ok i think i should clear something up about 4 months ago PakDaeHan attacked me for my view on hung gar sd lesson 2. now find him on here doing the same thing, but the funny thing is on his comments to me he claimed to be a Sifu of BaguaZhang and Tai Ji Quan, now i find him here saying he is a master of TaeKwonDo, Goju Ryu, Shotokan and some other styles of karate i guess he had 1 lesson in each art.

Idon't profess to "KNOW" hung gar, as I am not a grandmaster, but I am a student of Hung Gar for a very good lineage. I can see where she is striking the attackers, but they lack convincing force, that tiger claw was weak, the downward block was too soft, an attacker would not react in the way as these guys did, it is creating a false impression of what would really happen, my advice would be to forget punching, unless you are a trained artist, and stick to the tiger claw hard in the face

No, what I am saying is to punch a guy full force in order to get him to open himself up for another attack like she has requires a substantial amount of strength, strength that can only come through regular training. Any woman looking at this that thinks "oh all i have to do is hit them hard like this" is in danger because she is not trained to hit them hard enough, she would do better to stick to the hung gar techniques that dont relay on strength like effective clawing and crane hits

I've seen 3 of these videos, and they are very very bad!! I hope no woman actually uses this as a guide for self-defense, since they all ignore the first principle of street self-defense: awareness. "When *surprised* by an attack"? What? No woman should ever let a strange/dangerous man get within arms distance of her, let along grab her hair/clothes. These fights are extremely unrealistic and are going to get people hurt.
