  • Very relaxing music. I like it!

  • Thank you very much, Sepharite.

  • Good stuff man! Very engaging! I especially liked your juxtaposition of pedal/sustained tones and clipped sounds. Also a really nice harmonic balance between "functional" and more colored, textural kinds.

  • Thanks for your great comments. I have recently learned this about putting SILENCE in an improv: it allows me to start again with something completely different! Every pause of total silence is like permission to begin again!

  • Very nice. To use a saying I often use, there's hitting notes, and there's playing music. This is music.

  • Thanks for the nice comments!

In August of this year (2008) I began using 90% less sustain pedal. It's also when I began recording with my Zoom H2 digital recorder, giving me CD-quality recording sound for the first time.

I have learned that a half-second complete silence in places allows me to begin again, playing something completely different. It's a great technique for changing the mood quickly.

The advances in digital recording technology are changing the way I play!
