yeah i know what you mean, but a lot of people when they cover a song, tend to sing with the same accent as the actual singer. Plus its easier to sing with an accent rather than speak with one. Especially if your not a native speaker. =]

i have some constructive criticism from one musician to another. i have been training singers for 10 years now and have run into this problem with singers of all levels many times. your voice in magnificent and soothing to the soul. however, even at lower dynamics you need to push the same amount of air especially with the airy sound your portraying. take the breaks you get to completely fill your lungs with warm air and expel it evenly and naturally and this will ensure your pitches are solid.
