Fleury in my opinion would have been what the Flames needed and at just the right time and I think 4 goals in 4 games showed that but the reason for not taking him, his age and conditioning.  Well his age I don't think was a factor, his conditioning would have improved as the season progressed. He would have added fire and energy they are missing, he would have motivated Iginla and mad Calgary a playoff threat for a couple years. But they don't take him and see how they're doing. THEY SUCK!

maybe you don't watch much hockey but the key to shootouts is to throw the goalie off. one way to do that is to change speeds. you don't just skate full speed into the net, you aren't being chased by any defenders you have all the time in the world.

Glad he did what he did none-the-less, and glad the Flames at least gave him that chance. I became a Ranger fan around the time Theo came to the Rangers. I was 10 and I remember just thinking he was such a jerk.
