  • Phil! Awesome job. Do you move brick houses? We might have a project for you! I love the scene of the drawbridge at Mare Island.

  • I am really impressed by this moving movie!!! Thank you!

  • If I saw more dedication and ingenuity like this in America, I might actually start believing we're the greatest nation on Earth again. You didn't just save an old house. You saluted the people who built it, the people who lived in it, and the people who will enjoy its presence for the next 100 years. -Thank you! And to the dope who said it was ugly, old, and weak, you need to learn a few things about craftsmanship, painting, and spelling.

  • Is the the Phil Joy who attended Campolindo High School in Moraga? If it is then just want to say Great Job Phil!

    jrenworth

  • Sometimes you love something so much you'd take it with you whererver you go..don't matter, a favorite pair of shoes, a child's favorite toy, and in this case a man's house.

  • Thanks for your note. Glad you liked it. Its not about building a new house, it is about preserving history. This house was built on land given to the owner by General Vallejo. Rather than seeing it destroyed Phil wanted to save it. The Free Willy comparison is a new one ;)

  • Phil has his own house moving business, he loves to save history. Try to build a new house with materials that they used back then. Anyone can build a new cookie cutter house, it takes a different kind of person to preserve a house like this. Yeah its an old house, but to some people, older is better. You can't find quality like that anymore.
