I saw Fator perform when he was still in high school. He's a talented fellow, yes, I'm a little jealous after years of trying to "make it" in showbiz. But couldn't be happier for TF. He stuck with it, on his terms, and he's a decent human being. He's got some great acting chops too.
Absolutely agree with Gnillob802. Terry just signed a deal with Mirage that makes him the highest paid ventriloquist in Vegas history. The rocket has left the launch pad and everyone is looking up with envy. Duham is funny sometimes but its not my taste. I think he fills a certain niche market but certainly not going to be that memorable years from now. Terry Fator is the next Jim Henson/Paul Winchel/Edgar Bergen as far as mass appeal goes. He is going to be a bankable household name.
Jeff is no where near as good for several reasons. Most obvious is he can't do impressions or sing. Those two factors alone put Terry on a higher plateau. There are a million impressionist/comedians. Only one has the talent to do what Terry is doing. Like the great ventriloquists, Terry adds pathos to his comedy. There is absolutely no heart to most of Jeff's comedy, and therefore his puppets are less real. They don't occupy the same sphere of reality as the Muppets or Terry Fators work.
