Thank you. I had this on a compilation blues CD put together in the 90s (long lost). Great to find it again. Can't believe the beauty and power of her voice mesmerising us from over 80 years ago.
I recognized Louis already by his first two notes. Nevertheless, due to the recording devices, his sound musted have been pretty less dry than whe know it from the records. I guess, if there would be a chance to hear the original sound he had in those days, I would not recognize him. I discussed that some time agoe with Edward Tarr, and he came to the same conclusion when considering the somewhat renaissance-shaped bells of the instuments Armstong and some others played in these days.
Another fine exsample of why I LOVE OKeh records so much!!!

hehe... I tried to practise this piece with my friends for our a-level-exams graduation. But the singer didn't want to keep singing. ;)
