist but dont drown them.and keep in shade , add vegtable scraps every few weeks & mix in well-thanks for watching.
