I think there are so many heros out there on the frontlines. but the US Navy Seabees are the true unsung heroes of this war. we love you all and hope you come home safe and sound soon. I am a US Naval Seacadet and as soon as I achive the proper rank I plan on going to summer training for the Seabees. HOOYAH!
From all of us Seabee vets who have "Been There, Done That" - Welcome to the next step in the brotherhood. You're doing it. By the looks of things you're maintaining our tradition of "Can Do". The only other inspiration I can give you is the last line of John Wayne's in our movie "The Fighting Seabees". It helped to push me further when I needed it, and that is "Go on Seabee. Hold the Island".
My husband is currently on his third tour in Iraq. Even though I worry about him every minute I don't hear his voice on the phone, I am so proud of him and the other Seabees. The US Navy Seabees are the unsung behind the scenes heroes who help provide a better quality of life for their fellow troops as well as the Iraqi people. I can't wait until he is home, and have faith that the Seabees who take over where he left of will live up to the "can do" spirit!
This is one of the best of seen daughter in seabees leaving for Iraq soon wish I could have a copy to show her I am also Ombudsmen for here battlion 17 meaning I will be taking care of their famlies while they are in country for support It's wonderful, seabeemam
Kind sir, - am on my 2nd tour now - more so now than before - our mission is utmost and upheld my higher traditions - without your actions and those before - we could not do ours.
From an old Seabee to those of you now: Bravo Zulu. You are maintaining the pride and tradition for those of us Seabees who have gone before you. As your video shows, one day there is nothing, the next day we are there. Remember, you are Seabees. None of them have anything without all of you. That is why the rest of the military's engineers send their people to us to be trained - the Seabee way.
I may not be in the navy yet but I wish to join. When I join I want to follow in your steps. Fighting the war on terror doesnot just ivolve guns but it involves people with a hammer and nail and I salute you for your service. "HOOORAHH FOR THE ARMED SERVICES."
Do not think, my brother, that you are unappreciated. I am a firm beliver in our Navy.
No other service is "forward deployed" each time they go out and do their mission - sometimes we have bases in Kosovo, Germany or whatever - but the Navy is self-sufficient and team oriented.
Thank you Sea-Bees and to our Navy bretheren ... your service and dedication are needed.
I mean my husband is in the Navy, Brother ::blush:: I'll give him your message though. Thankyou for your kind words. I hope you make a new video soon.
Thanks guys...

Am "mobing" now and am heading back in 2 1/2 months.
Am excited and a bit nervous. But it's simple as to why:
Isaiah 6:8
I heard the voice of the Lord say "Who will go for us? Whom shall we send?"
I said: "Here I am. Send me!"
