@Syeno he was actually, well there were two in the movie when one get's killed the the submarine, there's then the other one the stadium (I can't remember been a few years) but there were two and Godzilla was a mutated komodo dragon which means it's a reptile and would have breed hence the couple million eggs everywhere.

Which btw the lizard they show in the '98 version are wild iguanas. many of whom are located on the galapagos islands. not sure if they are native to french polynesia or not but wouldnt suprise me. it is a good area for them.

@giallo200 Your opinion that it was rubbish in overall design is what is rubbish. Godzilla USA is more realistic in design and has realistic abilities. He is Godzilla if he was brought into real-life. That means an atomic breath like Toho's is impossible.

The only real reason so many people stay weeaboo fantards towards Zilla is because A) He isn't Toho's G, and B) He doesn't have an atomic breath (except for one with the smell of fish from a atomically irradiated monster).

The whole point of Godzilla was to express the disastrous effects nuclear warfare could/would have. The US recreation was just to introduce the Japanese icon into the west. I myself enjoyed the movie, but when seen in light of the original monster, Zilla was a complete disappointment to the franchise. It's not about the realism, its about the character that grew from the story.
