So very real for anyone who has ever experienced that feeling of discovering your partner has cheated. Laurel and Jennifer sold the entire series with that performance. tina shouldve never even gave bette sex here. i just dont understand. it hurts to be cheated one. i gave my EX no sex. i gave her bruises. why would tina do that?? anyone?... thank god i have a better GF. we never argue. she cherishes and loves me.

@butterfly91 I don't think that scene comes across as Tina giving Bette sex at all. If anything, by the time the scene is over, the sex is more like a punishment and she's taking it, not giving it. If that makes sense. Bette initiated the sex, to a degree, out of desperation, almost like being with Tina would make up for what she did, or erase it or whatever. But after Tina's anger and how the rest of the scene played out, it's not like Tina "gave in" and gave her enjoyable sex. Not to me.

@Starladyii Do you not understand my comment, or do you just disagree with it? I was responding to another persons' comment that Tina shouldn't have "given" Bette sex after being cheated on. In no way did this scene come across to me as someone giving someone sex, in the sense of it be given for pleasure. Anyway, I don't think I can explain it better than I did above, so we'll just have to agree to disagree I guess.

@mudpiegirl Yes, I agree. Bette attempted sex out of desperation and love but Tina fought her and seemed to elicit punishment in a form of sex..Its very deep and I can relate. Very emotional scene for both JB and Laurel H.

Now it is obvious that in the series context the character of Bette wouldn´t have raped Tina because of psycotic motivations, Bette would have raped Tina as a desperate effort to show her love for her, a panic attack clouding her common sense, and Tina loves Bette so she is as desperate and also tries to fix things with sex.
