I believe my legacy on yt is my own version of a time capsule. Granted I am in no danger of death any different from the next person but it's my way of sharing who I am with the world. We share the same belief.

II think if we reach one person in our time here, then we have made a change, a positive change.

Yes, a truly amazing story.. The war is only a generation away.. it's very much part of modern history.. and yet people are forgetting already.. and the new generations are not told.. we're treading a dangerous path again..

I watched a video in my Political Science class about the concept of total war. I came out of that crying my eyes out. It had no appreciable effect on my young classmates. The consesus says never again. Frankly, I know all to well what humans are capable of. Demonization is bad, but so is the worship of Political leaders. Pappy, I understand your complusion and I share in it.

Hi Pappy, this story speaks to man's need to reach out and communicate the simple statement - "I was here". So much of life tends to become a blur as we touch lives in unknowable ways. The things that Sobczak and his fellow victims went through are incomprehensible to most of us who have been blessed by not have had similar experiences. I worked with one such survivor many years ago. She was a lovely woman who rarely spoke of the horrors she witnessed. Who could blame her. Ray
