  • W G C I - Chicago Babeee!!!

  • dont worry folks uk garage and house are back!

  • love that 3rd sample at 0:50sec whitney houston.

  • Bloody hell like what a tune!

  • I was 9 in 1993 so had no conception of house music, but my god this is one hell of a tune!

  • 168 Likes. NO dislikes! That's house :')

  • MINT

  • muito nostaugico essa musica ! nao existe mais house music e/ou e-music como era nos anos 90!

  • One of the best productions by Richard and Doug.

Love this..... I first heard it on a mix by Roger Sanchez

Still have my copy of this gem.

  • Nice! One of the first tracks I got when I first started DJing!

  • Coool, Richard Payton underneath my comment :)))

  • It was my first record i digitalized. A must in every house-collection!

  • This reminds me of being like fourteen or fifteen and going to my first parties. I was scared to death as we all know how wonderful the neighborhoods were where parties typically took place. Once you got inside those doors you were treated to bumpin 4-4 beats like this all night long. enthralled, scared, and overstimulated all at once. Memories I cherish still to this day.

  • I've been looking for this since it came out!! Thankx for the post and Long live REAL HOUSE MUSIC!! LOVE IT!!!

  • W.T.F!!!!!

  • Nice to know that ther are so many Soul and Funk original House and Garage fans out there. It really was a special time in music in general for alot of form of Dance music. And more so with the music's of House and Garage and HipHip. These two music's from both sets of fans often consider this period the "Golden Period" of their respective music's.

All of these people's were young, raw and had fresh ideas on how the music could sound. But the never forgot about the vibe of Soul, Jazz and Funk

  • @redjam40 You are so right. We were young, enthusiastic, and to a degree not yet exposed to too much of the dirty side of the business. Just making tunes and having fun doing it. And no matter what style of house Doug and I did (vocal, tracks, hard, smooth), we always tried to put the soul into it.

  • @richardpayton1 Omg Richard Payton(95 North Productions). I have seen you close up as well & I shook your hand. You came to a Town called Ipswich, here in the Uk. Club Uk Hollywoods. REMEMBER!

But listening to this single it has the Funk and Jazz elements that creates the Groove within this single. However the Soul Music part is important. To make even more pleasurable we have that lovely Soul Vocal running through it. House & Garage music will never be better then this period (1990 to 1996)

  • @redjam40 That was definitely a great time in house music. MAW, Roger S, Todd Terry, MK, Basement Boys, Charles Dockins, Mousse T, Jazz 'n Groove, the list goes on and on!

  • this just kills must of the music coming out today! talk about quality! HOTTTTT SHITT

  • It's one of my top-ten house-tracks! This is underground and a real masterpiece! I can hear it over and over and over.......... again!

Thanks a lot for sharing :-)

  • This went into one of my very first mixtapes when I started spinning, Classic!!!

  • So deeep and so fantastic!

  • The truth !

  • Great song: that old summer i worked in a good italian club and this song was one of my favourite (played it 1-2 times every night..). We need to start playing again this old vinils: still the best music! Good music never come old....Alwais shines in my heart and in my soul..

  • Whoa! Forgot about this gem. Still bangs!

  • this is real deeeeeeeeep house !!!!

  • bellissimo

  • Oh my god

  • discogs ;)

  • rip it.

  • Do you have an mp3 that you could upload for this track? Rapidshare or Megaupload maybe?

  • this IS OFF THA CHAIN!!!! First time hearing it today .. I love it!

  • This goes to show how good House and Garage music was from the years from 1986 to 1996. What a decade of tunes we had to choose from if you were into House and Garage music. Or club music if you came from the Usa! We called it House and Garage music over in England.!

    This still rocks!

  • UK Garage is just as awesome as US Garage in my opinion. I believe US Garage is more about the soul, whereas UK Garage is more about getting up and dancing your ass off all night long.

  • Uk Garage from 1997 to 2001 was awesome. I have some tracks from that period that I will not dare sell. However, the sheer variety from 1896 to 1996 within that period of House & Garage music was something else. Remember you had whole cities taking over the music. First up was Chicago, then you had New York and then came New Jersey - then came England....

But the funny thing about this was England was the 1st country to truly embrace and live the music warts and all was England.....

  • @stevensnewest1119 - This record was made in 1993, and still stands the test the test of time. I bet you people will be sampling from this style of House and Garage music then the Uk Garage version in 10 years time from today (29th Oct 2010).

Soul music is timeless music. It is one the corner block or stones of all forms of black music.

  • @redjam40 right on bro!..someone is always claiming or trying to compare shit....i mean why even bring up comparing shit, why cant people just listen, love it and appreciate it?

  • Made by Richard Payon and Doug Smith in their early days. They went onto to create the group called 95 North from Baltimore and Washington D.C area of the Usa. This song still rocks it really does! Goes to show how much quality there was with regards to House and Garage music from 1987 to 1986

  • @stevensnewest1119 Yo!!!! are you kiddin me,US Garage is about soul, love, deep vibe feeling and dancing your ass off all night till you sweat and pass the fuck out, come on man!

  • @stevensnewest1119 its not like you sit around on your ass when someone plays US house, or else you just done too much speed in your time :P

not a fan of uk garage, doesnt reach the heel of us garage house

  • @stevensnewest1119 the word garage comes from the club the paradise garage in ny. if it we'rnt 4 us therre wud b no uk pay yr dues bwoiy!

  • @redjam40 we invented the terms house and garage over in the usa, nice try though ;)

  • @redjam40 with more focus on 88 - 94 ;)

  • @redjam40 YES!!! when it was about love and soul!!

  • pure cork boy!

  • "praise the lord for tracks like this" is right! i got this record it took me about 3 years to run in to it.good stuff man!

  • I used to record mixes on cassette off B96 & 88.7 in Chicago all the time, and I have one surviving tape that I revisit all the time - just to hear this song. I've never known what it was, and I started singing it at a party to see if anyone knew what it was. Well, two minutes later, it's bumping on my friend's stereo thanks to Google & Youtube. Thank you!! This track is so fucking classic.

  • Nice one !! :)

  • I'd looked for this since I first heard it on a mixtape in '93!!! Had to buy the LP, thanks for posting!

  • good good

  • wow! I haven't heard this one in a long time. One of our first releases. We created it entirely on the Ensoniq EPS-16 plus and recorder it straight onto a DAT and sent it to Strictly to press it. Talk about a thrill hearing it played on mix shows and seeing it on DJs charts. This being our third release, it was a huge thrill. Thanks for posting...
