if you tape a wire to it you can use the other end to tattoo your self. just got done with a small one on my hand. its not permanent but it does stay for a while. very sharp burning sensation tho so use caution

I did this in the local science center. Whenever someone came up near the plasma globe, I told them they were touching 1kV and explained to them high frequency and showed them the millimeter spark. they were like.... Do you live here?

If you unplug the palsma ball from the AC outlet...

and then stick a paper clip in the AC outlet ..the results are much more intense.

Try both sides of the AC outlet....I forget wich one is the best.

The inside of the globe is filled with Helium and Neon, neon being an inert gas that allows the electricity to flow though nano filaments all around the middle of the globe. If you were to remove the orb, the gas would escape and the filaments would break, and all you would have would be an expensive paper weight that might shock you when you touch it.
