i met this guy he acted bad at this game and then i bet him $10.00 that he couldn't beat Jafar in 60 seconds then he took 10 dollars from me! so i'm sitting there thinking "how'd he do that?" then he comes up to me and bets ME that i can't beat jafar in 60 seconds then i did and he gave me $20.00 so sort of an aresome day.
Genie Jafar Aladdin Abu ...there we go, I saved you all a couple of levels! when i wanted to get to the end faster i would use that password ;) ...starts out on the genie level!
I loved this version of Aladdin far more than the Genesis version for several reasons. Though the Genesis version had far more fluid animation and music tracks that were more movie accurate (though "A Whole New World" sounded far better in the SNES version) the SNES version had the proper storyline. I'm not sure WHERE they thought they were going half the time with the Genesis version.
This was the first video game I ever played. I was so godly at it. I beat the whole thing in front of my sister without dying or missing anything. I loved this game so much when I was little, when I play games like Assassin's Creed or Prince of Persia. I still think of this game.
This game is so gooooood!!! I beat it like 30 times and it got better and better. There was nothing better than chilling out, playing some snes with your frieds or cousins after a meal in a rainy day. SERIOUSLY NOTHING BETTER
Mmmm when I was little I thought them image at the beggining 0:24 was donald duck's head... the ''sparky things on the ''a'' and ''d'' was his hair and the lamp his beak xD
I used to play this game years ago. Don't get wrong...I like this version (SNES) better than SEGA's. It has a Magical Quest feeling with a Mega Man X twist. (Gotta love that sound!)
Jafar apparently has two snake staffs... one that he carries above his head and an electric vibrating one shoved up his ass that occasionally drops down to shock Aladdin.
@LightStreak567 I've seen it bro, but there's no harm in not being completely faithful to it. They did kind of set us up for another boss with that cutscene and all
If they release Mickey Mania, it better be the Genesis version, because the snes one had a lot more loading screens and I think (correct me if I am wrong) they cut out a few parts of the game.
I'm elven and i just play this game to own thw boss, but i see that it runs much faster if while jafar is waving up and down realy high, you can get on the higher part and jump on him several times.
@DJCandyManMike They do a runthrough of all the levels and IMO is absolutely better than the carpet ride ending lol. Here is a video if you wanted to see...
If it's the ending I'm thinking of, I've seen it already. It's the one that says you're a super player when it tells you how many red gems you got, right? I've gotten enough to get that ending more than once, but I always wondered if you get a different one for finding every one of them.
@DJCandyManMike Its the same ending, just it says super player... other times (like when i get like 68 or 69 and repeatedly punch myself) it has that ending, but im not sure how many exactly qualify you to get that ending... It says "try to get all the red gems next time" or something like that... idr. But nope, only the carpet ride and the scene cycle through are the only 2 endings
Neat. How were you able to record off the SNES? I'd love to try to do that some time.
You can jump off those birds in the clay pot to hit Jafar too and when Snake Jafar dipd into the fire then rises his body back up you can get enough air to jump and him on the head as well as jump off those "egg" type thingys.
Good memories! I can't even remember how times I beat this game. This was definitely my fav Disney game on the SNES. I'll be honest and say that they Whole New World level actually brought a tear to my eyes
LOL omg this brings back memories... *thinks back to summer of '94 when I beat this game*.. damn the 2nd form of jafar really refreshed my memory.. I think I dust off the ole SNES for ole times sake
I have this game and beat it-great game, i honestly can't see how people would like the Genesis version better, with its crazy jumps, near useless sword combined with bad hit detection and tons of cheap hits, chaotic level design and PATHETIC final boss. Before i fight Jafar's SNES form i always quote Castlevania: Symphony of the Night: "Play times over! GRANT ME POWER!" and when jafars going into the lamp "No, this cannot be! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" (Makes burning sound)
hm, I wonder if the player knew that he/she could jump onto the snakes head when the tail was at its highest, or that he/she could jump off of those rocks Jaffar spit
This game is really great, Along with Goof Troop and Lion King. Disney actually tried with these game,s but like you said, after this they didn't try again, though the Toy Story game for N64 is actually pretty good.
that wavey effect the tail has was only used in Contra: Alien Wars, and Super Turrican 2. Mode-7 is so boring, why couldn't they use the wavey effect more often, it's way cooler.
Hey, I bought the game-boy advance version and it's exactly the same game! Except for the musics at the end ("Whole New World" and "Friend like me"), they changed them, too bad!
What made me laugh about this part was with the first Jafar, the sound effects when he is flrying is like some kind of bee! Also you would think if he was to summon evil minions, it would be something cooler than birds with pots on their head! lol! And Snake Jafar looks like he coughs up those small mars bar eggs! :D
A good game, but the Sega version was better, even the graphics strangely (the SNES version has more color and such, but the sega version was just better animated, felt more like the movie).
This is one of the first games I ever beat. The only think I didn't understand about the last battle with Jafar is those red and black things he spits out, for some reason they remind me of watermelons.
From what I've read (it's been years since I've seen either movie), is that the reason Jafar wasn't killed in the first movie was because he was very comical at times. In the sequel he's depicted as much more evil, so that's why he died there. Disney only kills the villain if they think that the villain is evil enough. When I think about, Barbossa was depicted much less evil Pirates III, so maybe that's why he wasn't killed.

As for the first. the summoned minions can also be used to hit him. and with enough luck, you probly won't even need them for when he shoots 3 bolts of lightning.
