  • 3:10 ''HOW YA LIKE ME NOW PUNK, IM GETTIN BUSIER, IM DOUBLE PLATINUM, IM WATCHING YOU GET DIZZIER!!'' I must admit that was a good shot at Moe Dee!!

  • @fdsaks Ehh don't be a dickider, I like LL more than Canibus, but Canibus won the battle with that 2nd round KO diss, and if you even argue that you just being a straight up dickrider

  • hmmm dominoize know bout Kurtis Mantronix.. aint too many know bout that but New Yorkers... let me take ya back to pro keds! three stripe 69ners... lol

  • The diss was for its time ll will fuck up a mc up come on dog where is mc shan, kool moe dee, cannibus careers if you a cold maafucka you can hold ya own fa the industry for the streets anywhere shit black moon eating independent so aint no excuse if you the shit and ill you ill

  • This is so terrible.Rap sucks ass. (Just waiting for the hate mail)

  • L.L. never won a battle. MC Shan ate his ass up before Moe Dee did live on stage. History gets twisted because LL was a more successful artist then all his competitors. This beat is SICK AS HELL!!! However its barely a diss track, hes bragging on hisself too much wasting verses when Moe Dee was on his ass from the first verse to last on "lets Go". LL talking bout party people and what not cause he couldnt battle and was writing his rhymes then. He didnt even write his rhymes against cannibis

  • All you people who got the nerve to say LL beat Canibus in battle listen to Canibus ''Rip The Jacker'' and then tell me LL won!! All you people crazy enough to say LL beat Kool Moe Dee in battle listen to Kool Moe Dee ''Death Blow'' and ''Let's Go'' and then tell me LL won!!

  • @TonyGonzo1988 Thanks for the heads up.. did not give Kool Moe his props but after hearing Let's Go..wow.

  • @superbm77 no problem. I didn't mean to be rude or bitter. People are entitled to their opinions. So if someone thinks LL won the battle, that's their opinion.

  • @TonyGonzo1988 Tony, just asking a question here: If LL didn't destroy Kool Moe Dee, then why did Kool Moe Dee admit it on beef 2? He stated that the only rapper he ever beat in a battle was Busy B. As far as Cannibus goes..............LL destroyed him along with MC Hammer, and Ice-T in one shot. And again where are they now?

  • @Batman6469 It doesn't matter how successful they are financially or longevity. I watched Beef 2 never did Kool Moe Dee admit that LL beat him in battle. Kool moe dee crushed LL and so did Canibus. How old are you?? Have you heard all the diss tracks?? Have you heard Kool Moe Dee ''Death Blow'' and ''Let's Go?'' Have you heard Canibus ''2nd Round K.O'' and ''Rip the Jacker?'' LL has never won a lyrical battle in my opinion. Listen to the songs I named and then talk to me my friend :)

  • I think if you just think about who is still around making music and still on top, you will understand who was better between LL, Moe Dee and Canibus. Either that or understand who sold the most copies. Or, you can find out who played on the radio the most. Or you can even listen to the lyrics. Finally, just listen the them one after another - the way the lyrics just make sense. No doubt LL rocked everyones bells.

  • dam have you heard this! ll's the absolute best, I wonder how kool shmo dee would have reacted listening to this for the first time, he would have either been on his feet dancin or on the floor cryin!!!

  • kool moe dee killed him

  • canibus better den the old LL?? nigga please !!! LL ended dis nigga

  • @MelvinWitD lol ll killled him then finally canibus came back into the scene and eminem killed him again

  • THE JAM!!!

  • THIS STILL ROCKS!

  • ll cool j was the one who made me put 45hundred dollers worth of stero equipment in my car his music hit hard

  • My 2nd favorite LL joint of all-time, next to "I Be Getting Busy". Not a fan, but he completely blows Moe Dee out like the Minnesota Vikings in ANY SUPER BOWL

  • I remember the 1st time I heard this on KISS fm. I pressed 'record' on my radio cuz the beginning sounds like Fresh Is The Word by Mantronix. I heard this instead. Whoa! I ran outside with my BOX (box, lol) and played the hell outta my TAPE (remember those?) for the whole block! The drop ("How ya like me now....etc.") was the best thing since British Walkers (New Yorkers get that reference). My fave LL joint to this day. But Im not a fan though, lol.

  • WHEN COOL J WAS THE BEST AT THE TIME *

  • THE GANGSTA BOOGIE THE EARTHQUAKE SOUND

THEY AINT LIKE THIS THEY DONT HIT , THEY MISS

  • proving a point that im a serious joint , you can roll me up and puff me

  • @westside159 ...serious joint! Wow!

  • LL.......did not even come close to close to ending Kool Moe Dee's career.....

  • @ProperStuff jokes

  • @ProperStuff

Correct..... Moe Dee's marginal talent ended his career.

  • THIRTY DISLIKE .... REALLY?

  • I RESPECT BOTH MC'S .... THIS TRAX IS NASTY ... BUT SO WAS HOW YA LIKE ME NOW ....

  • This song is the beginning of the end of moe dees career..And whats even more impressive is the fact that he crushed the legendary Kool moe dee with a B-side to one of LL's worse songs, "goin back to cali"..Im a kool moe dee fan, but LL spanked his ass on this one.

  • I remember buying this us import from Groove records in soho had a track on the flip side called going back to cali memories are coming back :)

  • at the battle of the kool moe dee concert , which took place. at, a kool moe dee concert.

  • Bottom line they are both Legends in Hiphop ya heard. They had the balls to battle each other on wax. Something these so called hot rappers of today would never do. This was a battle of changing eras in Hiphop. L was the young lion and Moe being the Older rap vet. I would give the edge to LL simply because he finished the battle. He left no stone unturned.

  • In this Battle I would say Moe Dee is like Biggie & LL is Like Pac, meaning Moe Dee Was hands down a more lyrical Rapper!!! that last verse on Death Blow is Career Ending!!! But on the other hand LL Is no Slouch!!!!! & Does a Better Job of making you Feel it in Your Chest!!!!! Feel Me!

  • @BearArmRecords with all do respect listen to all the tracks by both son.

  • This beat is still hot.....classic song!!

  • dablizzizback is right. LL had Def Jam backing him at that time. Def Jam also had powerhouse groups like Run DMC and Beastie Boys, both of which were killing back then. So obviously people were not only pulling for Moe since he was old school, but more people were pulling for LL because of his new rawness and power. It was a classic battle and they both go down as the GOAT because either one of them would destroy any new rappers these days.

  • what makes this song so large is that LL was battling for the king of NEWYORK title against kool moe dee who was already a legend for crushing busy bee but kool moe didnt stand a chance cuz his delivery was old school and LL was young cocky and polished but most of us didnt know about this battle cuz this was before mass media LL ripped this shit stil go hard

  • ll cool j one of the goats...

  • i can jumpn this arguement. i'm 36 and i remember the beef between these two lyrical warriors.kool moe was raw but so was L.BUT THEN U GOTTA LOOK AT WHO L HAD BACKIN HIM UP AT THAT TIME. MOE DEE IS STILL A LEGEND AND TO ME HE BEAT LL.BUT MOST WILL SAY HE DID'NT. BUT I AM A LL FAN AS WELL. MAN I JUS LOVE HIP-HOP AND AS MUCH AS I WISH THIS ERA WOULD COME BACK IT'S GONE. ONLY A FEW KEEP THE MEANING OF REAL HIP-HOP MUSIC ALIVE. HALF THESE CLOWNS DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE LYRICAL.

  • @dablizzizback listen you may be right that koll moe dee won but you cant change the fact that LL got him on his delivery and his dj just like kool moe won on his delivery against busy bee and if that wasnt enough he took it to another level with till the break a dawn

  • he chopped kool moes head off

  • This was when cool j was the shit.... nobody could fuck with him. too bad he doesn't rap like this anymore

  • um too young to jump in this argument so i will just like the video

  • L has the illest voice of all time and he flipped like 20 different styles in this shit!! Mo dees' shit couldn't hold a light to LLs' you know whats!! Mo dee didn't even have a freakin Dj for crying out loud! In this era of Hip Hop you had to have a Dj! Nigga was wack!

  • For the sake of pure rap (culture and all)... This may the best rap song ever. Take into account the track, the rhymes, the diss. It has it all. In an MMA battle, this song would murder anything today. Hip hop may not be totally dead... but it's coughing up blood.

  • Though this song is tight, it's relatively weak compared to Kool Moe Dee's tracks. Moe Dee's track had that lyrical fire.

  • You definitely have a point, kool moe with lyrics over LL's 'popularity'...(he was more 'known').....but i would have to say that the real tipping point for LL was STYLE...

  • Kool Moe Dee won the lyrical side of the battle & LL cool J won the popularity contest.

  • @Biggiedafirst

    Your right!

  • for anybody who is DUMB enough to think that L.L wasn;t lyrical doesn't no shit about Hip-Hop ! they need to listen "Why Do You Think They Call It Dope" "Murdergram" "Droppin Em" 1 900 LL Cool J" "I Be Getting Busy" "Eat Em Up L Chill"..TRUE DEFINITION OF LL SHOWING WHY HE ALWAYS WON A BATTLE !

  • LL kicked cool moe dee's ass with this track LOL!!!

  • No way is LL more lyrical than Kool Moe Dee. There's a reason why LL would never see him in a battle.

  • @garvoee Do you smoke crack? LL was the dopest battle MC to ever touch a mic. He shut down Ice T Kool Moe Dee and Icantbus.

  • @fdsaks u can't even find a good 3 punchlines in this song. he's rapping about himself lol u're crazy, NOTHING LL spit in this battle is touching let's go or deathblow. NOTHING

  • @fdsaks boy u going to hell for that lie. canibus.

  • @fdsaks dude, kool moe dee would smash LL easy, listen to " I go to work " by kool moe , LL was never on that level

  • Comment removed

  • @fdsaks Canibus was better than this nigga. Dont get me wrong LL's a legend but he cant fuck with Bus.

  • @fdsaks But never Run & DMC....why? Because they are all just as good.

  • @fdsaks I agree he had better careers, but kool me dees and cannibus songs more lethal. Cannibus 2nd round knockout is a murder.

  • @fdsaks He definitely didn't shut down Canibus. LL only had a bigger fanbase, Lyrically Canibus killed LL

  • @BlakePlaya hell no, LL destroyed him.

  • @PorkyG73 Lol no he didn't. You're just saying that cause you know LL more than you know Canibus. 90% of LLs fans wear heels

  • @garvoee Do you smoke crack? LL was the dopest battle MC to ever touch a mic. He shut down Ice T Kool Moe Dee and Icantbus......

  • Thumbs up if LL should make a 3rd jack ripper to teach these whack ass rappers out today how to flow

  • @garvoee That's like saying that women got Big Daddy Kane where he is just because he had a huge fan base with the ladies! But we all know that the fellas are his fan base too when it comes to his Raw hardcore style just like LL's Rock The Bells & Mama Said style is for the dudes. They both had that versatility side to them to please both sides. If LL & BDK didn't appeal to women on a large scale then they would be looked at in the same kind of category that Rakim & Kool G. Rap are in.

  • do that dance the prince rap is gonna throw down

  • YEp, DJ pOO'S TRAX RIGHT THERE!

  • "...When i'm rockin tha mic, people stop and stare at.............." the start and end were abrupt...unique,,,love that old school

  • yeah cannibus destroyed his own career ll just buried it. and he killed kmd. mama said knock you out. jack the ripper. im bad. break of dawn. if someone wrote songs like those about me personally id be wanting to settle it in the streets lol. ll was strong arming him forreal. what industry commercial cat you know battling mcs left and right and still being relevant.. idk one maybe pac but rip on that note.

  • This beat is fly as phuck, but KMD is too much of a lyrical badass to lose to LL all that shouting, screaming, and yelling LL does not to mention his PR team cannot give him a win in a true battle with KMD. How many verses can you quote from LL, than listen to KMD? KMD LEAVES A STAIN ON YOUR BRAIN, LL leaves you with ear ache from all that yelling over hooks.

  • @Szczotkov actualy kmd defeated ll cool j

  • This is like a looong, painful, asswhoopin. Classic stuff. The beat is still sick.

  • @Tenatu lollllll

  • @Szczotkov uhh no LL murderd canibus and his carrer.end of story

  • @slick1hit the industry killed canibus not ll do you listen to lyrics

  • @qbezee no LL did, cause when canibus came out he was on wyclefs gone to november remix, and that song had a nice buzz, and pll was checkin for him so the industry didnt do shit, and yea i listen to lyrics and i kno that LL destroyed his career,i dont care how nice you are you cant go against some one who help shaped this hip hop shit, and who had a cult following since 84,and who is still relevant today

  • @slick1hit we both are right about this situation, lyrically canibus ate him but I feel like when LL switch canibus original verse then responded with a diss of his own, that was some bitch jay z shit but ll still my man though, that was just some sucka shit he did.

  • @Szczotkov Cannibus destroyed no one. He really played himself going after KRS

  • This is a Cool J Murder Show!!!!!!!

  • Sorry Kool Moe.....you were the more conscious rapper hands down....had more knowledge of self....more vocabulary.....BUT.....LL made me feel like he was REALLY whoopin yo ass on this track...

I mean the word play alone (ie: "people don't know how nice I am/He was sleepin....so now I gotta slice my man/Like a ham in a pan...rap em up in saran/Kid-nap em and slap em up inside of a van......)

The energy of the track is thuggin.....the WHOLE SONG was dissin Kool Moe right down to Bob Cats scratch

  • Both LL and Moe D were killing the scene and I must say, I enjoyed both .

  • LL was too young and too fresh for KMD at this time. Anyone who doubts just needs to check Jinglin Baby.

  • This beat is weak. LL raps at about one eighth the speed of Moe Dee. Moe Dee is is the KING! 80 times faster than LL's slow ass. Just cause LL was more popular don't make him better. If selling the most records makes you more talented, Justin Bieber must be the most talented mother fucker on the planet, and the Biggest Loser must be the best TV show ever. Selling out doesn't make a person talented. LL had a better PR machine, that's all.

  • @gptvproductions Moe Dee had more of a vocab than LL.. For some reason Moe Dee fell off the planet after 1993 or so.

  • @gptvproductions This beat is weak? You talk shit mate. Just cos LL isn't rapping fast doesn't make it a hard tune. Your idolisation of Moe Dee obscures your vision & obviously makes you unable to appreciate anything LL produced. For the record, this is one of only 4 LL tunes I like, the others being Murdergram, Mama said..., & Rock the bells. The rest are pretty ordinary in my opinion.

  • @unclepops74 I do like a lot of LL's stuff. I dig "I'm the type of guy" It's obnoxious but still a great song. I just think as far as the Moe Dee battle went Moe Dee was better.

  • @gptvproductions Mane you're outta yo mine! So I guess KMD is better than Rakim too because the R has a notoriously slow flow also???

  • @nashobahelit, you are dead on... Kool moe d killed LL, lyrically but 4whtevr reason ppl liked this BS... I'm sittn here listening to it now and I'm sorry it's still terrible to me with a terrible track... don't get me wrong, because LL is one of the best that's done it; I'm jus sayin, het got fckd up by Kool moe D and lil canibis, but he came back strong against canibis..the jack the ripper is some BS str8t up!!!!

  • @Loggdblx Terrible track??? Ever since KMD started going at L that's all Dee ever had was weak ass production from Teddy Riley!!! TR was dope ass hell on the R&B/New Jack Swing tip but as far as HipHop tracks go at the time he was Wickidy Wack.

  • @musiqgem just rethink that comment

  • @musiqgem Yeah terrible track..lol r u endorsiing that whack ass track? LOL and as far as Teddy, shit at the time, he was the hottest thing out there... he did some shit for Heavy D and big daddy kane..heavy d shit was jammn n the clubs and on campuses, but i think he helped kill big daddy kanes career..idk...all i do know is this track for ll is terrible..lol

  • @Loggdblx Ain't that the truth! I Get The Job Done was the start of the beginning of the end for Kane. He messed up when he decided to leave Marley Marl's production for a more crossover appeal & he took that R&B/Pimp style for the ladies shit way too far. If you noticed that with the exception of G. Rap & Masta Ace, anyone around that era that stopped messing with Marley & tried to go another route fell off.

  • i'ma just say this..i was always, to myself, thinking LL was killing Kool MOE..not until i got older, it was understood that it was actually KOOL MOE doing the slaying, PLUS he had one of THE ILLEST ALL TIME ALBUM COVERS (The White Jeep Wrangler parked on top of a KANGOL..classic)..true, LL has had a damn good career, no disrespect...put it in terms of underground versus main...Kool killed him underground...LL killed commercially....either way, i love hip hop

  • @mike951951 i loved those days! i took it all for granted. :-(

  • The disses on "Let's Go" are insurmountable and the damage irrepairable.

'Mama Said Knock You Out' is a hall of fame album but lets be honest. Battle for battle, Kool Moe Dee won.

If you want to talk about careers thats another topic but in terms of straight up battles, LL has never and will never recover from the beating he suffered at the hands of Kool Moe the Destroyer.

  • @TheLAKERSareGodsTeam rofl, lol, Ll sent moe dee haymakers on jingling baby, dented him and clowned him on to the break dawn, answer the lyricall challange will eat em up l....and oh yeah sent Moe Dee a murdergram. The only thing Moe dee did underestimate LL's resolve he didn't think L could come back. But hed did with mama said album. In the end the only thing Moe dee destroyed was his own career, he made himself a stepping stone for LL to take it to another level

  • @omeganaphtali lol sorry my friend, have to disagree. Moe Dee kill him!!!

  • @TheLAKERSareGodsTeam ummmm NOPE!

  • Listen to Kool Moe Dee's Death Blow. LL get destroyed! LL may still be around but KMD has better skills.

  • @nashobahelit Death blow was garbage man, mama said album ended moe dee, anyone who listened to hip hop at that time knows that, stop making excuses 20 years latter L sent Moe Dee the murdergram

  • @nashobahelit ummm NOPE!

  • @nashobahelit Please....Moe Dee is nowhere near the lyrical prowess of Cool J!!!!

  • "....for those who appreciate real rap songs...."

  • it aint strong enough Punk, It aint Hitting

  • KMD>LL

  • MR STAR TREK SHADES didn't even had a chance against this Deceptacon Diss....No way in Hell did Kool Mo Dee regained status after this joint, his career was destroyed...

  • @bigflair001 Kool Moe Dee can rap rings around LL any day

  • LL is Waaay better than Moe Dee....No comparison

  • @Retrosigns1 No way. Kool Moe Dee is the best. The fastest most furious rapper ever. LL only won the battle because he had a better PR guy.

  • @Retrosigns1 Obviously I assume you're being comedic, why don't you ask Mo Dee who he himself rated LL #5 greatest of all time.. Look up Mo Dee's Top 50 best of all time then get back to me...You must be Bugin...You better be a veteran cause you are messing with the wrong Kat?.... Like Nas would say,Forrrrreeeellllaaa.

  • AKA James Todd!

  • Kool Moe Dees better

  • Valiant effort, but Cool J < Moe Dee!!!

  • @10abx2 I wasn't slamming Kool Moe Dee, I'm really curious. I haven't seen or heard him in years.

  • One of LL Cool J's best!

  • This is not the original mixdown of this song.

  • jack the ripper king hercules professor of death in the seven seas!!

what the fu$#. kool moe dee shan cannibus need i say more. don't fu^^& with LL.

a strong record a record for the strong for those who appreciate real rap songs!!!

    wooooo hoooooo!

    a true masterpiece

  • this song to me has one of the baddest groove.

  • Battle rap at its finest

  • This kicked ass when I first heard it... blew KMD out of the block

  • A lot of you guys saying KMD killed him don't get the point... KMD did a couple of WHOLE SONGS about LL, when LL responded he made a song with one or two lines about KMD. In other words, He was telling the fans, "hey, i'm a lot more important to that punk than he is to me." KMD was like a yelpy chihuaua, LL like a Pit. 20 years later we see that.

  • That bass is deep

  • DO NOT SLEEP ON MR. SMITH. When he want to spit that shit he will. Get wit all rappers now and then. LL Cool J

  • 26 people better not ask him if the show is on.

  • From this rocerd ; you can see where female rappers like Antionette got there biting ass style from.Just like Salt-N-Pepa wanted to be "female" RUN-DMC'S. LMAO

  • Def Jam did a disservice by putting this version out. it has NO mixdown!! for those who remember when LL dropped this--the breakdowns, the dropping of the music, the way the engineer went in and out with the music when L said "A-K-A-JAMES TODD!!"--the mixdown made the track that much harder. still, nuff respect to classicrapbattles for posting this.

  • @mcultra YEAH LIKE WHEN HE SAY" WHEN U WANNA MAKE HITS YA MAKE LIKE THIS, THEY AINT LIKE THIS THEY DONT HIT THEY MISS..." THERE WAS A TIGHT BREAK DOWN AND SCRATCH ON THAT PART. I FEEL U. BEAUTIFUL EAR. HIP HOP.

  • omg! jack the ripper. Brings a tear to my eyes!!! Was 8 yrs old when this sons came out

  • @TheRazorx89 lol pickles

  • To me, "Jack the Ripper" had a better flow than "Let's Go", but "Let's Go" was more of a diss. This was more boasting.

Then again, LL's the king of boasting, so this is one of his better tracks. Thanks for posting.

  • @FDR1945 LET'S GO SOUND WAY BETTER THEN JACK THE RIPPER ONLY REASON AT THE TIME LL HAD MORE FAME KMD BUT WE ALL KNOW KMD KILLED LL

  • @elt01606 Until ll sent moe dee a murdergram

  • @elt01606 Ummmmmmm...no, we all DON'T know that...LL murked 'em with JTR...everything AFTER that record was just sourgrapes and overkill...

  • WAAAAAAACK

  • battle anybody

  • "Milky!!!"... wat?

  • how u like me now was hot. jacc tha ripper went hard. then death blow was a death blow. both kool moe dee and ll went so hard at each other

  • yeaaaaah that is never chump!

  • "Prince of the Growl, is on the prowl, HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW, PUNK? You livin FOUL..." TOO ILL!!!!!

  • who was the dj?was that cut creater fuckin it up?

  • @eleesmith No. Thats "Bobcat" Ervin on the cut, and he produced the track...

  • @daboss88100 appreciate the response

  • @eleesmith Nothin to it, bruh... I loved LL and Kool Moe Dee!! Those catz were lyricists and they went HAM... Rappers today are no where NEAR where those guys took the game... You HAD to be nice on the mic to even GET ON the mic back in the 80's. ANYONE can get a rap deal now, it seems...smh

  • @daboss88100 that's wrong is rick rubin in da production

  • @josecahouse You are correct. I stand corrected. Rick Rubin produced "Jack The Ripper", but "Bobcat" Ervin did the cuts and scratches. (FYI: "Bobcat" Ervin DID have production credits on that single, although Rick Rubin was the Executive Producer). Thanks for setting me str8, homie!!

  • @daboss88100 jaja thats ok, no problem boy!

  • rofl haha bahaha

  • this might be a bad recording or it might be just bad; but "diss" is not good.

    like in not enjoyable.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!1

  • BOB IS ROCCIN THE CUT SON

  • this was a ruff one thats the best beef nobody got killed i loved both cats!!!!!

  • 23 people needs Bobcat to show them what real hip hop is boy!!!!!!

  • Kool Moe Dee - Let's Go......FTW.

  • he did dat!

  • He buried Kool Moe Dee with this one

  • the pic of him here makes him look like his mother was probably a baked bean

  • ll at his best

  • o yeh both these guys influenced me. they were on point.

  • Sick track!!!

  • Very clever of kool moe dee to park his white jeep over that red kangol. That and some other shit spark a great battle track. LL even got in the ass of ice t, mc hammer, and kool moe dee , on till' the break of dawn. LL cool j is and was a force to be reckon with. Clearly he ate that ass up on jack the ripper.

  • my fav LL record ever he went hard on Moe Dee this song is dope

  • Fuck LL...Moe Dee all the way.

  • @bobstevefrank123 Cuz you can't be serious.COOL J smashed Moe Dees' wack ass!

  • This was produced by his cousin/west coast dj bobcat.

  • LL & Dee are both Great

this diss and the one from Kool Moe Doo are awesome
