I have music on my laptop and now i am about to get serato. How easy is it to transfer music from my laptop hard drive into the serato software that is loaded on my laptop? also does serato automatically gives me the bpm of my music when i load it into Serato? Thanks
i downloaded the program from scratch live..but it happens to be different, i dont have the most of the thing here. like the the two dock...i just have it like a normal player..why?
@fookaiwai You need the hardware to use Scratch Live. The software is "free" to download, but worthless without the hardware soundcard boxes (SL1 or SL3) or mixers (TTM57 or Sixty-Eight) as that is what "unlock" the the software for full use.
I remember all those looooooooong threads in the forum about the green-notgreen-previewing songs problem... I always thought the A-B-A algorithm was the BEST idea, but didn't figure it would get added. That is awesome news!
1) No, I've never had a crash with SSL in my 4+ years of using it. They don't call me the SeratoTutor for nothing. Though, that doesn't mean yours won't crash, I just know what you can and can't do with SSL.
2) Mac
3) Try it out, you can install multiple versions of SSL without worry of it affecting the other.
No it can't be "turned off," but every time you start/load SSL it begins a new date/listing, it's not just one big continuous list with no separation. But you can delete any session also like a crate, just highlight the "date" and press Ctrl+Del to remove that session listing.
YES! Timestamp in the history...I've been thinking about requesting this, but somebody smarter than me thought it was a good idea. Exporting by date is also awesome.
where can i download for free...i love that serato software

Make sure you have the 'protect library' option unchecked in the setup menu.

U can show the Bpm on the history just click bpm and it shows up just like if you were to do it to the song.
DjwickedIn10tionz 2 years ago
can you have a more precise BPM on the display of Serato, for example say (128.4) as oppose to (128) displayed on the deck?

i have a couple questions for you.
1. Has it crashed on you yet?
2. Are you using a MAC or PC?
3. What is your overall view of the upgrade? Is it worth the risk or should I just wait for it to be released officially
