  • I bought the 160 AMP HD version for my Excursion. It lasted 5k miles before it died. I have 4 batteries, all LED and HID lighting which draws much less current than factory, and a 54watt solar panel keeping the batteries charged all the time. I just wanted something that didn't drop voltage to 12.5VDC when the A/C is cranked, at idle. When it worked it worked great 13.5VDC all the time. I just don't want to get stranded somewhere. It may drop voltage but my Motorcraft has never failed me.

  • Are you aware of any installations on the pre-Powerstroke 7.3 Navistar/International IDI? Would it be straightforward to upgrade to a 250 Amp on my older Ford? You can see my truck and plenty of engine shots on my channel. Great informative video here. Thanks!

  • small case is 150 amp

  • Nice. Looks like a very high quality unit. I will consider yours next time I need an alternator.
