It is true! The impossible dream part is missing. When this song was chose to be released to cd, via best of Dr. Demento cd's, it was edited for time. At the 1:49 mark, just after he says he's on a quest, he then would say "To dream the impossible." Just listen thru the songs where you can hear a break. That phrase is also in at least one more part of the song. But still a good song from back in the day!

I have a recording of this with the line "To dream the impossible dream" not cut out of it. He used to perform once a month in a bar not too far from my house. He refused to play this song as he was getting tired of trying to explain it to the drunks.
