That is easily enough time to form a pretty informed decision about what constitutes a band "selling out". Mark,Tripp and the rest of the guys are so far removed from selling out the very idea is laughable. How do you sell out if your breaking your ass working construction all day then playing to a thousand screaming fans at night?
selling out isn't about becoming mainstream, it's about letting the record industry force you into writing commercial songs for money. This also means the band loses what they stand for and the heart to their music. It's not about being on MTV or playing at warped tour. BUT HEEEYY I don't know shit about this band so they probably could have sold out.

This band has been on MTV!? I met this girl who had like a crazy mohawk with leopard print on the sides and shit and she had NEVER heard of the Unseen or heard the song "Institutionalized"... fucking poser! lulz. When they used to visit Los Angeles at the Allen theatre they would drive down in a beat up Aerostar. I mean they don't even make that damn car anymore. Fans were pissed when the guys from good charlotte were on TRL wearing an unseen shirt which made teenyboppers check them out. The unseen had no real control over it. They were kidna shoved into it, and honestly, who wouldnt take it? If youve been playing for well over 10 years, you know you would.
