i think they should make a first person shoot game maybe over the internet where you could choose a race and fight against other people like you chose who should we say....hmm oh well imperial guard then you could get higher rank maybe from normal guardsman to karskin use vehicles and such and maybe join a squad of soldiers then go in wars and the faction which destroyd all other forces would win the war ....but i ges such a game will never be made ...just a little dream ya know =(

dude, just saying, the chest eagle is silver and the trim around the shoulder pad is black, its a bit gay coz if you do the eagle silver he shoulder trim is silver yet if you make the trim black the eagle is black, but still the way youve done it is wrong, i collect black templars on table tob, :) just pointing it out there m8 :)

I admire the Black Templars alot. Considering theyre a cautious chapter when dealing with Chaos and anything affiliated with the warp. That's why they don't use librarians and only Grey Knights. Black Templars are my favorite chapter ^^
id really like a whit skull on him with that cool faded page look of the blood ravens as him embles but all trimed in gold .....or if his base colour was white and the skull gold, either way i just love doin paint schemes =D

Lol, well, the half of the marines that turned upon the Emperor and became the chaos marines certainly were chaos influenced to a degree, however the original loyalist marines are supposed to be free of chaos taint. Other flaws (Blood Angel black rage, Space Wolf elongated canines) are deemed to either be gene seed deficiencies or due to deviant practices, not chaos influence. However there are newer chapters known to fall from grace (Soul Drinkers) these are often chaos influenced.
Exposure to the warp may also alter marines, or change a chapter (Legion of the Damned and perhapse Black Dragons) however this is not necessarily direct chaos influence, as it is evident that these chapters (though recluse and unpredictable) still fight for the Imperium against chaos and other threats.)

some of the older storys had some of the pre heresy legions up to 20000 strong and not all wer full astarte some wer just heavly modefied humens from the war to unite terra but the heresy was that bad that most legions came out with only about 2000 to 3000 left the only one that came out with most of ther men still alive was the ultramarines and they had about 20 second founding chapters
I think the Ultras had some 50 000 marines at it's prime. Also the Imperial Fists were a dedicated siege defense legion so they didn't have that much. Considering BT have 6000 marines & good relations with other chapters they are a force to be reconed with.

Black Templars are the largest Space Marrine army. They broke off the imperial fists after the heresy. With more then the standard codex allows which is the 1000. Their true numbers are well over 6k and are under the watch of the Inquisition because of it. Although they are mostly left alone because they are the most zealous crusaders with no home world they never stop to vanquish all the enemies of mankind. Since they are so spread out its hard to track thier exact #s.
so in theory there are 10,000 black templars spread but I think there's even more than that imagine grouping all of them together in one mass, yesss I will relish the powerr!!!

The Black Templars are a Splinter from the Imperial Fists, as u can read in their Codex. Not from the Ultramarines. The Ultramarines are a Ordo of the First Grown...

True, But you missed another chapter. A "almost" ROUGE chapter. THE DARK ANGELS. Ever vigilent for the emperor but when on any mission, because of their shamed past, they would drop all obj's for the word bearers!
If you read the Black Templars codex, it suggests that the Black Templars are one of the few chapters who don't really follow the rules when it comes to how many mariens you're allowed. The Black Templars may have over 3000 marines, but no-one exept the High Marshal really knows, because the chapter is split into different crusades all over the galaxy, meaning the black templars are never all assembled together.
According to some fluff on the GW website, as background for a Witchhunters v Black Templars scenario battle, it is believed that the BT have nearly as many SM as the old Pre-Heresy Legions.
amazing video. i play black templars myself and i find that whenever you play them it is manditory to have a chaplain. (makes them more deadly the more you shoot them as they charge u faster and faster)
The only part of a Black Templars armour that changes due to rank is their shouler pads, the main body of the armour is always the same colors. They sometimes add little bits of color to their armour but never change too much because it would be 'disrespectful' to the chapter. Have a look at the Black Templars codex if you dont belive me. (I have a modle Black Templars Army)
You got the Black Templars armour wrong, they have a white eagle on their chest, and white knee pads, not gold. And the arrow on their right shoulder pad should be black, not red.

chaos are pretty awesome to be honest. you can be a lot more flexible with them. for example, my chaos army, the blood lords, are basically blood angels who fell to khorne and became full- on vampires. but they still uphold the rules of the imperium ^^
And then how does this work in the terms of game-balance? What codex do you use? With the SM codex the fluff would be terribly wrong as the BA successors suffer all of the red thirst and the black rage. With the BA codex this would mostly work, aside from the khornism. There can be NO daemons on a SM list. And with the CSM codex you couldn't get the RT and BR rules, thus making your army non-BA successor. The inquisition would kill off your chapter if it had the taint of chaos in it.
i worked it out. but you used too many abbreviations, i cant be entirely sure of what you're conveying. basically, my troops have a rule similar to that of the kroot,(when an enemy is routing they stop to consume corpses, not sure about their rule) but tweaked. took me a long time to work it out, and i clarified that it works with GW. =P
yeah templars ftw ultramarines nearly tore the imperium back into the horus heresy ages, unles imperial fists boke into crimson fists and black templars...u all know the story, it ends with ultra marines being gay
I totaly agree. If GW hadn't added Tyranic wars Veterans & Honour Guards the Ultras won't be anything worth noticing ( part from being Space Marines).

Fanatics are mainly religious, as are Zealots. The Word Bearers are probably a million times more zealous and fanatical than the Black Templars.

Exposure to the warp may also alter marines, or change a chapter (Legion of the Damned and perhapse Black Dragons) however this is not necessarily direct chaos influence, as it is evident that these chapters (though recluse and unpredictable) still fight for the Imperium against chaos and other threats.)

Black armor , white or gold eagle , white shoulders. There is a nice black templar marine skin on Hiveworldtera as well as scouts & some tanks.

some of the older storys had some of the pre heresy legions up to 20000 strong and not all wer full astarte some wer just heavly modefied humens from the war to unite terra but the heresy was that bad that most legions came out with only about 2000 to 3000 left the only one that came out with most of ther men still alive was the ultramarines and they had about 20 second founding chapters

I think the Ultras had some 50 000 marines at it's prime. Also the Imperial Fists were a dedicated siege defense legion so they didn't have that much. Considering BT have 6000 marines & good relations with other chapters they are a force to be reconed with.

no because after the heresy the black templars wher created. and ALL legions wher split into chapters thats the secound founding which is where the black templars originated.its all in the space marine codex. ...god im nerdy :'(

Black Templars are the largest Space Marrine army. They broke off the imperial fists after the heresy. With more then the standard codex allows which is the 1000. Their true numbers are well over 6k and are under the watch of the Inquisition because of it. Although they are mostly left alone because they are the most zealous crusaders with no home world they never stop to vanquish all the enemies of mankind. Since they are so spread out its hard to track thier exact #s.

Actualy i think i read they have close to 6000 marines. That's bigger than a pre-heresy legion. Plus acording to fluff SMs are uber killing machines 24/7 =D

Ultramarines are boring. Following the Codex Astartes by the page. Black Templars are what space marines were originaly made to be: Crusaders in the name of the emperor.

If you read the Black Templars codex, it suggests that the Black Templars are one of the few chapters who don't really follow the rules when it comes to how many mariens you're allowed. The Black Templars may have over 3000 marines, but no-one exept the High Marshal really knows, because the chapter is split into different crusades all over the galaxy, meaning the black templars are never all assembled together.

According to some fluff on the GW website, as background for a Witchhunters v Black Templars scenario battle, it is believed that the BT have nearly as many SM as the old Pre-Heresy Legions.
(the Pre-Hersey Legions had around 10,000 SM)

amazing video. i play black templars myself and i find that whenever you play them it is manditory to have a chaplain. (makes them more deadly the more you shoot them as they charge u faster and faster)

The only part of a Black Templars armour that changes due to rank is their shouler pads, the main body of the armour is always the same colors. They sometimes add little bits of color to their armour but never change too much because it would be 'disrespectful' to the chapter. Have a look at the Black Templars codex if you dont belive me. (I have a modle Black Templars Army)

The chest eagle on this SM skin is perma gold , blame the creator. Plus maybe it's gold so to beterr reflect the Emperor's light.
& they do plaint parts of their armor diffrent , check the GW site i saw some black templars from diffrent crusades there.

You got the Black Templars armour wrong, they have a white eagle on their chest, and white knee pads, not gold. And the arrow on their right shoulder pad should be black, not red.

chaos are pretty awesome to be honest. you can be a lot more flexible with them. for example, my chaos army, the blood lords, are basically blood angels who fell to khorne and became full- on vampires. but they still uphold the rules of the imperium ^^

And then how does this work in the terms of game-balance? What codex do you use? With the SM codex the fluff would be terribly wrong as the BA successors suffer all of the red thirst and the black rage. With the BA codex this would mostly work, aside from the khornism. There can be NO daemons on a SM list. And with the CSM codex you couldn't get the RT and BR rules, thus making your army non-BA successor. The inquisition would kill off your chapter if it had the taint of chaos in it.

i worked it out. but you used too many abbreviations, i cant be entirely sure of what you're conveying. basically, my troops have a rule similar to that of the kroot,(when an enemy is routing they stop to consume corpses, not sure about their rule) but tweaked. took me a long time to work it out, and i clarified that it works with GW. =P
