  • what`s the name of the song?

  • @hannaholmquist Den heter Peklenatruhopoa. (Jo, faktiskt...)

  • @Silivr1 Okej, thanks =)

  • Australisn Shepherds are an AMERICAN breed. (The original American cowboy dog. Who cares what the idiots in sweden do!

  • @3Mudbone1 Is there anyone here that has said anything about them not being an American breed? And on what grounds can you call an entire country of people for idiots? I really don't see any reason for you being hostile and rude here, it's very immature.

  • @Silivr1 If I want any shit out of you I will squeeze your head!

  • adorable!

  • You and Loke are such a beatiful couple:) Never seen anything like it before. Wow!!!

  • Wow your aussie is so amazing! So beautiful. Keep it going!

  • when did you first get your dog?

  • @When he was nine weeks old.

  • wat a pup

  • aww, so cute :)

  • I love australian sheperds. When I grow up I am going to get one.

  • I wish I could hear the commands you're giving. I want to teach my boy to walk between my legs and weave around them but I can't think of what command to give

  • @MrAshleighoutlaw I hardly use voice commands/cues. The "command" for walking between my legs is that I put my hands behind my back like I do in the video. I don't say anything. Then he follows me until I give a release cue or we do another trick. If you're just about to teach your dog a trick, you don't really need to have the cue figured out yet. You want the dog to execute the trick well before you put it on cue. =)

  • wow...17 WEEKS?? Is there such thing as TOO early to start training a puppy tricks? Or is Loke just ridiculously smart? :P

  • @lissamiss I started training Loke as soon as i got him. =) (He was 9 weeks old then). Puppies are VERY easy to train and learn fast. I would definitely recommend someone getting a puppy to start training right away. Especially training the puppy to be relaxed in different environments, walk on different kinds of floor, ride the bus etc. As long as you keep training sessions short and are sensitive to your puppie's signals, you are building really strong bonds when training together.

  • hey i love your dog he is very handsome what what do you tell your groomer when u get his hair cut.... becasue most australian shepherd have such long hair i just dont know what to say to the groomer ...

    thanks

  • @TheSarcasticSmoothie Hehe, I've never taken Loke to the groomer and have never cut his hair. =) He's so young in this video, so the coat isn't very long yet. It's much longer in more recent videos. ;)

  • how old is he?

  • @TheJulchen1995 Loke is 2 years old now. When we filmed this he was about 17 weeks old I think.

  • He's cute! Aussies can be born with OR without tails... It depends on their breeding. I know my friend breeds them.

  • @voltxtackle If they're pure blood Australian Shepherds they're born without tails. A lot of the times when they do have tails they're mixed. If you want 1 with a tail it shouldn't be too hard to find a mixed blooded one in the states, if that's where you live. I don't know about finding a pure blooded one with a tail though. I see a lot with tails in my local humane houses. Mixed though, but hard to tell the difference really. You could try your local humane houses.

  • @SnappinIntoSlimJimz Quote from the Australian Shepherd Club of America: "Tail is straight, not to exceed four (4) inches, natural bobtail or docked." "An identifying characteristic is his natural or docked bobtail." So sure there are pure bred aussies with long tails. You just won't see it in countries that allows dockins, since they dock the tails before the puppies eyes have even opened.

  • @SnappinIntoSlimJimz I heard that you are not allowed to show an aussie in the ring in America if the tail is not docked or naturally bobbed. Any tail length is permitted when showing in Europe and many countries have banned docking.

  • @Silivr1 Im just going on what ive read and what ive seen in shelters. I really dont for a fact.

  • @Silivr1 Im just going on what ive read and seen. I really dont know for sure.

  • @SnappinIntoSlimJimz That is FALSE! I breed Australian Shepherds. PURE BRED! And they all are born with tails. I have them docked before they are three days old. They look better without tails.

  • Aussies are very intelligent. Best if they feel they have a "job" to do. Otherwise, they can get bored and destructive. I have two. They are wonderful creatures.

  • I am sure if you asked your breeder before the puppies were born not to dock the tail, it wouldn't be a problem, I plan on asking mine when I go for my aussie. :)

    Btw what is this song?

  • @VampdApple The song is called Peklenatruhopoa. ;)

  • I am sure if you asked your breeder before the puppies were born not to dock the tail, it wouldn't be a problem, I plan on asking mine when I go for my aussie. :)

    Btw what is this song?

  • @voltxtackle As far as I know all aussie breeders in America dock the tails of those puppies that are born with tails. You can always move here to Sweden, where docking is forbidden. ;) Or import. ;D

  • Normally the Aussy I see ave a very dense coat and long fur, so now I wonder if I can find one like yours... I mean, will it stay like that?

  • @679mid Loke was so young in this video (about 17-18 weeks I think) so his fur hadn't grown to its full length yet. If you watch later videos you can see how his fur has grown longer and thicker. But he's a working aussie, meaning that the breeder does not care about the exterior as much as a breeder breeding aussies for show. So Loke is overall leaner than show-aussies (where dense long coat and all that is desireable).

  • why does Loke have a tail? Australian shepherds dont have tails

  • @clarinetgirlmgb Aussies can be born with either a long tail like Loke's, half tail or a stump. In a litter of Aussie pups there are mostly a mix of these. If you're from USA or some other country that allows docking, then all Aussies seem to have no tails, since they're all cut off by human hand. Loke's sister was born with half tail and his father had no tail, for example. Naturally. Docking is forbidden in Sweden.

  • what a smart beautiful dog. He has amazing eyes and is soo tallented. He is obviously very loved :D

  • @80s70sfan Yes, he is! ^_^

  • great thanksfor posting

  • Beautiful Aussie. Terrific bond you two. Truly awesome!

  • @musicofnote1 Thank you for your comment. =)

  • I love watching Loke, hes a beautiful aussie :) Love seeing him with his tail!

  • @JessicaLusk100 His tail is very fluffy now that he's become older. =) (See newer vids)

  • My aussie is scared of the clicker noise so its alittle more difficult for me... haha

  • I adopted and Australian Shepherd/Spaniel Mix and I want to teach her tricks too! She is 8.5 weeks.

  • mschnur: Actually it depends. Some dogs are born with a natural bob and some are born with full tails. The bob tail is a genetic trait but as far as I'm aware, only in Aussies, and it's very difficult to breed for. I understand a lot of people are against the bob tails both here in US and outside, but it's owner's preference. You can always ask the breeder if you reserve a puppy not to dock if you disagree with it. :)

  • Beautiful dog, I wish the breeders kept the tails on them in the US. They try to tell you that Aussies are born naturally docked. Yeah, sure. Look at this or several other videos on Youtube and tell me that again.

  • @mschnur Some Aussies are born without tail or just half a tail. Or a complete, long tail like mine. ;) But one of his sisters has got just half a tail and was born that way. Docking is forbidden in Sweden since 1989. And I think that's really good.

  • Awesome, and very cute, hoe do you go about teatching all that, i cant get my dog to do a sit pritty, shes a 1.5 yr old Border Collie, we did just mast the figure 8 threw my legs and the leg weave, but im have alot of trouble with the sit pritty any adive?

  • A most excellent dog. Gives me hope for mine. I call him an Aussie Sheppard but I got him from our local shelter who picked him up off the streets as a stray. I fostered him and decided he was to good a dog to let go so he is #5 in my pack. He gets along with every body and is a real joy although I haven't been able to train as much as i'd like due to being laid up on crutches for three months. he is now 8 months old and about forty lbs. His name is Rocky in honor of fine dog I knew once.

  • Aaaw so pretty! My aussie is also part Dachshdund (yes, dachshund) so she has a long body so some tricks I can't do with her. :( I have a vid of almost all her tricks on my home page.. I just taught her a new one the other the day, that one where they hold a treat on their nose. I've had mine since she was first born (I have her mom, who is a dachshund) and tauhter her "look" when she was 4 weeks old. I don't use a trainer, clicker, or a book, I just figure out her style usually. Keep it up! :)

  • Just lovely to see the concentration on his face. Well done with your training I have learnt some cool things from watching this. What great imagination you have and what a lucky dog he is to have you keeping his mind busy!

  • aussies with tail are so weird ! Much more prettier without, a good thing we still cut them in Canada !

    Great video ! Good tricks

  • What a beautiful puppy! I adore his color on the markings at the coat. He has beautiful eyes too!

  • i got an australian shepherd for christmas! i tought him in this short time sit and come.he is 11 weeks old^^ i'd like to teach my dog these tricks too ^^

  • @BlacKariboo I started to train Loke immediately when I got him, so just keep up the good work. ;)

  • how did you learn how to teach her this? a book or show? Id love to teach mine too

  • @iwkapl I find a lot of inspiration here on YouTube. =) And I've also read a lot of clicker training books where you get a lot of tips on how to train your dog.

  • aw hes so cute the dog i have an australian shepherd 2 hes still learning some tricks

  • woh..he has a tail!

  • @SaltyTank07 So much prettier that way. ;)

  • thats great! (:

  • i`m so hppy to be getting this type of dog this christmas (:

  • Beautiful dog! I like that uncutted tail, I never saw aussie like this! Lovely, good job!

  • Thank you. =) Yes, it's illegal to cut dogs tails in Sweden, unless it's medically necessary.

  • i think she was talking about the grooming

  • Hahaha, ok, maybe she was. =) I hardly groom him at all, I don't need to. =)

  • my dog is trimmed down except for the tail, it looks so cool she has the same dog as you

  • He is so pretty and cute!

  • Great job with this young puppy! Well done.

What is the disk made of that you use for the pivoting? (turning)

  • Thank you. =)

The disk is simply a hard plastic lid from my lunchbox. ;)

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS??? ;-D thank you, oh and is there anything you can help me with when it comes to training a dog, cause im thinking of buying this breed of dog (female). ive never trained a dog before. so ill need all the help i can get. thanks by the way, your dog is amazing. he looks so young.

  • Well, Loke is the first dog I've trained, so you shouldn't worry too much about it being your first time. Prepare by reading plenty of books on dog training. ;) I clicker train Loke and it works really well! There are many books about clicker training! Loke has great confidence since I don't punish him when he does things "wrong". So he loves it when it's time for training. =) If you feel you're about to lose your temper with your dog, it's better to completely stop for the moment.

  • Training should always be fun! Being with you should always be fun!

For tips and tricks I really recommend kikopup here on Youtube. She's a huge source of inspiration for me.

And the song is Peklenatrühopoá by Saneyoshi Isako.

  • oh no im a very stress free guy. learned that from my mom. said stress is bad for the skin. and being an upcoming model its worked out great for me. but back to the dogs, ive read a ton on clicker training, and other types of training. watch alot of " its me or the dog" on animal planet. but watching this vid on your dog, you look so in sync with your dog that im envious. cant wait to get one, i want a girl so i can name is meekah or london, but if its a boy then Montey carlo or gear

  • i just read the "more info" on the vid, and you mention your raising the criteria, what do you mean by this, are you giving less treats for good deeds, or are you teaching him more difficult tricks? i dont mean to ram you with question after question, although i did research and watch alot of things on training a dog, but i just want to fulfill my dogs life, i dont want her to be like other peoples dogs, who are energetic all the time, i want him to be spontaneous, but still have the control

  • Yeah... Too much text, I had to send a private message to you instead. ;P

  • Aussies are among the smartest breeds. I had to put mine to sleep recently, but for 13 years about the only thing she couldn't do was talk. But she sure understood!

  • Oh wow, he is amazing and such a handsome little guy. I can't believe he is your first dog?! you are a natural trainer! I'm so impressed :-)

  • Oh, the flattering. ^_^ ¤turns red and explodes¤ Thank you. =) I've read a lot, that's all I can say, and YouTube-videos such as your own and Kikopups and so on helps inspiration very much. He's about 18-19 weeks old when we filmed this (now 21).

  • What a beautiful dog! If he has learned this so far, just think how much he is capable of. You must be experienced at training!

  • No, this is my first dog, so I'm not experienced at all. ;) He's the best! He learns so fast.

  • Det borde fan vara olagligt att vara så där söt och vara hund samtidigt!!! //JH

  • Men han är nog delvis katt. Eller räv. Eller både och, not sure. =P Han kröker rygg som en katt när han sträcker på sig i alla fall. ;)
