such a simple game can be a total success

  • BEATING DOWN KIRBY'S ON WII

  • This song is a classic ... It got ripped off and remixed more than you can count XD

I didn't know it was seriously made by a russian before today ... No wonder it sounded a bit Russian to me ._.

    Thanks for uploading this :)

  • In Soviet Russia jokes are said, but never heard.

luv tetris, one of the most epic games EVER

  • download link?

  • Tetris is a fun game.

In Soviet Russia, Tetris is still a fun game. :)

  • @F0rM0th3rRussi4 In Soviet Russia, Tetris plays you.

...wait, have I heard that one before?

  • No...Nintendo went to court with atari for the rights. But neither invented the game :)

  • @Shadowschameleon Nintendo already was given the rights to release the game on home consoles, by the Soviet government. Atari thought they had the rights to the game(Which they did but only for the arcade) which is why they sued Nintendo when Nintendo claimed that Atari was infringing on their rights to the game.

  • This song is the Remix from Brawl but the original is a Russian folk song called Korobeiniki. I study Russian culture as a hobby =D Also the game was not invented by Nintendo!!! it's all Russian!

  • @Shadowschameleon So, did nintendo buy the rights to it or something?

  • @Shadowschameleon Thought this sounds like Russian Folk..

  • sounds like an idian belly dancers music style

  • Ah, I remember when I first played Brawl and stumbled across this song.

My dad was passing by when I played and was like "Orchestral Type A? There is god".

  • @nepomusik for reals? awesome~

  • yay, i like it ^^

  • FROM RUSSIA WITH FUN!

  • is this really from brawl?

  • I..can't..stop...listening...to..it!

  • LINE PIECE!!!!!!

  • In Soviet Russia, this comment will get thumbed down.

  • @TheCastro82 In Soviet Russia, this comment thumbs you down.

  • 7 People like Type C.

  • Johannes Brahms - Hungarian Dance No.5???

  • Rejoignez nous, membre de la fédération russe des communistes !

Join us, a member of the Russian Federation Communist!

  • so nice, can't stop listening to it! :)

  • In Soviet Russia, music brawls you!

  • YOUR NOT MY FUCKING RUSSIAN MOTHER!

  • I don't like this version of the music. But it's still good.

  • in soviet russia tetris plays you

  • @scoutmachinima Erm, then it ALWAYs would. Tetris itself is a russian game. I was made in Russia, but it's simpleness and adcictivity spread through the world.

Now if The Soviet Union would NOT do that with thier nukes.....

  • From MotherRussia with fun my comerade =)

  • re:to itsdefault. and you should be able to hit the blocks to make them flip

  • Type A is the dance of the sugarplum fairy, or it shares the same tune, at any rate. B, I have no idea, but it sounds vaguely... Russian to me. Type C might be Bach.

  • Brawl Rocks!

    Tetris Rocks!

and Yoko Shimomura (The one who made the arrangement) Rocks!!

  • Really good arrangement!

    I love the Violin :)

  • isnt this music from a bat mitzvah?

    it sounds very familiar...

  • @Youeyman672

It's a Russian folk song, all the old Tetris songs are. Cause Tetris was made back in Soviet Russia.

  • @MrBowserPuffi

What do you mean by "all the old Tetris songs are" ?

C-type is from Bach for example, it's not a "popular song"...

  • @Pamqnx

    I always forget about c-type. ._.

I think of a & b-type, and just think Soviet Russia.

  • love this song i can play it on trumpet

  • @kamikrazycanadian

    KWL!!!

  • lol Tetris rocks

  • There should be a SSB lvl where you dodge teh blocks while the tetris lvl is built and completed and what not and over time it gets faster...that would be awsome

  • @Itsdefault you should also be able to hit the blocks to make them flip!

  • @Itsdefault theres a game like that on newgrounds called tetris'd

  • @Itsdefault That exists, they made a game where you can play a stickfigure and doge the blocks.

  • @PivotLives the game PivotLives is on about is called TETRIS'D!

  • @Itsdefault they were going to make the Tetris block a character but decided against it

  • @Itsdefault Sounds like IWBTG

  • Very nice arrangement! ~MikeRThaMilkMan

  • I love this theme, i was searching through the song on ssbb when i found this, AWESOME!!!

    The original also sounds excellent.

  • This is a really great re-arrangement of this.

  • SSBB :D

  • I love the tetris song I did'nt even know it was in brawl MUST UNLOCK!!!

  • tetris type a in this game is sugar plum fairy

  • You're quite right

  • which is a totally gay song.

    This song, however, owns.

Maybe "Korebeniki" (however the hell it's spelled) is Russian for "Puzzle", or something like that.

  • @twotailedavenger

Korobeiniki. It's russian for peddler. You can find more information on Wikipedia ,including a reference to the use in Tetris and the lyrics :-)

  • @blood117

Atari MY ASS. Tetris was made by a guy called Alexey Pajitnov, back in 1984 in the Soviet Union. Why don't you Google it or even use Wikipedia??

This is a well known FACT among anybody that knows anything about this game.

If anything the theme song, which is the old Russian folk song Korobeiniki should give you a clue. The original invtentor got his game copied by a couple of British guys who spread it in the west. IBM got it on their computers by 1987.

    Atari did NOT creat Tetris.

  • @McLarenMercedes wiki never is sure

  • @McLarenMercedes i dont know allot about tetris but is it possibal that atari endoursed it

  • @McLarenMercedes Korobeiniki, possibly the best Russian composer of his time? do you agree?

  • It reminds me of my long afternoons when I was young ( 10 years ago ) playing those crap black and white machines of tetris xD

  • So damn awesome....

  • sort of fits

  • lmao. Ive always been a Sega Fan, and Sonic nº1 fan. But I can see the excelent work of nintendo creating videogames. and some of them are just uber (70% for me xD)

  • I know. Nintendo pwns it. I just played sonic games cause i really loved them :)

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I honestly don't get why Nintendo put it on the Luigi's Mansion stage. The idea of a spooky haunted house doesn't conjure up the idea of Korobeiniki, in my view.

  • Yeah. It would be perfect for Battlefield or maybe Final Destination (my opinion).

  • Gota love the piano.

  • This song captures Tetris.

  • i made a etris stage with this song tetris type B is weird :P

  • I wish it were available on more than Weegee's Mansion.

  • wow... this is great

  • oo!!!can you make an mp3?plzz!!!

  • mmm c est pas mal^^

  • Incidentally, that "classical Russian song" yougosquishnow was talking about is titled Korobeiniki.

  • yes! I still have the game as shown in the picture! *starts to play again*

  • they should have chosen a better stage to put it on, or made an actual tetris level, with falling blocks, that'd rule, but be ultra hard

  • PROTIP: Make a custom stage using nothing but the falling blocks arranged in Tetriminoes, then apply this music.

  • Never would've thought of doing that XD.Sounds like it would be one heck of a crazy stage.

  • Fuck yes! Tetris rules! It never gets old, and anyone can enjoy it in any decade, century, millenium, etc.

  • I never saw this music in 'Brawl,What Stage?

  • I think it's at Luigi's Mansion.

  • Luigi's Mansion, it is unlockable.

  • tetris with a classical orshestra???

not my cup of tea ('cos i find classical boring), but this actually sounds alright.

  • well i think all retro game tunes all sound good with orcistra

  • it is classic music.. well, its from a russian folk song. Brawl made it spectacular. i love it!

  • thank god for Nintendo

  • @blood117

And WHO did Atari claim it FROM??

It wasn't Atari's game, so Nintento had as little right to it as Atari had.

  • @McLarenMercedes Well it was on Atari first, but it wasnt copyrighted, so Nintendo stole it. A lawsuit was filed Atari lost(even though they had it first). So then Atari was ordered to pull their version off the shelves, leaving the Nintendo's stolen version to fool the people into thinking Nintendo came up with tetris

  • Comment removed

  • @blood117 What happened was Alexey made the game and he gave the rights to the game to elorg. A hungarian company lost the rights to a english one so that's where the lawsuit get's many people's claim to copyright lying. Elorg gave their last order: Atari had the arcade right, Nintendo had the home console rights to tetris. Atari told Tengen(Their home console maker) to make Tetris for NES. Nintendo saw that so they sued and Atari lost

  • @blood117 And please shutup about copyright. Just listen the EPICNESS of russian music.

  • It is derived from Korobeiniki (or Korobushka as it's originally called). It's a love song.

  • i dont know if people know this.....but Yoko Shimomura composed this song.

  • yea i knew that man she realy out did herself with this one :O

  • I mean we are talking about the lady who composed the Kingdom Hearts series' music.

  • actually the tune is from a classical russian song...written before she was born so no she didn't.

  • she supervised the arrangement but did not write it.

  • sorry kinda forgot what 'composed' ment their for a bit :/ what yougo said lol

  • That's great!!!

  • FROM RUSSIA WITH FUN

  • Lol i finally got a dl for this

  • WOO!!!

  • i liked song C the best!

  • Korobeiniki!

  • So damn awesome....

  • Best known game song ever!

  • What about Super Mario bros.?

  • there's no tetris stage in brawl, TheSerpit was right, this can be alternate music in Luigi's mansion

  • ... There is no Tetris stage.

  • Wouldn't it be sick if there were though? They managed to get WarioWare in there, so they could probably find a way to make a Tetris stage.

  • Tetris isn't a Nintendo property. The song is just a bonus song like X or Cooking Navi. It's a part of their history though. (Gameboy)

  • Sonic and Snake aren't Nintendo property either. I know there is no Tetris stage, I just said it would be cool if there was.

  • Sonic and Snake are guests. A reason why thei gardering the attention they are.

  • Snake was was possibly in a nintendo game originally. But I do know is that the game he was in was on a nintendo system, not sure if it was his first appearence

  • Yes. Metal gear. Although he looked MUCH different.

  • @axman36 you can always MAKE a Tetris stage... sorta

  • I CAN'T comprehend all of these godly re imaginings!!

  • B-type is so much better.

  • Yay Russians!

  • HELL YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • lmao a tetris stage would be kickass, with everyone fighting within one or two screens and there's blocks falling down, eventually increasing speed.

  • It's been ages since I played Tetris and this remix makes me wanna play it right now! Awesome!

  • Holy shit.

and agreed with mrplow8 :/ seriously wtf

  • cool remix

wonder what stage this will play on???

  • My music ftw! I say it will be compatible with the Summit (Russia=Cold), Sky World, Hyrule Temple, and Bridge of Eldin. Any other suggestions?

  • I first heard this song on a b/w gameboy. I think that this song could play on flatzone or pictochat.

  • It plays on Luigi's Mansion. I heard it myself multiple times.

  • If it does play on Luigi's Mansion then...

    cool.

This Tetris song does fit with the theme of that stage.

  • It would be cool if they make a tetris stage where you avoid tetris blocks and see who survives until the blocks cover the stage :P

  • that stage would be the best :D

  • yeah^^

  • lol and epic song for a russian game about falling blocks..

  • Don't ever think of the concept of Tetris, it ruins it.

  • ALRIGHT! I'm definitely putting this in the Tetris stage I'm gonna make when Brawl comes out.

  • theres no reason to live anymore...all the reasons i have are here.

  • How come they could get real Tetris music for Brawl, but not for Tetris DS?

  • odd huh

  • If you make it far enough the last music in the game is the original tetris music.

  • Heard in a gameplay video. People took their sweet time getting it. Anyway, glad it's finally been posted by itself.

  • Yay! Tetris Music. ^.^

I was hoping for a Tetris stage. lol

  • holy crap...

nintendo had amazing composers remix this songs. It sounds so orchestral and amazing!

  • This remix sounds amazing!

I always loved Tetris and susprised that I never heard this before! 100/50!

  • NEWCOMER: Tetris L thing, lol if they actually did that, OMFG ill laugh my ass off!

  • I never realized tetris had this awesome of music!!!

  • Tetris is gotta be one of my favorite puzzle games of all time. This music is awesome btw.

  • This remix is AMAZING!

  • Which stage?

  • lol, Sakuria is funny guy to put this in :P

  • It's me or in the Tetris box says "From Russia with fun" instead of "love"?

  • I can't believe they actually went there...they brought back muthaf**kin' Tetris!!!

  • i'm bouncing up and down while listening :P

  • This makes me want to play Tetris... Except that the DS version doesn't have any of the good music.

  • bizarre...and cool

  • fuck me this is awesome!

    whats the stage though?

  • YES!YES!YES! I FRIGGIN LOVE TETRIS!!

IT'S LIKE A FREAKIN DREAM COME TRUE!!

although i wish it was more like a techno version, oh well

  • I love the tetris theme, but now it sounds even better! THANK YOU SAKURIA!
