  • YOU AND YOU,

    ILOVE LAGBAYA, WHEN LAGBAYA

LOVES A BIRD, sitting on head of anchestor.

    Talking brought me here.... (smile)

    and lost my head again,

live islike a see saw. . ARETHA

    s.f.a.

  • Love this song

  • The female singer is Ego Ihenacho

  • haha its very funny how lagbaja is faceless but based on what people have said , they say he is VERY VERY HANDSOME lol .. makes the mystery man tres sexy :)

  • perfecto...these kids are talented and luv the whole combination of talents n the use of adire...

  • any idea who is this girl ? I need some more of the voice :xD

  • this is such an amzing music!! unlike all the brutal beats we know these days aka lady gaga - sorry if u'r her fans. Can somebody tell me who is this girl? she is perfect! I want some more of her voice.

The ideal with the mask is brilliant. In the Yoruba - that's the name of the Nigerian tribe Lagbaja belongs to - it means nobody, everybody, anyone and everything. Is it not brilliant?

  • I love this song. I love Lagbaja

  • songs like this prove to me that the real love of music is a prospecting endeavour........for you will never find this song in the gramies

  • i love it

  • This is the ultimate song

  • oh my gosh....her voice is Amazing!! I hope she gets discovered someday...want her to make it big..her voice is too beautiful...

  • @eimmul she's done singin now, thatz the last of their work together, more like a farewell song coz she got married to a dick who wont let her pursue her dream

  • @iamlayi Get your facts right she is still in the music business She had an album out last year

  • One of the best out of Naija !!!!

  • this is african blues. no woorry of grammy.. beautiful lyrics and video

  • I couldn't think of a more befitting send-off for Ego. Wishing her goodluck in her musical career as she goes solo. And thanks Lagbaja for bringing out and nurturing her innate talents and the maturity you displayed in letting her move on without any rancour. Good example for other Nigerian artists who often break up fighting.

  • This video is pan-african, culturally significant in a nation where p-square and the american wannabe sycophants are ruining the lasting remnants of our indigenous culture.

    Viva lagbaja!

  • @nubianz05 Right on! Want to guess where that false light will lead Nigerians? Watch 'Beyond Beats and Rhymes' by Byron Hurt and in particular Chuck D's observations in the last part of the film. Lagbaja is rowing against that tide of drum machine driven vapidity. But it's not only Nigeria which is inundated with American wannabees since even (DRC) Congo soukous music has been contaminated. Lagbaja draws upon Yoruba musical tradition, as did Fela Ransome Kuti and King Sunny Adé before him. Peace

  • nice music

  • if this lady went abroad with this voice

im saying it now she would make

    MILLIONS because

she is born with that voice not taught

    born

  • Wow this is beautiful and musical genius by any standards!

  • IS HE SINGLE,...WANNA ASK HIM OUT

  • u ar great

  • Absolutely Brilliant!

  • this brother is up there with the best. I kid u not. It will be sweet to have african acts get the recognition they deserve. the girl could have used a lil voice coaching. her voice though not there still did not ruin the talent of the brother coming thru.

  • @jagadasnake ok don't hate on her,now!!

  • C'est ce que je qualifierais de MASTERPIECE. Thx a lot for such a delight.

  • people who have seen him said he is very handsome...i just imagine what his face looks like...

  • What a beautiful cultural heritage ...great sense of personality this is good...

not losing your identity even in the face of mordernization

  • From the land that gave us Sade, Seal, Fela, and now Asa, Nneka, Femi and Lagbaja. Nigeria you are a blessed nation.

  • on behalf of us nigerians, THANK YOU

  • Why the mask? What a question, its his signature all artist have that. Ah I remember this song i saw it once on African magic Who's the female singer, love her voice

  • her name is ego, unfortunately she's no longer in the band, she went solo. and the mask, according to him he uses it as an icon for man's facelessness- symbolizing the anonymity of the faceless and the voiceless in aafrican society.

  • Comment removed

  • he only wears a mask cause he doesn't want da paparazzi 2 follow him around wen he takes it off

cause he onlt wears his mask wen he is performin and stuff so dts y

  • With the mask he represents all of the other African "faceless" people. it's mostly symbolic.

Shame on u letting a white girl explain this to u :)

  • @chantal215 wtf

  • @jayjaykayode is what he says ...èh!

  • @chantal215 whats wrong with a white girl explaining something like this? after all some Africans know European history, culture and music more than Europeans.

  • yeah, wats wit the mask?

  • this is the best of lagbaja of all time.........................lagbaja omo baba muko muko more grease to your elbow

  • I love the settings... See as the whole area gather.. d vid makes me wanna be amongst dem lol...watching a spectacle take place

Thanks M.I.A. for sending me this. <3

  • loving the strings

  • hmmmm this beat is pretty dope maya

  • I might be stupid and this isn't an insult but what's with the mask ?

  • His stage name- Lagbaja is a Yoruba word for anonymous so I guess his mask is meant to fulfil the role of the nameless one in his culture; hence the common man.

You're not stupid for asking a question.

  • i reali like diz i song

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • This is great. How many Nigeria musicians no dey afraid to show our local "Abas" , with the rusty roofs, for dem Vids? Lagbaja's music does indeed represent the common man, and apart for that, the guy is a musical (harmonic) genius. Hats off to Lagbaja and his crew. My respect forever.
