I played GOW 2 using emulator PCSX2 r4600 final version

When play GOW 1 with this Emulator, infinite red orbs at Oracle Temples play nicely so I doubt it's my emulator fault.

Is it because during my Air Swim, I'm still opened Phoenix Feather and Gorgon Eye's chest?

Through extreme luck, I managed to do it once without falling but stuck in the Great Chasm part 1 where Kratos must Spiderman-ized a lot of grapple points. The area beyond square entrance after the last grapple didn't loaded, and only a sea of mist before black out completely.

I failed the 2nd attempt to swim again till now.

Might help if you can create HD version of this video, to see where exactly Kratos must stand before rolling.

I do exactly like what you do, but when I manage to 'swim' it's either Kratos fall down and die or swim and then suddenly being sucked to the sky before the screen turn black (but I know the game still playing since I can look at my health bar etc during the "black out"

btw,

my condition is BoA in lvl3 CR lvl1 and TB lvl1 Titan Mode Normal Play (but already completed Challenge of the Titan/unlocked all urns)

@Bloodwrath9650 I played to the end of the game after doing this, the game gives you the fleece automatically during the battle at Zeus. It's not an issue, I did it during my speedrun. There is a link on my channel that shows it.

~The only thing you can't skip is the amulet.

@TehGameDude It's a matter of rolling in the right spot near the water. Roll in the same spot that I do in this vid, it takes a few goes at first. After a while you know exactly where to roll. This works on PS2 and PS3.

At the divine pools, the part where you roll into and the collision error happens, i simply skip a frame rate and end up on the second step, can you explain?

you've probably done this but i'll ask anyway: have you tried swimming upwards or sideways at the icarus area in order to skip the cutscene trigger?

@voldmerot Yeah, you can skip the trigger and go all the way to the save point in the distance. Unfortunately as you approach the palace it vanishes and you are swimming in pure darkness, since there is nothing really "there", except for the savepoint. You can actually save using that savepoint, but it's of no use.

@DBZisthebestanimever Swimming glitch can be stopped by simply touching any "water", or by getting stone frozen (but make sure you are touching the ground when you do - or you'll fall and break). Or when you fight Icarus, swimming will go away automatically.

@juliettelamuria Sorry, I mean to say that previously this glitch could be done in "Bonus Play" only (by using Infinite jump and long jump). But now - like in this vid - it can be done in "Normal Play". So yes, it can be done in normal play like you see here.

@iamtheman21412 It's just a matter of finding the right spot, its not too easy but not too hard either. You want the back of Kratos' neck to hit the side of the small pool edges side. Kratos then continues his roll down throught the floor and through the water.

I don't think this works on the collectors edition. I'm doing it right now and everytime I go through the wall behind the statues head all I get is grey smoke, if I swim far enough out the screen turns completely black and kratos disappears. am I doing something wrong?

@franchiseboy83 It works on the collector's edition. After getting swimming, you have to make Kratos swim and stay on the big Lahkesis statue's hands, and watch the cutscene of Kratos hitting its face. This will load the next area, there are a few other triggers you need to hit along the way to Icarus as well.

@franchiseboy83 You cant skip the wings unfortunately, and the palace is not actually "there". As you approach the Palace you only get met by unloaded darkness.

Yep! Just roll in the right spot and Bingo! Normal Play or Bonus Play, Easy mode or Titan Mode. Give it a try, takes about 7 goes to get it.

This isn't my favorite GoW II skip, though. My favorite is the one where I skip playing the game altogether. I don't even have to turn on my PS2 for that one.

Yeah, you can get through without BH EH SoD and fleece. But you DO have to get the amulet, theres no avoiding that one at this date.

Yeah, this is the first time this glitch is possible in "Normal Play".

Just to note: you shouldn't tap circle repeatedly at Icarus. You just fall down slower to the platform. It's also possible for you to do certain amount of damage to him before participating in the mini-game, resulting in a quick Icarus kill like in the vid where I pulverize him with the BH. The minigame only gets stuck if you inflict too much damage to him before beginning the minigame.

Yeah, Ill be doing that cool BH-Icarus tactic in my speedrun soon when I get to it. Im looking forward for when Ive completed Atlas. Shen did Atlas in one hit without using a single savepoint.

The spot to start the roll is pretty specific, but its relatively easy. You can get it about every 6-7 attempts.
