RPG Maker XP Tutorial: How To Put A Graphic In Text

AWESOME!!! You're the salt of the earth mate! I've not tested yet but, I've grabbed the demo & it's well smooth! This seems like an great way to get to know script at bog standard entry level (my level =D)

For those of you that couldn't get the "broken link" you have to sign up (I got there via google (just typed in "Ccoas UMS" into the search engine)...

Ok so I do exactly what you say.. I've tried this both with "show picture" and the UMS code, but when I insert my image name it can't find the file, but it's in the pictures part of my database.. can you give me an idea on how to fix it?x.x

@Kirarey Tomorrow, I'm gonna be working through this problem for myself (18th Nov). @Kirarey I've done pretty well with getting graphics in the text box & have got the text box to auto-fit with both the graphic & text. Sorry, I'm not on Skype.. =/ Just fire some questions at me if you like but, be warned I'm no expert.

WHAT?! u cant put images in the text for XP?! thats not fair!!! i made the pics and everythign im already about an eighth of the way done with my game!!!! is there really no way to add an image in the text for XP?

The whole time I was expecting you to put the faceset in the text box, but you never did. =( How is this considered a face tutorial if its not in the text box? Can you please show how to do that?

Hey man,

I don't know if someone has pointed this out yet, but when you copy and paste the Ccoa UMS from your website, it won't run solo without the resources in the demo. It refers to a lot of images for the "comic" style message windows, and if you don't have images named the same thing in your project, it bugs/closes. I tried to go through the script and eliminate those lines, but it looks like I don't know enough about RGSS to do it properly.

Hey on your website it says no right clicking so i can't copy it. Also i tried the demo but it wouldn't work. So i'm going to try the show picture thing but i don't have the face sets. Where do you get the face sets?

um,i'm trying to use pictures from the "battlers" folder,but why did the white background is still there? in the .PNG data its transparent..

@sumpithitam not quite sure why the background is still there. but what you can do is go to your database /battlers and import the pictures then click on the background and make it transparent. if you dont have the pictures in a file use export picture in the database

@sumpithitam go to your material database at the toolbar on top go to graphics/pictures and click import then find the picture you want. if you're looking for the faces for the characters i posted them on my website. link is in the description

@CLAYNOX when in the demo open the events of each character and look at the commands that are used. they will trigger the script and the corresponding effect

thanks for the video bro, but do you know which part of the script changes the width and heighth, or the positioning of the face graphic? i just want to move a few coordinates and cant figure out how to do this with her ums? its a nonanimated facegraphic by the way

go to script manager and that one is called Game_Picture. that section starts at line 27
