What does this have to do with ANYTHING??? So what about the "masonry"??? that doesn't mean the church isn't true! I'm a convert to the LDS church and I read all this stuff over 30 years ago when I was first investigating the church! I took the time to learn the TRUTH. I wish others would as well. The Mormon church has the fulness of the gospel and will bring you closwer to Jesus Christ and the Bible than any other church!

@cindybin2001 The point is that Joseph Smith join a Masonic Lodge and then nine months later he claims to have had a revelation about Temple rituals that happen to be very similar to the Masonic Rituals (if not identical). Do you not see that this is problematic? It certainly looks as though Joseph Smith has received these so-called "revelations" regarding Temple rituals not from God but from the Masons. It is TOO MUCH of a coincidence.

The evidence against Mormonism is overwheming; if you have the courage to look at the 'anti-mormon' literature you can decide for yourself. I was raised a Mormon (dad was Stake Pres);its false.

AS I'VE SAID A MILLION TIMES, I read all the anti-Mormon stuff over 30 years ago!! I am a convert to the church and it was all I could find back then! And in Christian book stores, of all places! I couldn't believe it! I KNEW that Mormons were Christian and yet the Christian book stores had all this anti-Mormon stuff in them!!

Hmmm. I don't think the Knights Templar (and consequently Jaques de Molay) have anything to do with the Freemasons. Freemasonry came into existence much, much later. They may tell you otherwise, but then again they've made up all their "background" and "history", so how can you trust that their alleged connection with the Knights Templar is true. Modern Islamist angst at the west only claims anger over the crusades, they didn't seem to care about it until the 1900's (well, until Israel became a nation). Those who went on the crusades paid their own way (until the 3rd Crusade), at extreme expense to themselves. I would like to make a minor defense of the crusades... The Muslim armies had invaded Spain and even France, had massacred Christians going to Jerusalem on pilgrimages, and were severe tyrants over non-muslim peoples. After a couple hundred years of this, the Pope called for a crusade. Warfare of that time said that a besieged city that didn't surrender could expect its people to be massacred (Muslims did this to many cities as well).
