It is not the common practice for the railroad to allow non-employees a "cab ride" such as this. If you did not have correct authorization from the railroad itself and only an invite from the crew, then by posting this video to the web (as you have done) you are putting that nice friendly crew's jobs in jeopardy. A unique move of this magnitude is easily traceable by the railroad to find out who was assigned to do that job that day. PROTECT FRIENDLY CREWS so we can enjoy these outings!
Whew! That is a relief then. I apologize for my rant. But what I said still stands for everyone out there! Think before you put your material online. While your stuff may be extremely interesting to your friends, who will you possibly hurt by your actions if you publish it to the web. Thanks for protecting our chances for that once in a lifetime ride!
Well while your apology is accepted you at least should have found out the facts before ranting & raving & NOT HAVE PRESUME that something not authorized had taken place
fait play US locos are huge, Ill give you that, they make our locos over here look small, lol, wish we could have some like yours

Was the 1996 offline, being towed by the 1982?
LukeBNSF 2 years ago
No it was on line the conductor was in it.

Hmm.
I would think one AC locomotive would be able to tow the other.
But, since they're both online, it's kinda like a DMU passenger set.

For sure 82 could have towed 96 but for whatever there reasons the UPRR choose to having both locos operating
myrailvideos 2 years ago
Yes the 96 was the trailer

@LukeBNSF The 1982 was the lead & 1996 was the trailer & both were on line
