  • For Nyeo246. You're pillow would need to be a natural material. Wool is best. Silk works and cotton, but you should test it first. The wool doesn't stick well on synthetic material. I hope you enjoy felting. There are instructions for more projects on my website at kim dot chatel dot com.

  • @klchatel Is it okay to use any pillow? My house has plenty and thanks. I can't wait to do it with my mum!

  • Cool! I love any kind of technique for making dolls and similar stuff!! I really appreciate this!

  • For psychodelicdragon: Yes that's all you need. There are links to suppliers that I use for this stuff on my website. Some of the bigbox craft stores now carry them too, but they'll be more expensive.

    Good luck!

  • so, all you need is the special needle and the wool, [piling?] pillow for cushion and lots of poking with the needle [felting]? right?

thanks for your vids! love the method!

  • thanks v much for making that video...it makes more sense now!

until i saw your video i didn't have a clue!

  • at 2:35 it kind of looked like a shy guy from Mario.... <3 good work on those...I really wish i knew how to needlefelt more xD;;

  • Thanks for posting this video!!!! i am making a little needle felt farm inside a shoebox with all kinds of needle felt farm animals. I was wondering how to do a sheep! Thanks to you I have a great sheep everyone compliments on!!!! :D NEEDLE FELTING ROCKS!!!!!!!!

  • You explained so clearly! Thank you. I have to try needle felting sometime.

  • i love the ending, mother and daughter scene, nice, and another small question, once you poke the poor plushie, it dosnt fall apart and its moveble?

  • It should not fall apart and ,if it has a wire frame inside it, will be (somewhat) pose able.

  • whats the name of that material and how much it costs ?

  • it's the material from sheeps.... wool , yes wool :)

  • i want to buy these :[

  • That is so0o cute I must try it

  • I really want to try this. You make it look easy!! Thank you for making this video

  • I don't really make holes for eyes, unless I'm gluing in glass eyes and then I just use the needle to poke a hole over and over until it is wide enough.

For eyes made of wool, I just make a small ball and then felt it on. On more sophisticated pieces I might make an indentation first and add an eyebrow afterwards.

    Thanks for watching!

    Kim

  • Fascinating! Just one question, how do you make the holes for the eyes?

    Thanks for this helpful video!

  • Very cool, Kim! I feel like I could actually DO this. Of course, they don't let me have sharp things...
