Sou violoncelista da Berliner Phillarmoniker, e fui bolsista no Brasil em 1998. Conheci Yamandu Costa em São Paulo, e ele é um GÊNIO!!! Aqui em Berlin ele foi aplaudido em pé! É um violonista MUITO competente, com um refinamento musical excepcional em sua tessitura, com um fraseado SUPER criativo! Parabéns, Brasil!

amo chorinho, e estou amando esse Yamandu Costa, desde que o "descobri" baixando chorinho no ARES, ele tocando "Brejeiro"... o vaya... ele parece possesso quando toca, e os dedos, a velô... fazendo renascer o chorinho, ritimo que eu amo mais que o samba e a bossa-nova, QUE GRAVE, REGISTRE MUITO! Sorte e sucesso sempre!

Good question indeed! But I do not think so, however, Yamandu is quite inspired by Badden´s work and Legacy.

Yes, they have met. Back in the late 1990's, Yamandu actually opened one of Baden's shows in Porto Alegre (southern Brazil) and he was introduced by Baden as a very promising talent.
