  • An underrated illness it needs to be taken seriously so we can get on with our lives we need a Take the Thyroid seriously day

  • I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I also am glutten intolerant and have scioliosis which is quite severe. Are these condictions connected to the hypothyroidism?

  • Thyroid problems served up to you daily by your government and public water systems. Too much fluoride; not enough Iodine/Iodide. Do the research.

  • I Need a safe diet i can follow to loose the weight caused by my thyroid .i asked my doctor and he says their is no thyroid diet. i gained 20 lbs. tired irratible etc etc . my weight gain has stopped but i can't seem to loose the weight i gained . no diet pills etc. any idea's?

  • armour thyroid- its all natural, iodine supplements demand it

  • Is it safe to take medication like Synthroid even though your not sure you have Hypothyroid? I recently had a blood test done and it came back abnormal for the thyroid. My TSH level was 4.52 and my doctor says its not enough to say i have hypothyroid. But i believe i have a Underactive thyroid because I'm experiencing most of its symptoms and I've been feeling extremely fatigued lately both physically & mentally. What should I do?

  • Go see another doctor

  • I've had Hypothyriodism since birth and in elementery...Girls teased me...They called me names all through out High School...I've always tried to commit suicide...I have eczema like crazy....And i'm gonna be 25 tomorrow....People look at me like i'm retarded...And i'm not...

I'm soo Happy that my disease wasn't passed on to my son...

  • holy crap i was just like you! i also have had hypothyroidism since birth and atopic eczema where it was so bad that around 60% of my body had no skin because i scratched it raw. Its clearing up now and im just turning 17. Trust me I know what u have gone through and it makes you want to die when people look at u and tease u at school but u cope through it some how. At the moment i really need to check my meds for the thyroid as I am feeling very very tired throughout the days which is worrying

  • armour thyroid (all natural, prescrip. only) , iodine supplement. specify and demand it otherwise the docs don are oblivious

  • I have hypothyroidism found at 20yrs + it has been under-treated 8 years now. My new Endo. who is getting my levels straight has said that my weight is from my thyroid! I know some kids/parents sometimes ignore the fact that the kid has a poor diet or somethimg, but if they have hypothyroidism, they can gain weight!"the best disease to have" Yeah right! ur whole body is affected like u have more than one disease! even with meds u suffer some. BTW..can u regain from nuero. damage already done?

  • Don't pass this video up. Important to listen to.

  • I'm hypothyroid. I was so overweight in elementary school that when my mom asked to get me tested my doctor refused because he thought I was just eating junk food. Turns out my levels were crazy, he said it was like I had no Thyroid at all. I still weigh less now than I did 6 years ago when I was 10. But my growth was stunted and it was horrible, I got teased and made fun of a lot, I bet they'd take it back if I told them I had a disease.

  • My two granmothers, my mom, my aunt and my sister has hypothyroidism...

  • sorry to hear that you went diagnosed for so long

  • When I was diagnosed my TSH levels were off the charts. My dr. told me he was surprised I was even walking around. It can cause major psychological problems as well as physical sickness if it goes on for too long. My levels are where they're supposed to be but still feel cruddy.

  • I have Hashimoto's. I think it started as a kid and went undiagnosed until I was 18 - 21. It hasn't been a fun ride. I don't know if it started from birth. But it has ruined my life completely. Health wise and socially. I ended dropping out of High school cause I was so bad. continued below-

  • Hi My daughter has congenital hypothyroidism. At first we were a mess. Now we are confident that the levoxyl is doing it's job! Hannah is 7 mos anthriving. Her TSH was almost 500 at the NBST. Now it is in range thanks to her ped endocrinologist. Thank you for posting this. You were right on target. Laura
