  • Eric looks like a Young Howard Stern without a suit and his hair down

  • Sorry but the talent in TNA is much better than WWE, because Vince and his writers have too many gimmicks and waste their talent. Plus the WrestleManias are too short and overpriced, Kurt Angle is the greatest.

  • You mention a Steamboat compilation, and what was JUST released? lol

  • Randy Orton has the total package but he has always been booked in a shitty way. He's gotta be the biggest star of this era, NOT CENA OR BATISTA. I mean come on! Isn't it about time WWE goes back to old school. For once, can the face of the WWE be someone who is a great worker/wrestler, has the body, charisma, wears tights, and has mic skills? Orton embodies all that and is good looking too. Just listen to the pops he gets. The fans want to cheer for him if only WWE uses him properly.

  • doing the two finishers first was horrible, thats the best move they have (rko/pedegree) and they used their best moves in under two minutes, how do you build through that?

  • I'm glad I didn't pat for that

  • You guys are right, Wrestlemania sucked, I hated the Kid Rock part, no one cheered him.

  • The people who needed to go to the bathroom cheered for him

And they had enough time to do that and get a cup of coffee

  • 1:28

    Wrestlemania 25 = 24th Anniversary (musical instruments)= Botchmania 25 = Energizer Bunny

  • its a good thing i skipped to whatever parts of wrestlemania i could watch. matter of fact, heres the new pay per view name this year: botchmania 25! post botchmania raw main event was better than the whole damn pay per view!

  • Steamboat was always my favorite wrestler. I thought his back was shot until i saw him at WM lol

  • I still can't believe Rourke is going to star in Iron Man II!!!

  • me too, its gonna be great

  • who would've thought being a wrestler (especially on the silver screen) would save someone's failing career?

  • im glad HHH vs orton sucked ass so much cos it proves just one thing, that HHH will always be the biggest joke in the history of this business and orton is not main event material whatsofucking ever.now as for who i think who can fill the void of being the future top stars of the company,MVP is always a good answer, john morrison another guy who i think cud be great for the main event, shelton, kofi, evan bourne all guys who if marketed right can turn this company around.

  • When I readed your first sentence I didn't even try to read the rest because that is just a joke what you said.

  • amen

  • cena has lost a lot of steam, hes not as good as he once was like in 2007, the pinacle of his wrestling career, the reactions he was getting were some of the most unique and loudest in the game, now ppl are like eh whatever, thats how i feel, same thing with edge, orton, theyve all run their course.now i think its time for someone else to take over the main event spotlight, someone new,and NOT punk or hardy, someone who like bret hart back in the day,can take wrestling into a new era.

  • I've watched WWE since 1999 and I thought it was great for about 5-6 years. After wrestlemania 21 (or is it that bogus Eddie Gurrerro Storyline w/ Rey's son?) did things go down hill for me!

  • The issue I've is with the booking. Orton/HHH would have been much better if the finish was not an anti-climax. In fact, it should not have been HHH-Orton in the first place, Cena-Orton or Cena-HHH would've been better. The 2 manias Cena's finished have been memorable enough due to the main event, the crowd have stayed till the end due to him, that alone is enough indication that he needs to be at the end of the card, not in some half-arsed badly written triple threat. That's what Orton's for.

  • the problem with the ending was they almost ran out of time. you can hear the ref tell HHH to wrap it up while he is pounding Orton at the end, cutting a very shitty match short. But the match sucked bad, Cena/Edge should have been the main event from what happen to No Way Out but they wanted to put HHH in a big storyline to show how big his cock is in the WWE and give Randy "headlock" Orton and simply useless a big spot and they blew it big time.

  • ish90an, that is SUCH a good point for the reasoning behind Cena should be in the main event, the last match of the night. The whole idea in building a card is to continually put something on next that people will want to see, leading up to the ones they want to see the MOST. HHH has done this TWICE now, this year(after HBK/UT) & 18(after Rock/Hogan), and since people always react strongly to Cena, positively or negatively, there's no way his match would have had no heat, like HHH's didn't

    -E

  • As much as I love the HBK/Taker match at Mania, and As much as I agree with the vloggers on being match of the year, there's just one thing that did bugged me about the match and i'm pretty sure u guys will agree with me here. HBK needs to STOP doing the F#@KN CROSSFACE ALREADY!!! I didn't know christians paid tribute to child murderers. After watching him do the crossface, I didn't really like watching the entire match anymore. Seriously, how do they[clique] keep getting away with this crap?

  • Dude its a wrestling manuever. Why should they keep the crossface out of wrestling just b/c of Benoit "killed" his family?

  • maybe you aighta ask that question to Nancy Benoit's family first, and then you can ask me that question again.

  • Worst wrestlemania ever!!!! You can say it Taker/HBK was dull until the last 10 minutes and every thing else was crap especially the main event HHH/Orton was a fuckin snooze fest that sent people home pissed. WWE has been dead since Wrestlemania 19 and WM25 proved it. Can't wait for Orton/HHH/Mcmahon feud to continue for the rest of the year!!!

  • Well, not ever (please note WM 9 and 11), but it was pretty awful. I like CM Punk, but him winning MITB again doesn't have the same impact as last year. MVP, Shelton or Christian should've won, as all of them could've easily been pushed as new contenders. HHH/Orton.....snooze! Even Michaels/Taker was just okay. Seriously, WWE will really start losing out on their fanbase if they continue on the stagnant path. They need to eventually push new guys.

  • this mania did not suck as bad as i thought it would...

  • With all the heat Punk is getting now, WWE should, and I've been saying this ever since he debuted, turn him heel. Make him go Hardline Straight edge. Do the whole Better than you gimmick, even though MVP has that.

  • Oo I really hope he doesn't tone down his in ring style like most heels.....

  • I think this Wrestlemania will be forgotten by many fans. It was very long and stale to boot. Watching the dragon again was too awesome to true and Taker and HBK had a good ending. Overall this Wrestlemania was average at best.

  • Nice job you guys!

  • Ok, a blog. i like it, at least somebody's trying something different. lol, you guys looked just as sad as we did after WM. once again, HBK comes through. Steamboat was awesome, he "still has it." how much more does Shelton need to do on the highlight package before he gets a World title run? other than that, was this a late April fools joke? HHH/RKO was well-done considering we've seen it enough already, & yes, I agree, we will see it all of 09. the next night proved that. again, nice blog.

  • I love the blog, E. You guys need to do more of these.

  • Thanks, we just might

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • when did geddy lee from rush start hosting a wrestling blog?

  • I'm sure I'd be offended if I even knew wtf he looked like

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I watched WM in a sports pub. Didnt drink a drop of alcohol, and I was literally stumbling on the way out. I dont mind a long ppv when its so good u dont want it to end, but this was not the case!!!

  • ha! That's literally one of the funniest lines I've ever read someone leave for one of our videos, I literally laughed out loud :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • You wouldn't think Steamboat has been retired for 15 years!!!!

  • I'm so glad I didn't pay for this PPV. It was not worth $55. The only good moments were the MITB as always (except for Punk winning again), Hardy vs. Hardy was good (except for the anticlimactic ending), Steamboat was doing it big, and the HBK vs Undertaker match which I give 100 stars too.

Other than that, I give Wrestlemania 25 5 stars out of 10 and that's being generous.

  • GAH! ERIC! KEEP YOUR GLASSES OFF! >_> Kidding man. Love ya.

Anyway, WM 25 was actually my first PPV that I bought and watched home. Other PPV's I just waited for the results online or attended.

I was somewhat disappointed, because I really did want to see the unification tag match but alas we got fucked. But the rest of the show was good. All in all it was a decent 'Mania, hated the results of the two heavyweight title matches but I enjoyed the ending to Orton/HHH. One last word: Steamboat :D

  • TEST is dead? When? No autopsy needed since he will have died from effects of steroids.

Watching guys like him makes me wonder when one of those over abuser of roids will drop dead during a match.

  • Oo he died a couple of weeks ago!! The Roundtable paid tribute to him on their second most recent video!

  • just saw a video of Matt vs. Jeff.

*Jeff misses Matt on the Leg Drop* BOOM!

    Jeff - MY ASS!! T.T

  • I don't buy that Jeff Hardy's ass can be hurt that badly for a second. I figure it's taken enough pounding over the years for him to build up a tolerance ;)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • LOL I couldn't resist! Scenes like that I had to make a humerouly cruel comment!

You know that incident involving his pyro "accident?"

play the 1817 Overture! It's V for Vendetta taking on Jeff Hardy! LMAO!!

  • speaking of Hall of Fame....does anyone believe that Andrew "Test" Martin should have a posthumous (whatever you spell it)

    induction?

  • Yea i think he should

  • Absolutely not. Being dead doesn't make you better. Others had HOF-caliber careers before their deaths, like Eddie Guerrero. Test did not. Just the way it is.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Oo what about Koko B. Ware? there was complaints he was a jobber!

At least Test had SOME role as a mid carder!

BUT even I question whether having him in the HOF is a good idea anyways....

  • For the most part, you guys are right. When you listen to show again, you realize that even the commentators weren't as excited to call some of the matches. It just lacks a lot of luster, but that doesn't mean there weren't any bright spots. They could have made Wrestlemania a hell of a lot shorter without the Divas match (where the divas weren't even the centerpiece). But you gotta give the biggest pop of the night to Steamboat. For the young viewers that never saw him wrestle, it opened eyes.

  • Oh there were bright spots, for sure, but very spaced out in a dragging 4 hour show, heh. The reaction for Steamboat was amazing and it was so refreshing to hear a WWE audience appreciate something special & in their role help make it special too. But we'll go more in to detail with our proper review next week :) Thanks a lot for the good analysis

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Ok, you guys were right about there was no growth from 24 to 25, there is no doubt about that. Are you guys ok with Cena winning the title back? I mean, we've been in World title limbo for months, it seems that every month, we are going to have a world title change hands. I'm hoping that Backlash will pull us out of limbo, but for some reason, I think Orton might continue the 'limbo' by winning the TNA-themed tag team match for the WWE title.

  • I'm a fan of long title reigns, so being that we're back to square 1 w/ him(square 1 being I guess beating Jericho at Survivor Series, in this case), and he should be champion anyway, I'm glad he's champion again yes, but it really does render the whole Elimination Chamber bait & switch pretty useless and exposes it as merely a shock tactic. If he was just gonna win it back a PPV later, it probably shouldn't have happened. & yeah, Orton's pretty much a lock to win the other belt that way, heh

    -E

  • vince mcmahon drinks the wrestling roundtable's pee

  • Once again you guys are on point...The 'Taker vs Michaels match was alittle overrated as far as being the best Wrestlemania match of all time, but it still was a very ill match...Once again Shelton Benjamin puts his life on the line for Wrestlemania and still gets jerked...the main event was kinda blah, only cause it was a no Dq match so they didn't really have that extra ump! that a match like that should've had...but over all I say Wrestlemania's the only event that I pay for so I can't be mad

  • Nice review. The event really sucked. The main events in particular were a let down. The wrestlers involved seemed like they were just going through the motions. The conclusions were tired and unmemorable also.

Taker vs Shawn was a good match but it's being hugely overrated. People are saying it was the best match ever, despite a large amount of botches and very basic storytelling. It probably stole the show, but is that a big accomplishment considering?

  • Thanks. You're absolutely right that Michaels/Undertaker, despite being very good, is also being very overrated at the moment. No, they didn't have to be that great to steal the show as the rest of the card either sucked or was mostly forgettable, but I gotta disagree about the finishes to matches - I actually think there were a lot of great finishes at the show. UT/HBK, the Hardys, Cena/Edge/Big Show all had really good finishes, imo

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I just meant the finishes to the two world title matches. Cena lifting Big Show and Edge was impressive, but I don't think it was all that memorable. The entire Triple H vs Orton match just flat out sucked, and the finish was crappy too.

The Hardy match did have a cool finish, as did Undertaker vs HBK.

  • Well, I think it was pretty memorable, heh. But I agree with everything else you said :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Sad because most people think that the Undertaker/HBK match was worth the whole 55 dollars while everything else was meh at best.... WRONG!!!!!

p.s. who payed for the show between you guys?

  • OO tickets to Mania's 55 bucks???

Nowadays you think the WWE should cut their prices in half!!

  • The PPV price was $55 i'm pretty actual tickets had to be around $500 so

  • *faint*

  • you guys are great, i look forward to every show and you never let me down.Keep up the great work thanks guys!

  • Thank you very, very much!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • The thought the Undertaker/Michaels match was the best match in WWE since Undertaker/Batista at WM23.

I was also impressed with Ricky Steamboat, not bad for a 56 year old man. They gave Hogan a comeback in 2002. Bring back Steamboat!!!!

  • i have to disagree, yes steamboatt was awesome but i don't know if at his age he could handle the schedule

  • You know he is a road agent.

  • yes they botched up completly but the taker michales was the best match in the whole show.

  • did u guys get a laugh when cena posed for a picture in front of the two fans who had on the we hate cena shirts?

  • Thanks very much. We may do some more in the future. It was scary to watch, but watching it back you could see he tucked his chin pretty well

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • 2 Questions:

Has anyone noticed the heat the crowd has been giving CM Punk lately?

Maybe they should use his MITB win to tease a heel turn. The crowd was highly pissed after Punk climbed up after Christian's smart ladder spot towards the finish.

Also, when did Matt Hardy become The Butcher?!

For those that remember WCW in 1994, you know what I'm talking about...

If he becomes the Booty Man, we as wrestling fans are all screwed! :)

  • Really? As you may know I only watch PPVs usually, and I did notice heel heat for Punk winning. Has he been getting that reaction beyond/before MITB? And I'd so much rather see Matt Hady AS The Booty Man, ha

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I didn't see the show, but what you guys are saying is pretty much all I have heard about 25. But HBK Taker, best match of the night. Man, does anyone in WWE not get the concept of putting what matches when on a WM? HHH and Orton should have been third, then Taker VS. Shawn. Then the triple threat match I only say that because WWE has to put a title match last.

  • I really noticed it 2 weeks before WM on the VIP lounge on ECW. Usually in segments like that, Punk gets an overwhelming response. Not this time!

Perhaps in a way it's backlash from the fans; been there/done that/let's see someone else.

Go back to 2001, if Kurt Angle had won KOTR again, what good would it have done? Would it really have cemented his legecy?

If someone else would've won this MITB, at least it would've been a chance to let them shine.

WWE 2009 feels like WWE 2008...

  • Interesting. Thanks for the great insight, I loved the KOTR/Angle comparison, so true

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • feels like WWE 2007

  • You guys are awesome, me and my boyz did the same thing u guys did last night, you guys truely rock, my quick take :Micheals Taker was good, Cena was good, Austin was and Santino was good, and Orton HHH was brutualllllllll and yea what the hell where was that tag match!

  • Thanks very much for taking the time to share your nice words

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • good video

  • Thanks!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • yeah Christian botched the Unpret......I mean the KillSwitch. It was terrible

  • I think that was Punk who fucked it up, actually. I mean, he landed ON Christian, heh.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I though he done it on MVP.

  • and how high were your expectations for HBK vs Taker... It was an amazing match... i mean what did you expect from these guys at this stage in there careers... bad blood???

    that was 12 years ago

  • Yes, I expected just as good because frankly, if Michaels was as GREAT as everyone keeps trying to drill in my head, it should have been, heh. Alright, Michaels is good and UT still is too, but the reason I think they should have equaled their 1997 work(and they weren't too far off) was because their exchanges in the past few Royal Rumbles have been so good

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • I also said i agree with you guys the majority of the time... how can i not focus on the negative comments when in this video everything was negative bro... maybe cos i did not except anything from this wrestlemania (by sides HBK vs Taker) is the reason i enjoyed it... just cant believe you guys were so disappointed like the card before hand got you excited for somthing special

  • Everything we said was negative? Yeah, that part where we talked about how great Ricky Steamboat was was scathing. When I said UT/HBK was "really good?" Guess you just zoned out at that part. And if you watched our Road To WrestleMania show you'd know we didn't think the card was special. Frankly, I actually expected a good match out of the Hardys - strange as that may sound coming from me - and that match was garbage with an awesome finish

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • And MITB was good overall apart from the winner. How badly did fans want to see Christian or MVP win it and how badly did WWE disappoint? You could see the crowd just HATED it when Punk won from the way they reacted, and I felt the same. MVP=serious champion material, to go from such a good heel to getting this sort of face reaction shows signs of a top draw star. Shame every man and his dog minus the WWE can see it.

  • Only good things about Mania were HBK/Taker and the Steamboat/Y2J exchange. I cant believe I stayed up till 4 to watch that shit they called a main event. You know your main event sucks when you get "boring" chants in it. The ending was the biggest anti-climax since the Jericho match. Where was Legacy? Mcmahons? Why was the match ended so abruptly and why was Orton made to look this weak? This is like WM18, the main event is done first and then the crowd cant get into the remaining matches.

  • Eric, you look like john Lennon, and i mean that in the best way possible. About Wrestlemania, Jericho .vs The Nursing Home Demolition Crew was terrible, except for Steamboat actually being able to carry himself during the match. Also, HBK .vs Undertaker was phenomenal (unlike A.J Styles) and was obviously match of the night. This was a really good video too. You guys rock

  • My video teacher years ago was the last person to say I looked like Lennon, heh. Anyway, thank you very much on all the compliments. I liked the "Nursing Home Demolition Crew" ha.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Your welcome :). By the way, Do you think WWE will have a Jericho/Steamboat match at Backlash? I think it would be a good match. And the best part is, Steamboat would win without a doubt.

  • Oo your facial hair has put you in a rocking chair!

    Your Beard is wierd.....

  • ...Your stash is trash

  • I know that there may be some commenters on this thread that may have a hard time giving these guys credit, but I believe Taker and Shawn put on the best WWE match in years last night. I don't do star ratings, but it was just plain awesome.

Also, was KENTA and Davey really that good? I hope it is, because I've been waiting for Davey to have his one big match.

  • I wouldn't say best in years, personally, but certainly match of the night and easily WWE's match of the year so far. KENTA/Davey Richards was really good, yes. It certainly wasn't flawless, as KENTA botched the dreaded inverted GTS(forget the name, apparently he's only done it once before) on Richards, twice, but aside from that, it was a real exciting, hard hitting, back and forth good contest worthy of the GHC Jr. Title

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Also another point, Taker vs HBK is easily going to be the most overrated match ever.

  • Why you look different with your hair down .

  • You guys are a little too negative but you do know your stuff. Thanks for trying to focus on the positive I know its hard with a Mediocre Mania. This wrestlemania wasn't epic as they built it up to be but they gave it a shot. I think they road too much on Taker vs HBK but you have to admit the Cena entrance was cool and I hate Cena! I even liked the Taker/HBK entrance Heaven vs Hell. Keep up the good work guys

  • Shawn Michaels deserves his spot in heaven after that match. Just my opinion.

  • What for politicking his way to the top of the ladder, hes a dickhead, Oh lets all do a fucking move that killed someone.

  • So why didn't he politic himself and ask Hunter to put him over Taker, than?

  • Well tell me why he has escaped punishment using the fucking crossface????????

  • chokeholds can kill ppl yet all of us still use it!

    I kid, I kid!!

  • Because Hunter did it first, and who's going to say anything to Hunter?

  • Does it matter, hhh hasn't used as much as that fuckhead shawn michaels.

  • Oh taker is pretty big in the locker room, too.

  • I hate all the smarks who rate PPVs. Ill give Mania 25 - 6.67 stars out of 10, give me a break losers and get a fucking life.

  • Notice you've never heard us give a match a star rating :)

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • that's just about how I rate this year's WM

  • I thought Wrestlemaina was not going to be that great but i honestly thought the show was very good so therefore ive got to dissagree with you guys. The only thing i did not like was CM PUNK winning the MITB. Steamboat was amazing, Steamboat vs. HBK hopefully some day.

  • MITB was botchmania, the hardy vs hardy was garbage until the ending when ,matt hit the finisher on jeff,i thought that was pretty cool, and seeing jeff lying there in pain was awesome, cuz i fuckin hate the guy.the legends vs jericho was reallly good, much better than both main events imo,esp the bit with steamboat and jericho, you guys forgot to give credit to jericho,he really busted his ass off carrying the match, and the bit with rourke was cool as well, and taker vs hbk was def the best

  • Botchamania 25 = I think there were 25 botches....Right??

  • haha, at least!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Oo and they call themselves professional entertainers??

  • vince mcmahon diffinitely drinks his own pee

  • WM25 was shit, the worst ever.

  • HEre are my pros + cons

Pros: MITB is always good for me. Taker/HBK, I thought that was a classic. Steamboat surprised the hell out of me. Cena/Edge/Show was more than I expected. Great entrances. Hardyz...good "extreme rules match. Santino. He amkes me laugh. Beer Bash.

Cons: Mysterio/JBL, pissed me off. Kid Rock, I liek him but not needed. I was actually hyped for the tag match but no Carltio gets pre show again. Divas...nuff said. HHH/Orton...seen it. lot of botches. long

    Overall: 8/10

  • Oo how the hell you give pro to MITB??? They have Punk win AGAIN!!! And 8/10?? I'll be more convinced if it was 7/10!!

  • 0/10 more like.

  • honestly, I thought Triple HHH b Orton was funny, and Matt b Jeff was unexpecting.

but yeah, one can agree with your rate

  • Triple H is a fuckhead, and I knew matt hardy was gonna win.

  • could've fooled me! I expected a "heroic" victory by jeff! But we can all agreee WM 25 can be ranked among the least liked wrestlemanias

  • Nah, worked out months ago.

  • I know I didn't like Punk winning again even though he's one of my favorite wrestlers, but I meant the match in general. I judged mostly on the match, not the winner.

  • No one liked punk winning.

  • Awesome first ""BLOG"" Eric, I think they REALLY screwed up the Divas Battle Royal, in every single possible way. I've never witnessed anything so tedious. Well they were bound to screw it up anyway. Oh and how cool were Cena and Rey's entrances?

  • Thank you! Cena's Eminem/MTV entrance was pretty awesome. Rey? uck!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • explain to me, was Rey sporting Heath Ledger's Joker??? I mean that's by far one of the most crud looking masks I ever seen!!!

  • First of all strange seeing u guys at the house and eric not in a suit, but anyway. To me the biggest dissapointment was HHH vs Orton them hitting both finishers in the first 3 mins, and the crowd not 2 in2 it. I didnt feel as if HHH had gotten revenge, and even if RKO had won they probably would have fucked that up, but not a BAD show overall 6.8/10

    myspace/iamtherealcb

  • You guys are all crazy this could very well be the Greatest Wrestlemania of all time ! whatever you guys have your opinion i have mines

  • Exactly. I think calling this even a CONTENDER for "greatest WM of all time" is crazy, heh, but if only people disagreed as nicely as you did instead of being dicks like others do, thanks for that.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • no problem im not an idiot i know everyone has their own opinion but hey i saw it on ppv and Cena winning the belt was my favorite moment, but the hbk/undertaker match stole the show !

  • i usally agree with guys but fuck man you lot are miserable fans

how could you not of bin stoked with michaels taker??

    it exceeded my expectations

  • Do you ever watch this show? We said last time that UT/HBK was the match we were looking forward to most and had high expectations for since they have such great chemistry. You make me want to take back saying it was "really good" because people just don't listen whenever we say anything good apparently. And WE are miserable? How about the people who only hear when we say negative things and never hear positive things we say, or can't tell the difference? Fuck, man.

    -E

  • I love how people rate Shelton in MITB when he does the same spot each year!

    Top of the ladder flip!

mind you that won Jeff a world title!

shelton in MITB 1 was great it was fresh and nobody was doing that stuff now every1 can springboard on2 ladders it's all the same now!

Steamboat for MITB WM26!!! have someone that can wrestle in the match and not bounce off or bend ladders with their fat ass (Henry)!

  • It sucked

  • Benjamin steals the show EVERY YEAR but never gets the rub. the guys that does the least amount of work wins! CM Punk is SOOOOOO overrated.

    STOP HOLDING MR BENJAMIN DOWN

  • I agree. I seriously thought this was the year they had him win it.

I am now convinced this will be the year that "Mr. MiTB" cashes it in and loses. Maybe it'll get a good feud going though. I thought a Punk/Edge feud would've been great, but after Edge lost the title they just went on like nothing happened. Plus, a Punk heel turn cashing it in on Cena or Trips would be cool.

  • THANK YOU!

  • I really enjoyed HBK/Taker, and thought it lived up to the hype. Mysterio squashing JBL was just funny, hopefully setting up for a rematch...

Main event was wretchedly bad, "same old shit" in every sense of the term.

And when Kid Rock came on, I was like "Are you serious?!! Is this 1999?"

  • I wish! Cartoons and Wrestling was so much better then!

  • It's kind of cool to see you guys off the cuff like this with no script and all , would you guys ever consider doing a live show ?

  • It's been discussed as a possibility for the future if the demand is there for sure, but nothing's been seriously considered as of just yet. Thanks for the comments!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • What can I say about Wrestlemania 25?

    hmph.....

Well Undertaker v HBK was good, as was the Hardyz extreme match, Money in the bank (minus CM punk winning and the shelton benjamin botch)

The rest was poor - The orton v Triple H main event finish is the crappest iv'e seen! All I saw was Triple H kick ortons ass, which lowers orton's credibility and does nothing to advance there horrible storyline. And the triple threat match had Cena wins written all over it.

    What a poor wrestlemania.

  • Steamboat was Amazing

    The Taker/Michaels match was Awesome

The rest of the PPV was good. I would say solid 7 star PPV, but for a Wrestlemania it needs to be the very top.

  • about time, somebody giving this pay-per-view what it deserved..a fucking bashing, u guys never let me down...is it just me or Stone Cold not even making a fucking appearance was disappointing..and Punk winning WTF!!!! no point at all...

  • Thank god other people don't just blindly love Wrestlemania. I went to a bar with some friends that ordered it and paid more attention to the Braves game last night. The best parts were Undertaker fucking up, a 56 year old getting two minutes of offense, and a man winning the divas matching - proving nobody gives a shit about the girls.

  • I thought the matches were solid. It certainly was not the best WM ever. I agree that there was no change from WM24. I believe Kofi was the only new addition this year. I at least expected a McMahon heel turn in the main event.

  • I honestly don't think ya'll are giving Steamboat enough props. He was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought there were many great moments tonight and it seems to me ya'll were looking for something legendary outta everything, like you've built up in your minds that every WrestleMania has been perfect.

  • Alright, seriously, do you people just listen to two seconds at a time before opening your mouths? We said Steamboat was the best part of the show, was great, etc. etc. and we don't give him enough props? What the fuck? Seriously, what the fuck? We just did a show about best & WORST WrestleManias, how the fuck does that make it out that we somehow think every WM was perfect? What the FUCK?

  • Besides Austin's farewell, and Taker vs. HBK... WrestleMania might as well have been Crap-A-Mania...

  • Fuck off! WM25 was fucking amazing. The Taker vs. HBK match was the best match in the universe.

  • You fuck off. Go overrate that match somewhere else if you're gonna be a dick. Best match in the universe, please. That's not even the best match those two have ever had themselves!

  • WM25 is just as great as the movie "Stealth" staring Jamie Fox!!

  • A comment I heard was that if this WM were any other PPV than it would be descent, but for WM it disappointed.

  • I can't wait til you guys give your complete analysis next week. I totally agree with the surprising number of botches throughout the night. HBK/Taker was definitely the best of the night, not like their '97-98 stuff, but still very good with a great finish. That match should've been main event over the world title matches. Those matches were ok, but they had the misfortune of following HBK/Taker. That IC title match shows how devalued that belt has become in recent years. Total BS.

  • Sure did.

  • Waaaaaaah! I hate WWE! Waaaaaaaah! But I'll continue to watch it and bitch about it. Waaaaaaaah!

  • We actually don't watch much of it, but anyway, 1. whatever 2. Stern rules

  • Just giving you guys shit. I compared Wrestlemania to seeing Bob Dylan. The show wasn't the greatest, but it was a great experience and I can say I was there.

  • You went it to?

  • The best wrestling at this yrs Wrestlemania was Steamboat vs Jericho.

  • Were yall waiting for the Rourke heel turn??? I mean i cant believe they messed that up. That woulda saved that matchs premise for him to jus give Jericho a hug and piss on the fans. And it wouldve been a classic wrestlemania moment.

  • I mean the Wrestlemainia video package brought back memories like on how WWF used to kno how to build a match so by the time wrestlemania comes around. the fued or the superstars push was was at its peak. Examples Steamboat vs Savage, Michaels vs Hart, Rock vs Stone Cold (1st time), Warrior vs Hogan, Piper vs Mr. T, Taker vs Kane.

  • no crime in that XD

  • What did you and leconte bet on?

The WWE is scared of the IWC because every time we hear a rumor or see where a story is going in natural progress, the WWE goes "oh no, we can't prove them right! We have to do the unexpected thing"... which is the thing they have always don't before. If heard other places that they booed Punk for knocking down Christian for MitB. Who thought a guy 4 months into a new contract was gonna come out on top at WM???

  • sorry, it's "done before" not "don't before"

  • MVP shoulda won. He was the most over and it coulda really did alot for his character.

  • most over doesn't qualify for best booking decision. Once I heard Punk was in it, nobody else came to mind winning it. I wanted Benjamin to win it but I knew wasn't gonna do that last year. Pencil in Ken Kennedy to win WM26

  • God finally some smart people. I'm tired of the "IWC" always looking for the good in a ppv. I felt like a I wasted my money. I don't wanna be positive. It sucked. Except snuka made my laugh hysterically

  • It was really some of the most sloppy wrestling ive ever seen at a wrestlemania EVER. It seemed every match had its moments where you went he botched that is he hurt.

  • Undertaker and Michaels may have been the best match. I can't get over the IC title match. 21 seconds!?! Really?
