  • Did you know u have to have naturally more flexible ligaments to become a contortionist? There is an at home test u can take to see if ur body will allow contortion. It would take someone who failed about 4 times as long and 4 times as much work to become a contortionist. I passed... But I also did gymnastics for 9 years haha

  • @YunavsYuri the test is fake....there are people who can dislocate shoulders but they cant bend 180 degree backwards! even with genetic talent you have to train....çause in future...the ligaments can be softer...and softer...it can bring many pains....tht's why you have to keep them strong! and there are many contortionist who have no genetic....but they developed their flexibility training A LOT

  • Wonder how old these girls are? Have always wanted to see Cirque but never have :(

  • at first i was like "wth why r u there two of them???? this is NOT alegria" then i saw the "OLD" in big capital letters. let's just say i dont feel like Eisenstein today

  • @sweetpeach3255

Yeah, Alegria's contortion act has two girls in it. On the DVD, you only see Ulziibayar Chimed because prior to its filming, Nomin Tseveendorj left due to an injury (from what I read online).

The contortion act is now a duo act once again. And this time, it is performed by two women, since Alegria can't hire children anymore because it's been converted into an arena show.

  • I was told people are born with contortionist's backs. It's not really something you can get from just practicing a bunch.

I have extremely flexible limbs and a contortionist's back but I haven't done anything to train my flexibility. As far as I know, it's just something I've always had.

It is possible to get obtain flexibility through stretching and training, but as far as I've heard, it's hard to get even close to becoming a contortionist.

  • @Sachiye11 Thats not true. Any person can do contortion (if their body is healthy of course). Im practicing contortion and I was born with a normal back and I've become very flexible. Its just a lot of practice, and these performers in this video probibly had to practice for a long time too.

  • Me and a teammate did one of these moves for a duet at a dance competition we were in, we looked good but not as good as these girls I might need to rethink about trying to join the cirque du soleil!!!:)XD

  • 1:52... HER TUMMY!! these people are amazing

  • OMG, do they not feal pain?

  • for some reason, they remind me of frogs lol

  • this contortion act...it looks so wrong but so right at the same time...how is that possible?

  • How do you stretch for contortion/hand stands? I don't want to do anything SERIOUS. Just want to learn a few "tricks" to show my friends. They are all gymnasts and I'm just a basketball player so I thought I'd surprise them this summer with a few hand stands. :)

  • would a fat person be able to contort their body? NO! i didnt think so!

... these athletes train hard and work hard... they eat proper, just cause they are skinny doesnt mean they are anorexic!

    COMMON SENCE PEOPLE!

  • @florah3 actually it doesnt matter how much you weigh, a bigger person can still become this flexible. I go to circus school and there is people of all body types who can do this so please get your facts straight

  • Wow i'd hate to play twister with them

  • @idgacgirl me to!!!

  • @idgacgirl lol

  • I know Ulziibayar now performs for CDS Zumanity, but I always wonder... why did Tseevendolj Nomin leave CDS?....

  • @TheMysticalnymph

From a rumor I heard, Tseevendolj Nomin developed back pains and left the show. After all, she is the one on the bottom and had to support Ulziibayar's weight as well as her own.

  • @alladinmoua Wow.... That's really sad... I do hope she is doing well now....

  • @alladinmoua I was wondering if this activity would affect their backbone at the long run

  • @63oma

I'm not a contortionist, but from all the searching I did, it depends on the person's body and how they trained while learning the art. For some people, yes it will affect their backs, but to for others, they can do contortion well past their forties.

  • giggity.

  • When was this??

  • its like they have no bones!!!

  • the ultimate twister champions

  • gtgkkjtgy

  • i wonder how they sleep.

  • @theunderdog2k12 on a bed?

  • A human shouldn't bend this way.

  • thats how i get up in the morning .casual

  • Amazing! Ulziibayar Chimed and Tseevendolj Nomin performed for the cirque since they were 10!!!!. both born in the same year and accepted at the same time!!!

  • these girls must not have an ounce of fat on them. Absolutely incredible performance!

  • MUCH RESPECT!

  • q diosas no tengo palabras me qde elada...!!!!

  • I wonder if they sometimes just walk into bars on their hands with their legs sticking forward and say "Sup?"

  • They remind me of Thing 1 and 2

..... Can you tell im stoned?

  • This is almost magical... ♥

  • to my eyes, ears, & emotion. This is beautiful. : )

  • Are these children? Their faces look really young.

  • @jenk314

and they are kinda small, but I don't think Cirque du Soleil would hire children. :o

  • @WeiblicherFreak

Actually, they do, but only for their big tent Chapiteau tours. Ulziibayar and Tseevendolj were only 9 when they joined Alegria. Also, Cirque will even allow its performers to take their families on the road with them if they absolutely need to. There is a mobile school with qualified teachers that travels with them so the kids get their education. (You don't have to be a performer to be hired by Cirque.) Because of legal reasons, only the area tours do not feature children.

  • @alladinmoua

OOPS! I meant to say "arena tours" in that last sentence.....

  • @alladinmoua

oh wow. I didn't know that. Thank. :3

  • yo ago lo mism que ellas lo ago con mi amiga porque yo boy a un escuela especial y me encellan todo eso

  • Algun dia tendre que verlo en vivo y a todo color

  • They look like aliens with those body suits

  • I wonder what happens if you're doing this in your room and your parents walked in. What would you say? xD

  • Anyone can learn to be a contortionist. But being obese would not work. Neither would starving.

  • It looked pretty awesome till i saw that! 2:02

  • @RCdude1616 Anorexic

  • @RCdude1616 It's just the pubic bone. Since they're so skinny. It sticks out more from the skin.

  • some people are just naturally skinny. it takes time to develop. it's a happy place to be in to be in one of those bodies.

  • I'd be disturbed if I saw my calf next to my head. XD

  • I cant believe the kooza contortionists get more credit for than these girls!! theyre SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!

  • This is a art ....PERFECT BODY ART .. and years of training

  • that is so amazing how people can do that, that is just a gift from god

  • that is insane

  • HOLY FRICK!!

HOW ARE THEY STILL ALIVE MAN!!!!!!

I SWARE TO GOD! When i actually see that i feel all grose and dead!

Just by watching it! omg, i like LOVEEE these people honestly. I went to one show, my mouth was droped open the whole time, it was amazing.! Cant wait till they come back to Kelowna in 2 years!

  • O. M. G. ! That's simply amazing. The artistry compensates my flinches caused by the distortion well enough. But I have a question,

Does what they do obstruct normal growth?

  • true artistry. I love Cirque du Soleil

  • O..M..G..!!!!!~they are amazing ßðø

  • Good to see the Olsen twins got other skills besides acting

  • Their ribs look like they're going to pop out ! ): But they are just AMAZING

  • Ahhhhhhh it so amazing how do they do that it just WOW

  • Those girls are older than you think - of that I am sure. And I know they have been training in China since their toddler years. Circue d' Soleil is lucky to have them. They are fabulous. Just imagine being that flexible. LOL I have trouble bending down to tie my shoes sometimes. LOL

  • @Lonestarry These girls are from Mongolia and trained in Mongolian circus, In Mongolia there are lot of amazing contortionists.

  • @arig2002us Thank you for the correction.

  • I know! They're so flipping young. It's awesome. But they're so skinny, and strong at the same time. How does that work?

  • graceful, flexible and strong there is nothing disgusting about their talent. Phenomenal act

  • wow, this is insane, i wish i could do stuff like that...

but alas, is only a dream x)

  • What I want to know is how old they are, and how much they weigh...

  • @ABalletDancer early teens, somewhere between eleven and thirteen

  • Although this is VERY impressive, it's still a little unnerving to me. It just looks so unnatural, but at the same time, I can't imagine the amount of time and work they put into this. Not to mention their strength!

  • i dont like this they look too young and to bend the back like this is sick

  • thats crazy!!! its tigh thow they can bend like that but hella creepy(:

  • Fantastic!

  • what is the name of that song??

  • @marianosensei

    Taruka

  • why is it always the asian who have the genes that make them flexible skinny and sexy :(

  • they were 14 there, weren't they?

  • The strength amazes me...to be that flexible and that strong simultaneously!!

  • @thetayleors i thought they looked really young, so i googled them and found out that they were 12 when they started in CDS.

  • You hardly ever see girls from western countries be contortionists as we do girls from Asia. Western girls haven't got the beauty, the discipline, the grace or the talent do train and perform like these girls do and others from China, Korea, Thailand, Japan and other Southeast Asian countries. Amazing talent

  • its amazing that theyre strong enough to do this. theyre both only 12!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Hedgiehooper how do you know that they're only twelve? and after i really looked at their faces it actually looks like they are but it's amazing!

  • I am actually able to do this

  • I can do that....what????

  • I can do that.....what????

  • That is soo amazing...and they are so young too!!

  • wow , so good

  • holy crap that looks painful!!! :)

  • DISGUSTING!!

  • @GraveDiggerRox1 its soo scary looking !!! >W<

  • ok i can see how some people could say that this is amazing but... i just can't get over how skinny they are.... i mean look at their hips, back, ribs, legs... anything for that matter. they look like their just skin and bone. and with all that loose muscle when their old ..... omg, i just can't see how that can be considered health.

  • @Adrenaline552 If they were fat they couldn't do the things that they do. It's not your issue to worry about, it's just beautiful art that their creating with their bodies.

  • @Adrenaline552

they probably are skinner than most people but when the stood up they looked just skilly you couldn't see there ribs and bones. their bones probably stick out like that because they are either dislocating them or its just how they bend in half that makes them pop like that.

  • 0:46 auuu...

  • thats amazing that someone could bend themselves like that!

  • That's amazingly beautiful.

  • I love it. I admit at someparts it can be a little disturbing because of how they're bent. One time, I was talking to my friend's mother and telling her about my circus classes. I told her about my idea for hiring some of the contortionists and hand balancers that worked there to be at my party since I wanted it to be circus themed. Her reply was "Oh, could you get me there number? Contortionists are such freaks!" and then she started laughing. I wanted to punch her in the nose.

  • @MissTrixie33 The nerve! sadly people tend to mock

things they don't understand. For what its worth i think

    its a very awsome idea.

  • @ember1k Why thank you, and I'm glad you agree! She doesn't know much about circus, so she shouldn't be talking. I cant wait for my next birthday!

  • @MissTrixie33 Uh...she meant "freak" sexually. You'll understand when you're older. Contortionists lead to very "freaky" experiences in the bedroom. :D

  • @MissTrixie33 OMG! Where do u take circus classes at?!

  • she could tottally eat herself out.

  • they look like mermaids! they are soooo awsome

  • 2:04 is kinna gross coz thier anorexic, but overall its looks rly cool coz thier like spiderss of some shit !

  • @HiTherePanda There not anorexic.

  • @HiTherePanda not anorexic...just slim cuz they probably have to practice this everyday since nobody can become this flexible over night..or maybe not in a year

  • i could see how this could inspire nightmares...totally wicked!

  • thats the creepiest shit ive ever seen

  • @Kevins7eleven Then go to your boring stuff and watch it! :P

  • SKELETOR!!!!!!!!

    amazing thou

  • SI ELLE N'ETAIT PAS AUSSIE MAIGRE CE SERAIT BEAUCOUP PLUS JOLIE!!!

  • this is amazing! and so beautiful!

  • amazing, so beautiful and breathtaking!!!!

  • it sounds like a german tv channel

  • @baliasuncrest27 Yes,it is-it´s the "Westdeuscher-Rundfunk" (-;

  • It's funny how they can do anything, and still be in time with the music.

  • damn they must be strong

  • I wonder what it's like to be able do those things just like that...

  • O.o! These are teen-agers! If i coud do that my mom woud freak out and become an elephant!!! (not in bad way ha!)

  • They look just like 2 baby snow leopards. Very graceful and beautiful.

  • beautiful what the human body can do, it is posssible, and they have obviously worked hard for such skill

  • Perfection. So thin and delicate, yet so powerful.

  • RED LONDON by mykonos!

  • and i thought i was cool coz i can do the splits...lol

  • They are so thin... its kinda upsetting that they have to be that thin to do this stuff... when they bend you can see their ribs... count them if you want to... But again, this is wonderful... It take so much skill and practice to be able to do even a quarter of what they are doing. Some people who practice for years cant even do this... A lot of time and devotion is put into learning this skill... (sp?)

  • @DeathAngel0208 Also... a lot of muscle strength... It's amazing how they can do this... They look so small yet are able to do that...

  • отлично!

  • wow these girls are amazing!!!!!

    no wonder they are Mongolian

    beautiful!!

  • precioso...!! :')

  • Comment removed

  • totally amazing. the control and discipline of these two young people is unbelievable. I used to be able to bend over backwards like that when I was younger. Wish I had kept up with it. Being 25 I probably would hurt my self. LOL

  • 2:05

  • they are two boys. the women at the beginning says "beide junge" which means both boys

  • ne they aren't they are both girls. the woman at the beginning says: "diese beiden jungen artistinen aus der Mongolei verstreten den Cirque du Suleil...." she don't say Junge whish means boy she say young. they are both young girls from mongolia......

  • @ShinHoney oh sorry. i misheard. :/

  • @midnightsun2288

No, she says "Diese beiden jungen Artisten" -- these two young performers (either sex).

  • It's amazing what the human body can do if properly trained for it. :)

  • Amazing. Not only are they extremely flexible, but they are extremely strong.

  • this is beyond words... absolutly beautiful.

they look so wondeful , have they no bones?!? haert wrenching art

  • More like have they no organs?? Seriously it looks pretty concave in there.

    Beautiful, though...

  • diooosss mioo

    qkomo se puuedenn

    doblar aziii

  • They Mongolians!!!

They learn this staff from 3 years old

    Maximum strain and balance.

  • hahaha

they learn from 3-4 years old just start

    too late for girl.........

  • Yeah well i guess im lucky cuz im in the advanced class

  • And it ain't like I'm training for the circus, jeez.

  • If you want to learn it, then try! Yeah, most people say you can't learn dance, gymnastics, contortion, etc. after a certain age, BUT that's not necessarily true. I'm 21 and through daily training I've managed to teach myself a lot of the Alegria Hula Hoops routine...not the hoops, but the movements. You can increase your flexibility, it just takes a longer time when your older...which is why you couldn't become a professional...but you can definitely learn it.

  • @missnikodotnet true, very very true.

  • also, im not that old, im not one of those people who start learning when they're 2, but im just 12.

  • being 12, i feel like it'll be much easier for me to lear nsome of this stuff then if i was say, 20, like some people assume with no good reason.

  • Gosh .. Their poor backs .. !

  • Nothing poor about their backs...just takes discipline and training...

  • the little one is soo much better

  • There is nothing there when they bind, there stomach is like disappearing..

  • oh,dear God..,they look like aliens!Anyway they are soo great!!!

  • they're so graceful :O

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I watched Alegría and this wasn't in it, I think this was from Dralion.

  • its Alegria

  • Really? Can you please tell me after what act this one came? Because I really can't remember this act being in it.

  • i cant remember after what act, but i am 100, 100% sure its alegria...

its definately not dralion because dralion doesnt have a contortion act like that

  • Hmm, alrighty then.
