  • Something bad happened to human civilization. Ancient time people loved and protected nature, lived in harmony with it. But today most of the people consider it just to be a resourse. There is spiritual way to live and have technology without ruining planet.

  • Reading the comments here, how this experimentation continues is relatively obvious. Both sides do little more than bicker of morality, failing to do any real research.

Cell cultures, eye banks, stem cell, and possibly in vitro (once developed) are more modern, accurate measures of testing. Morality doesn't have to be questioned anymore. The process is simply outdated.

Alternated aren't told by media due to companies using animal experiments as an excuse when their product fails.

  • PS It is obvious that the 2 comments at top from jessicacutie123 and summergirlxyz are actually from supporters of animal experimentation, the purpose being to make opponents of this crime appear foolish...you're not fooling us.

  • "Animals in Cancer Research: A Multi-Billion Dollar Fraud", by Dr Irwin D. Bross reproduced in Fundamental and Applied Toxicology, November 6 1982. It begins:

"The use of animals in cancer research has been attacked as unnecessary cruelty to animals, and defended as absolutely essential for research progress that will prevent or cure human cancer. From a scientific standpoint, what is pertinent is that what are called 'animal model systems' in cancer research have been a total failure."

  • @noratmedicine Cancer. I am disappointed that you bring cancer up. I may not have as much internet-gathered information, but I do have an old college microbiology book in front of me. People aren't killing "the poor" animals because they are sadists, it's because they find the solution to one problem and try to apply the basic idea of that solution to a similar problem. Cancer is a big no-no in a discussion like this because it it too complicated a disease to be cured in as little 100 years.

  • @Gurgleschlortz Worth noting that Dr Bross was former director of the memorial sloan kettering cancer centre which was and may still be the largest private cancer centre in the world. the reason it (and other diesease)_are not being cured is because results are not transferable between species. it gets cured in animals all of the time...and to add injury to more injury most carcinogens are animal 'tested'

  • ... uses an arsenal of automated devices and computers to test potential cancer-fighting drugs on real human cancer cells grown in laboratories rather than on mice. This enables scientists to test more than 300 chemicals a week. Many of these drugs had failed in the past when tested on mice."

("Giving up on the Mice. Scientists Searching for Cancer-cures Try a New Tactic", Time Magazine, September 17 1990.)

  • "For 35 years U.S. scientists labouring in the National Cancer Institute's screening programme have injected more than 400,000 chemicals into leukemic mice, hoping to find chemotherapies that would help solve the riddles of cancer... We've been using the wrong system as the screening device."

"The new system which is being employed at the Development Therapeutics Programme in Frederick, Maryland...

  • DAVID KORN Chairman of the National Cancer Institute's (sometimes known as the National Mouse Institute) Advisory Board says:...

  • @noratmedicine You disappoint me. You keep coming back with an argument that has no relevance, of course I know mice aren't predictive for humans, but I never said I was rooting for either side. As I recall, I mention the stupidity of the commenters and their constant complaining about little more than a handfull of organisms. I wish to also point out that you are the most ignorant, stupid, and repetitive person I have ever seen.

  • The US National Cancer Institute also undertook a 35 year screening programme, testing 400,000 plant species on animals for anti-tumour activity. Out of the outrageously expensive research, many positive results surfaced in animal models, but not a single benefit emerged for humans. As a result, the NCI now uses human cancer cells for cytotoxic screening.[25]

25# Handbook of Laboratory Animal Science, Volume II Animal Models Svendensen and Hau (Eds.) CRC Press 1994 p4."

  • @noratmedicine You are so stupid it is unbelievable. I never said anything about animal testing in my original statements. You have yet to come up with a valid reason as to why you people act so fucking retarded. The world is literally falling apart around us and you people are STILL complaining about some lesser animals you'll probably forget about 3 days later. You take quotes from websites and call it a debate, but I call it denial.

  • @noratmedicine Either the cancerous cells are contained in a membrane inside your body where they can be safely removed, or they are not contained in a membrane and can spread through your body by means of your blood stream. The speed at which they spread leaves little time to do anything at all.

  • cont.

    It concludes:

"The moral is that animal model systems not only kill animals they also kill humans. There is no good factual evidence to show that the use of animals in cancer research has led to the prevention or cure of a single human cancer."

  • @noratmedicine What's funny is that I never really mentioned animal testing at all, I was talking to the people, point out how stupid they were. Activists are scum and need to be stomped out, all you do is whine and cry and moan. Those dead animals will not affect you in any way what so ever, you chose to complain because you want money or attention or even just because you are plain stupid.

  • Cont.

This article exposes that cancer research using animals is a highly profitable undertaking for certain medical schools and research institutes that are incapable of doing genuine cancer research - and that the use of animals is sustained by what Dr Bross says is a "superstitious belief in a grossly unscientific notion that mice are miniature men"

  • Comment removed

  • @SimmehX3 How can you be so ignorant, SO STUPID? Is this what the average human being has come to? Do you even know what an activist is? An activist is a non productive member of society, advancing nothing except for their opinions and their checkbook. Science is the future, reality might break your precious little heart, you pampered baby, but it is still reality and there is nothing you can do about it. So toughen up and accept the facts.

  • @Gurgleschlortz Animal experimentation for human medicine is not science so how is this comment relevant? No species is predictive for humans. The onus is on you to prove that human medicine can be reliably based on animals. Can you tell me one species which is predictive for humans?

  • @noratmedicine No, because that's not what I said at all. Now try again.

  • @Gurgleschlortz You do realise that if no species is PREDICTIVE for humans then no animal experiment for humans can be called science. That should really be the end of the discussion on this topic. if you do want to make another claim by all means do so and I will reply later

  • @Gurgleschlortz i'm pretty sure you're a waste of my time, You're as ignorant as i am so lets keep it that way :) Humans have life spam just like other animals so theres no point in arguing in such a dum topic i mean we all r gonna be dead some day now toughen up because thats the truth .

  • @SimmehX3 What an intelligent response, you managed to avoid responding to anything I said and still make yourself look stupid. Good job there, idiot. I'm going to leave you to figure out what you did wrong on your own. Don't bother talking to me until you come up with something valid.

  • @Gurgleschlortz Your argument is invalid, is that better? :)

  • @SimmehX3 How about you read my original response some more before saying anything else stupid, kiddo. Your response was invalid because it did not actually address anything I said in my response. Based on this information, we can see that it is your argument that is invalid.

  • do these experiments on the low lifes in jail who raped and killed ppl. not animals. thatb way you can really find a human cure for human disease stupid a** wanna be scientist who dont know their own a**hole from a hole in the ground pieces of sh*t

  • human tissue cells grown inside a test tube with no feeling could be tested upon and will give more accrate results yet people still torture poor, defenceless animals. why?

  • What a stupid video.

  • It’s been well known for maybe two decades that many of these preclinical human cancer models have very little predictive power in terms of how actual human beings – actual human tumours inside patients – will respond…Preclinical models of human cancer, in large part, stink…Hundreds of millions of dollars are being wasted every year by drug companies using these [animal] models…Prof. Robert Weinberg, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Fortune, 9th March.2004

  • This made me so...Hungry

  • The point is...even if animal testing does have scientific value, how selfish are we in taking advantage of their will to live, simply so that we may life LONGER? We're all going to die eventually, and the fact that someone thinks its OK to play God and deny other creatures a natural existence/death(even if its being hunted by humans..at least they LIVED naturally!) simply because they want to extend their life and get rid of cancer, is a pathetic reason. We don't wish to die, yet we kill others?

  • These animals only exist because humans bred them for this purpose. No one is catching wild animals and bringing them into a lab.

  • YOUR life has been saved by animal testing on multiple occasions. All of you.

  • @aviebaby4 Ok how would you like to have bolts and all-sorts of things put in you?

There are probably hundreds of natural cures from plants out there but some humans decide to test animals in unimaginable conditions that you or i have ever experienced

  • @betboo99 You fools say the phrase "Animal Testing" as if homosapiens are not animals too. Can't you see that those degenerates are just trying to gain more money, nobody gives two fucks about animals in those environmentalist groups. All they care about is the free money that they get for demonizing something that has been done for hundreds of years by taking pictures of extremely large-eyed animals and placing them into powerpoint presentations.

  • @43Coda Thanks Coda. While i agree with your sentiment its importnat to know that animal experiments do not cure cancer or any disease and in fact cause many of them eg warnings were kept off cigarette lables for 10 years by animal 'tests'. While people believe tha tthis saves their lives they will never want it stopped. If you want to stop it use the science/human health argument see safermedieines. net vivisectioninformation. com mrmcmed. org navs. org Thanks

  • Animal exp. has no scientific value. The former scientific director of Huntington Life Sciences, one of the largest contract research labs in the world, Dr Ralph Haywood said, "The best guess for the correlation of adverse reactions between human and animal toxicity data is somewhere between 5% and 25%" and "90% of our work is done for legal and not for scientific reasons." curedisease . net

  • Do you know that one child dies of starvation every 5 seconds? Do you know that ALF has set car bombs for scientists who are trying to develop medical treatments that may save or improve the quality of both human and animal lives someday? Apparently, the life of a guinea pig is more important that the life of a child to some radical activists. Get your head on straight.

  • @aviebaby4 Firstly what does a child dying of

starvation have to do with this video?

Secondly animal tests have proved to be 33% reliable.

So you are far better off tossing a coin to the outcome.

Prescribed medecines in the uk are the 4th

biggest killer behind heart disease strokes & cancer.

Animal testing not only kills poor harmless animals it kills

    humans too!!!...

  • Animal tests are cruel & unreliable.

There are many techniques available now that

are far more reliable & a fraction of the cost.

Vivisection is scientific fraud. Animals cannot

replicate human conditions fullstop. The pretence

they can has cost many millions of animals & human lives already...

  • The pharmaceutical companies have far to much

money & power. But there is no money to be made

in a simple cure for diseases, merely the eternal promise

for finding a cure. All the time we continue this charade

    we shall all suffer!!!

  • @mrfurrylover Well done, all good and valid points. "... for the great majority of disease entities, the animal models either do not exist or are really very poor. [We risk] overlooking useful drugs because they do not give a response to the animal models commonly used."

Professor Colin Dollery in Risk-Benefit Analysis in Drug Research, ed. Cavalla, 1981, p87.

  • @noratmedicine Thanks

  • @aviebaby4 if you've ever been to farms before ("family-owned" "free-range" and factory-farmed),and even stockyards, you'd go vegan too.The idea is not to deny that it's in our nature to consume animals; the idea is that we have since evolved far ahead of other species, and with that, we have developed integrity, yet we throw it away like a nuisance when it suits us best.We have the technology to produce alternatives to meat, yet still treat animals like commodities. It used to not be like that.

  • What would happen to the three hundred thousand dairy cows in the united states if everyone became vegan tomorrow? Do you think farmers are going to go millions of dollars in debt caring for animals which no longer produce a valuable product just to save their beloved pet cows? Veganism makes no sense economically, from a world hunger standpoint, or biologically. Humans aren't meant to take artificial supplements each day to supply essential amino acids that should come from meat.

  • @aviebaby4 not all vegans are out to end the consumption of animals, but thank you for stereotyping, like most people do. Also, almost every factory-farm is "family-owned", yet contracted and controlled by one of the 4 major corporations (Cargill, Tyson, Smithfield, etc). Those farmers are already in debt because of the demands and constant mechanical/structural revisions these corporations ask for. These farms make up about 80% of the farming industry, and its growing.

  • @aviebaby4 just saying, it's not as cut and dry as you put it out to be, and not all animal rights activists have the same agenda, so please try and open up your mind :) . Veganism makes no sense economically? Why do you think this is? bc our industrialization and obessession with having everything we want, having it faster, materialism... taking up land that could be the natural habitat for those animals is now gone. We have forced ourselves into this corner. To use money as an reason is sad.

  • PETA would have us release all our pets so they can all be strays and suffer disease, malnutrition, parasites, and trauma. They neglect the fact that these domesticated species (pets and farm animals), which were created by humans through many generations of selective breeding, are unable to survive in the wild. Animal Liberation Front routinely releases animals from fur farms only so that half of them are killed on the highway. Which is more cruel?

  • You have no facts. You have never seen what happens inside real animal labs. Every possible measure is taken to ensure the comfort and happiness of the animals. You only assume it's cruel. If you notice, most of the horrible videos that radical animal rights activism organizations show you are very old and some are not even from within the united states. A lot of images in THIS VIDEO are not even of lab animals, but neglected strays.

  • Animals at my university are not suffering and are very well cared for because I am the one caring for them. Most of the time, I cannot even see any signs of what the investigators are doing with them. It may be as simple as drawing blood once a week.

Researchers in my facility have recently discovered a new treatment for paralysis due to spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. Its a potassium channel blocker that restores function to neurons with damaged myelin. It will improve many lives.

  • @aviebaby4 ya well how many INOCENT animals died for that?? Animals do lots for humans while we treat them like SHIT! ANIMAL TESTING IS RETARTED!! Prisoners that are spending life/death should be tested on!!

  • Animals in respectable biomedical research labs today receive better care and quality of life than half of the house pets in the United States. Husbandry procedures are governed by the animal welfare act, the institutional animal care and use committee, AND study specific SOPs approved by a board of licensed veterinarians before animals are obtained. These policies define every aspect of proper animal care including cage space requirements, nutrition, light cycles, temperature, and enrichment.

  • @aviebaby4 are the animals left out without having chemicals in them?

  • The people who made this video know nothing about laboratory animal testing. Most of the photos were not even of lab animals and the photos that actually were of lab animal testing look like they are from the 1950s when there were no laws protecting animals in labs. This is nothing like the animal research that takes place today.

  • @aviebaby4 ya you work in 1 lab out of how many? Not all labs are the same! Just cause ur one happens 2 b a tiny bit better doesnt mean that happens everywhere!!

  • look i love my kitty and my dog but they also are not humans and we need something to test on and since we cant use humans its easier this way its caused so much for us that helps up ad r.i.p the animals but they are animals

  • If you really cared about your pets, you would not have said that as anyone who thinks that testing on animals is the right thing to do is an evil and sadistic person who deserves to rot in hell.

As for saying that we can't test on humans, I think that they should start testing on humans.....starting with you!!

  • Like the fact you want to stop animal testing but I don't agree it's worse than slaughter. They are both exploitative activities which we should not be carrying out

  • whats the song? someone please get back to me.

    much appreciate it. :-)

  • "its using animals for scientific advantages"

Wrong. It's the BELIEF of scientific advances. And there never has been any advances from it.

"so whats the difference between animal testing . . . and slaughter?"

    The answer is . . .

No difference, its the same, both are beliefs that man can do or consume animals. It is indoctrination over many years, time and dumbing down peoples perceptions.

  • Sadly, this is a law required by the government to test drugs on animals to see the different results for us...

  • I am doing a Power Point about animal testing

and I was wondering if any one knew the song ?

    id appreciate it

  • im doing a power point

and I was wondering if anyone knew the

    name of this song ?

  • First, dear sir, if you are a biologist, your English is lacking, "without having no idea" "THEN you'll be able to critisize what you want..."? WHAT? Secondly, many people are informed about the methods used to exploit these defenseless creatures. I am not a vegan, nor a member of any group, just an informed human, who knows that animal testing is inaccurate, at best. What is the purpose in testing the effects of smoking on dogs and monkeys when we have the answers from humans? Should I go on?

  • There's only 1 party which has a policy of banning vivisection, banning live exports and banning Halal meat.

    VOTE BNP

  • whats wrong with halal meat?

  • It is totally evil how they kill the animals.

  • we need animals to keep us safe and keep us from dieing. but there are more than 500 dieing every day. and there are also alternative ways of testing products without the use of animals

  • No we don't need animals to give up their lives for us, I am a STRONG believer that if you are supposed to die of cancer etc....You DIE!!

  • just because they cant speak for the selfs does not mean they can do what ever they want with the cute animals

  • @summergirlxyz Perhaps that you are a supporter of animal experiments trying to make its opponents look like fools. You arent capable of responding to valid points made against animal experiments. If you are a young person who is really opposed to animal experiments please use human health argument too...ie humans are not mice or monkeys, our medicine cannot be based on them. curedisease. net mrmcmed. org are some good sites

  • @noratmedicine I am a young person, I see people like you every day, and every day I become slightly less sane. I hardly ever talk to anyone around me because they are so incredibly stupid. But when I scrolled down to the comments section of this video, I went into some form of shock for about three or four minutes. It was painful to see so much ignorance in one place.

  • @Gurgleschlortz If you want to see ignorance in one place just go to any lab where they are trying to cure a human disease by animal experiments. Unless your relatives are mice ofcourse..."The history of cancer research has been a history of curing cancer in the mouse. We have cured mice of cancer for decades, and it simply didn’t work in humans." Dr Richard Klausner, Director, National Cancer Institute, LA Times, May 6. 1998

  • thats right its cruel to animal test

  • True !

but i strongly disagree with Tompazi because some people would rather be tested on rather then the animals ! Animals are put on the earth just like humans and they NEED their own RIGHTS ! its not fair when they never even want any of this and the dumbass scientists are fucking pricks and dont care about the pain the animals go through ! And what about if a product tested on an animal has a different resolt from a human ?!?!? WHAT IF !!!!

  • BUT THINK!

Animals partly get overdoses of drugs. Why? Would you like to die instead of the animal?

Would you like to eat a drug no one has tested before and you don't know if it's poisionous?

Millions animals die for millions of millions humans with cancer (nearly 8 million deaths per year), with HIV/Aids (34 million people infected), with malaria (three million deaths annually) and with other diseases.

DO YOU WANT THEM TO DIE FOR YOUR PETS?

  • Well they don't deserve this. They have lives and feelings too. Just tell me this would you like to get tortured like they do. They are just poor defensless animals that deserve to live to.

  • Well to be fair Tompazi I totally get where you're coming from but to go to the extent of carrying out pointless experiments on animals is just wrong. For medical testing I understand. However, if one human person gets ill and needs medication then they will test the drugs out on like 40 different animals which isn't right. Furthermore, why must animals be punished for our sakes. For example, cosmetic products such as mascara are tested on the animals which is pure cruelty in my eyes.

  • Ohh, thisis horrible ...

Oh no wait I forgot something this not just legal they have to do this by law. Every drug (medicament) has to be tested on animals. First on mice and a if a high number of mice survive the drug passes the first test, then it's the turn of the rabbits or pigs (or sometimes dogs). And the last animals are of course the monkeys.

    I can't see why you're against this.

If there was a vote to end this you would probably win.

  • We are against animal testing for the several reasons:

    It's EVIL.

    It's POINTLESS.

    It proves nothing.

Their are other methods of finding cures etc, without using a single animal.

I strongly believe that we should test on prisoners.

  • I totally agree, this is horrible. And it´s legal... WTF! How can any one be so cruel?

  • featured in ads playlist ~

  • Animal testing is every bit as cruel and dishonorable as any other form of animal abuse. Those who participate in and perpetrate vivisection are heartless, speciesist brutes who have no right to expect compassionate treatment themselves.

  • @animalliberation0961 Do you know what an animal is?

  • Friggin' AWESOME summary of the current state of U.S. animal experimentation... I hope everyone reads it and takes it to heart, then writes and calls their congressmen and demands that the system be more accountable for how tax money is spent on secret labs and experiments.

Beautiful work, Ramesh; you're my new hero!

  • You sick fuck, I hope that you die a very, very slow and painful death you sick fucka!!

  • Watch Unnecessary Fuss (1-5).

  • I watched....It´s so cruel..I started to cry...
