I just purchased a Lacie ruggedXL (1TB) and was thinking of swapping it for the Time Capsule... but all I really need is an external HD... maybe it won't be all if I understood all included features.

Anyone can explain?

I did have to have mine replaced once. Best not to manually drag and drop files as it gets weird on you. I just use the interface to restore files when I need to.

I also use Super Duper which would be better to manually move files.

yes you can drag and drop files onto the network hard drive, like I put all my music on it so anybody in the house can listen to it from their computers. but outside of that use.. its pretty slow for dragging and dropping lot, or large files. so its not idea to use as a external HDD, but its great at all the other things it does.

That's actually an amazing price. It is also an airport extreme base station, and can be used wirelessly by all the Macs in your house if you have more than one.

I don't even have A mac jaja... now that can be a problem, but I already have an external HDD of 500gb and it cost me about 120 bucks... I don't care if it is wireless, I don't mind plugging it in or out anytime... it's not like it takes extreme effort, you just reach for the cable and place it in...

I know that the Time Capsule will backup any file again which has been changed.

What i want to know is, if i delete a file on my PC, and during the backup will that same file be deleted in the Time Capsule??????

Then what use would time capsule or time machine be? I mean, the reason you wanna back something up is so that you can get it back after it was deleted. What use would it be if the backup would be deleted if you deleted the file?
