They're great but I didn't know they're still sold? Not on AKG's site now they've been replaced by the AKG K242HD. Lookin forward to gettin a pair of the 242's soon.

Yea you are a nerd, and yes you look like a nerd in them.. Regardless there great headphones, and your review only touched on nothing but how they sit on your head. you forgot about the techincal specs, and how great they sound. I think people are going to want to know the techincal parts of the products, and your field is broadcasting shame on you for a lousy review.

i have these cans but honestly, they're not as comfortable as the guys in the video says. The cans themselves are actually quite heavy, away long listening, your neck feels kind of stiff and pain, and these cans are just too huge.

I have these cans too, and just weighed them on my kitchen scales. They are ~240g. You must have a weak neck.

And i have these cans for some times now, The clamps are pretty tight, and the leather makes your ears warm and sweat. Perhaps with more arsenal of headphones u would find the AKG are not that comfortable.

I just got a pair of these today. they are amazing. But only if you have a good driver to push them.. your average cpu or mp3 player wont really bring them out much.. but overall they are great

They only have 55 ohms of resistance so I would say no but if you check out headphone message boards, they think EVERY headphone set needs an amp but I really don't think they do!

I just ordered a pair of these babys and while doing some research I found that these are some highly respected cans. I haven't recieved mine yet but I have high hopes and expectations. Happy Listening.

Another great feature with these headphones: Detachable Cable.  if the cable ever shorts out, you can buy a new one without replacing the whole product.

Yes, should point out that the connector on the headphone side is a mini-xlr though, so the cables are hard to come by.

I got this headphone, but should've purchased the AKG K 701 for songwriting

Some of the shows I listen to include: TWIT( nearly the entire line of shows Leo Laporte and the gang are great) The DSC with Adam Curry( A.K.A " The podfather") Podnutz( a podcast I discovered via leo laporte 's radio show) TWIP, "The apple phone show with Scott Bourne, No agenda and some NPR and BBC content.
