Hey HeirOfCarthage, just wondering, have you ever faced the PrinceOfMacedon, in either S2TW, or RTW? and if so, what did you think of him as an opponent?
How good are hero units in Shogun 2? The Kensei/sword saint in old Shogun could potentially stand up against a unit of low- to mid-grade melee troops. They were independent units, but I prefered using them in support of other assault formations.

Heir 1 thing i think you should mention is the morale shock when your OWN matchlocks are shooting near your men. Loan swords especially will rout near the general but samurai suffer too. All that missle fire at the rear demorlizes them.
Heir do you believe it is possible/playable to have naginata monks as a core for your army because ever since the nerf on them I have found its very hard to win with a nag monk core and i just dont see nag monks used as a core anymore its more often what you use which is a samurai nag core. So do you believe that monk nag cores are dead?

just a tip for the sony vegas cinematic thing. you can shrink the edges of the screen in editing ever so slightly which gets rid of the time bar and the some of the other stuff in the left hand corner. It makes it look really professional and nice. Still great cinematic.

I was a long-time youtube friend and subscribers to PoM, last night I unsubbbed and unfriended him. His videos aren't as good as Heir's, his jokes are really bad, and he's been acting like an asshole to his viewers lately.
@HeirOfCarthage The view count bug is somthing that is affecting everyone. Most videos view counts stay at around 300. Belive me, more then that number of people are watching, don't get discouraged.
@komedicentralen Id be cheering for HoC he is a much better guy and commentator, plus HoC has alot more experience on shogun 2 than PoM does. So i think HoC would easily win
What is up with the view count on this video? It stayed on 302 for a day or more and then it says only 2,569 now? This video has more comments and likes than my last few videos, so I would think it has more views? Anyone have any insight into this? Or did I just make a video no one wants to watch? :)
@HeirofCarthage its just a youtube glitch for some reason the number of viewers is precise atm saw a video of one of my favorite commentators(other than you) that had 5000 likes and only 206 views it was weird and the comments were full of "wait what?" it takes a while before a video actully shows the amount of views it actually has so its not you making bad videos it youtube fault. Youtube automatically updates the views until about 300 views, then due to keep lag down and processing speed up the views only get updated, every hour, or day.

@xTakenotesx16 I'm not upset with PoM. I like PoM's style, and also HoC's style. I think they both have their reasons to making TW videos and they both make videos about other games too. The only reason I see people getting upset is that PoM refuses to adhere to demands of people who don't pay him to do so. As long as he doesn't get paid, he has every right to do videos about playing Ping Pong if he wishes it. And he hasn't even stopped to make TW videos. So what's the problem?
@GeminiK , anyone with decent person. would be able to take advice and constructive critsism on the chin, but not PoM. For example if you comment on PoM when he makes a tactical mistake he will ban you for critisism. Tell me without critisism how can you get better. Heir Of Carthage on the otherhand can take constructive critisism and use this to become a better player. That is the difference Heir Of Carthage is a well mannered good peson, while Prince is a douche.
@xTakenotesx16 I don't recall PoM getting mad about constructive criticism. He does get mad if he thinks your criticisms are erroneous, which for what I've seen he is right about, or if you make an ignorant comment.
HoC is very well mannered, and I like his even tone :). It doesn't mean he has to tolerate ignorant comments or rude ones, but from what I've seen he does. Aside from that, the videos is what I'm subscribed to both of them for.

PoM may not be right all the time, but he does have logic, and expects you to have it too.

Also, it does seem like PoM doesn't care too much about the number of views he gets. @xTakenotesx16 well, at one point PoM was one one of the best commentators, before HoC, peul230688 and synoptic became well known. seeing this may have natured his arogance and ignorance, which made him believe that he can put unbreakalbe laws and rules, undoubtable facts, and prevented him from accepting any other point of views but his own.

Absolutely fantastic cinematic at the end i want to see more of those! Loved when the cavalry charged your opponents troops and you see the loans swords rout past the camera..one holding his wounds.
naginata samurai is a very cost effective unit. I focus mainly on their defence and moral just so they stay longer. and they are superb at most melee units they hold very long specialy with support from matchlocks. used them for over 2 month.
anyway heir use guard mode on all units. as you get more mobility and the chance to inflict more dmg to other untis with the same unit :)
with it on a freash matchlock unit can beat any 1cav unit in melee as all not in melee uses there matchlocks hhehe
Extremely cool cinematic and match. You should name your naginata veterans something that alludes to how they are an in between unit. Not quite swords or spears. "Swings both ways", "Arthur or Martha", "bi-sexual", "class confused"?
I'm sure someone creative can think of a good one.
this is one of heir's best vid's so far (only second to the battle of many frances in my opinion), such great vid deserves more than 10000 views, such pitty to see its number of views so far.

I prefer the replay commentaries. Looks way cooler and it gives you more time to explain whats happening since you aren't concentrating on controlling the army.
god I hate stand and fight. Every opponent tht does it I either have to out slug him or try a braindead suicide charge with my melee general. Chances of sucess usually 50/50.
Can anyone give me some ideas on how to kill them? (that dont involve mass volleys of matchlock fire)
I never take too many loan swords now, they're good as middle line units but you want some nice vet sami on either flank and be sure your gen is always near them.
@corpral13 I never pack too many as well. All it takes is for your enemy to have either some matchlocks or warrior monks and with one good volley or battle cry, your morale drops. On the flip side, if you are a leadership general and rally and get into stand and fight, a loan sword army is a good idea. Fantastic attack stats, cheap and with the morale bonuses, you can actually stand and fight against better troops.

Wow. This is the best video yet. I just love the "war correspondent film" piece at the end of the video. It felt like a documentary with re-enacters. Very well done.

Not to be negative, but I think the music choice for the cinema could have been better. For such a truly epic batter against overwhelming odds, I feel like a triumphant feel to it would have truly been better. I'm in no way saying this isn't a good video, because it really is amazing, but that's just my opinion on it. :)

@xTakenotesx16 well, at one point PoM was one one of the best commentators, before HoC, peul230688 and synoptic became well known. seeing this may have natured his arogance and ignorance, which made him believe that he can put unbreakalbe laws and rules, undoubtable facts, and prevented him from accepting any other point of views but his own.
its unplesant to see this happenning to once a great commentator.

Absolutely fantastic cinematic at the end i want to see more of those! Loved when the cavalry charged your opponents troops and you see the loans swords rout past the camera..one holding his wounds.

naginata samurai is a very cost effective unit. I focus mainly on their defence and moral just so they stay longer. and they are superb at most melee units they hold very long specialy with support from matchlocks. used them for over 2 month.
anyway heir use guard mode on all units. as you get more mobility and the chance to inflict more dmg to other untis with the same unit :)
with it on a freash matchlock unit can beat any 1cav unit in melee as all not in melee uses there matchlocks hhehe

My idea for the naginata unit is "Stonwall Patchies" because of their armor. Not sure if it's all that great, but there's my two cents.

Extremely cool cinematic and match. You should name your naginata veterans something that alludes to how they are an in between unit. Not quite swords or spears. "Swings both ways", "Arthur or Martha", "bi-sexual", "class confused"?
I'm sure someone creative can think of a good one.

god I hate stand and fight. Every opponent tht does it I either have to out slug him or try a braindead suicide charge with my melee general. Chances of sucess usually 50/50.
Can anyone give me some ideas on how to kill them? (that dont involve mass volleys of matchlock fire)

I never take too many loan swords now, they're good as middle line units but you want some nice vet sami on either flank and be sure your gen is always near them.

@corpral13 I never pack too many as well. All it takes is for your enemy to have either some matchlocks or warrior monks and with one good volley or battle cry, your morale drops. On the flip side, if you are a leadership general and rally and get into stand and fight, a loan sword army is a good idea. Fantastic attack stats, cheap and with the morale bonuses, you can actually stand and fight against better troops.

Not to be negative, but I think the music choice for the cinema could have been better. For such a truly epic batter against overwhelming odds, I feel like a triumphant feel to it would have truly been better. I'm in no way saying this isn't a good video, because it really is amazing, but that's just my opinion on it. :)
