I own the album of Lonesome Crow and this song is on there and you're right, you can barely recognize Klaus on there. I've never seen him before with a beard.
I can't yet recognize Klaus, and I can't believe he was only 24 years old in this video and has more beard than me, I'm almost 26, now I'm going mad!!!
The Scorpions owned the 70's. The Scorpions were what Blackmore had only wished Deep Purple could have been. Compare them album to album. On the next album the Scorps had Uli John Roth...a man light years ahead of his peers ! The problem was, RCA screwed them on promotion. Then they ruled the 80's with some of the best commercial metal ever laid on tape. They held on in the rough 90's ( check out the acoustica vids ) and came back to their metal roots in the 2000's ! Great band !!!!!
I wish I could have seen these guys back in 1974. But no, I get to grow up when these rappers are big. I'm basically the kid at my school who owns a Scorpions album. Man, I would've loved to experience the 70's...
Thanks to top 40 radio that are now classic rock stations I didn't hear of Scorpions UFO or MSG until the late 70's Then one day I caught MSG on The Merv Griffin Show playing Captain Nemo, Need I say more!
FANTASTICA QUESTA CANZONE! DA PROPRIO L'IMPRESSIONE DI UN UOMO IN PREDA AD UNA MALATTIA MENTALE. I CORI DI SOTTOFONDO, POI, MI PORTANO AD IMMAGINARE UN PAZZO CHE CAMMINA SOLITARIO IN UN DESERTO.
Lonesome crow is a fantastic album. The scorpions moved on but its got some of the most wild stuff on it they ever did. Micheal went on to record some amazing stuff with UFO e.g. rock bottom. Don't write it off as hippie its just early wild screaming rock n roll and it does make you think of stuff like wicked world by sabbath.
How the hell does this have more views then, say, Far Away or Robot man? Get a clue and stop fixating on how it looks or whatever. It was the 70's. All rock musicians made clowns of themselves back then.
Ahh the scorps were so good in the 1970s it is not funny. I think they regressed in the 80s this often happens to bands when they get pushed into a commercial format. The same was true with judas priest, I love their 70s stuff the best, by the 80s they got more commercial. Also Schenker was so good when he was gust 16 already soloed like Iommi

Yes, once upon a time, hippies of Germany, and everywhere else like minded people woke up, broke out from the crippling segregation of racism, social repression and the knuckle heads like the new GOP and old neo-nazis and brought instead: expression!
"Lonesome Crow" is actually one of the best hard-rock albums & it benefits from the hippie vibe of the period. Way better than later commercialized poseur "Rock You Like A Douchycane" bullshit on MTV. Better a hippie than a poseur. In the same way, UFO was way better than MSG (except for "Assault Attack" which is killer). That whole polished Metal-Poseur angle really destroys anything organic & soulful in the music & that's why you had speed metal in the mid 80s as a reaction to that BS.
are you f-n kidding this is epic footage --should be placed in a time capsule --one of the mosat underapprciated and under-rated songs and debut albums of all- time--Probably hands down #1 ....Scorps and klause --timeless geniuses!!!!!!!
Its amazing that Michael kept the same tone all these years...well its only changed ever so slightly because of technology...but Im 17 and his tone is the tone i grew up with thanks to my pops getting me into Schenker and UFO wen i was just a youngster

@voxclimantis1 Scorpions never recorded with other singer,it was always Klaus. He look very diferent in this video because of the beard. He's voice sounded different...but its him belive me.Peace.
@beroth77 Klaus Meine sounds different from the early 80s on because he lost his voice and needed two operations and vocal chord retraining. That's why his voice was nasally in the 80s and gradually lost the nasal sound.
So is this really Wolfgang Dziony on drums? I found several posts on the Scorpions website forums claiming that when this video was filmed, they were on a drummer prior to Wolfgang. (Apparently there was quite the rotation on the drummer's seat in those days, around the time of Lonesome Crow.) I'm curious what the actual answer is there.
Very cool! Check out my artist/virtuoso guitarist Marc Eric. He played on one of Graham Bonnet's albums and has just released a new CD which includes a cover of "Lights Out" (Michael Schenker)

If you're going to Frankfurt am Main be sure to wear an edelweiss in your hair.

This album is amazing. Is this a different band than the late 70's group because I can't listen to the later stuff?

So is this really Wolfgang Dziony on drums? I found several posts on the Scorpions website forums claiming that when this video was filmed, they were on a drummer prior to Wolfgang. (Apparently there was quite the rotation on the drummer's seat in those days, around the time of Lonesome Crow.) I'm curious what the actual answer is there.

Very cool! Check out my artist/virtuoso guitarist Marc Eric. He played on one of Graham Bonnet's albums and has just released a new CD which includes a cover of "Lights Out" (Michael Schenker)
