@naala221 Alice Madness Returns PC does not include the first game. The unlock was not meant for PC, so after you edited that game file, you got the button up together with the hidden dresses that was intended for the console version. IIRC, you get the first game if you pre-order any of the console version. In order for the button to work, you must get the first game separately. Mine works because I have the first game installed.

You know, I love Alice because she isn't a busty hooker-like character like in so many video games with female characters. She has a slender, but somewhat short build and a relatively flat chest, which is unconventional but still makes her very pretty. :3

@DarknessPrincess7473 Read the video's description, there's a guideline for enabling the DLC stuff. I did that and it worked without any problem, go try try :D

*P.S. The "Play American's McGee's Alice" option is useless, it'll just close the Alice Madness Returns game itself. In other words, sadly you can't play after enabling the DLC but you still have the dresses and weapons :DD

Only the following dresses: Steamdress, Siren, Silk Maiden, Royal Suit, and Misstitched. They can be unlocked by completing each chapter of the game. For the rest, you have to get the DLC and basically you need to pay for it.

Funny how you can get the DLC in the PC version for free.

@SHiNsubs On the other hand, all the button prompts are stuck in the console versions. Or at least they were in the playthrough of one LPer I watched. And he apparently had an XBox controller plugged in, but didn't use it. So unless that changed something, the PC version seems to suffer from a lazy port.

the silk maiden outfit would only be better if it was folded in reverse (left over right) then what it is shown here (right over left) since dead people wear it left over right and it just makes sense for alice to wear it in a strange way, but its a very nice outfit in any case :D

@TToud they are better. if you choose vorpal cleaver instead of vorpal blade, it reduces enemy damage by half. the octo-grinder (instead of pepper grinder) has more ammo limit, the knightmare (instead of hobby horse) gives you energy with every shot and catnip cannon (instead of teapot cannon), increases damage to enemies by half. :3

Not sure it applies to other international versions. Have you edited the file, saved the changes WHILE the game is closed? If yes, I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. The change should happen instantly after you edited the file and started the game.

Mine is a PC version and if you pre-ordered it, you get these additional costumes and weapons. For those who didn't pre-order it can also get these items by editing a part of the ini file. For the console versions, it's a DLC so you have to cough up some cash in order to get these.

If I recall, the addition of the first game is only available for people who pre-ordered the console version. No PC version. I was able to play the first game because I had it installed years ago. AMD probably linked itself to the old game. Unfortunately I can't uninstall the first game to confirm. I lost my installer. ;_;

The costumes from Caterpillar to Hattress are readily available once you start the game, I think. I didn't check the EQUIP menu before I beat Chapter 1. There are two more costumes that are still locked. I'm playing it now to get them. =)

@Aanika If you have the pc version all you do is go to the Alice Madness Returns folder and then click AliceGame>Config>AliceEngine and near the bottom where it says GIsSpecialPCEdition=False

you switch the "False" to True and close and save it. Then when you play alice and go to "equip" it has all the outfits a weapons.
