personally i have a quad core pc running windows 7, and an nc10 with fedora.... clearly the nc10 isn't designed to run 'any and all games' but can you take your server machines into starbucks and surf the net while you sip a cappucino?
linux based operating system are better then windows the only thing windows has that linux does not have is the games other then that linux is on my to list ubuntu or fedora beside they are faster then the memory hog known as vista
But Nokia Pc Suit doesn't work on Ubuntu or WINE. Nor Video Skype, or TOMTOM gps software (or Garmin for that matter). All the alternatives are not ideal. However I do have ubuntu installed as a virtual machine because other than the software that is always needed (as above) the other free software is awesome.
eg klogic, blue proximity, cairo dock, open office, gimp, etc etc.
@samsungnc10rules you mean the tons of viruses? Yeah, thx god for this! :P Anyway, there is really software that is not developed for Linux, but that doesn't mean, that I can't run it, though ;-) But in general you're right, playing Windows-games with linux isn't always comfortable!
Thanks for this video. I personally use Suse but Fedora is a close 2nd for me. I've been looking for a good netbook, and this video has convinced me to which one I'll be getting. To u window users out there, I use to be just like you, until I took a step out of the box. Good luck picking what "flavor"of windows 7 u may need. I'll stick to my better running, freely upgradeable, can do anything that windows and mac can do, O.S.
common you know that aint true, nobody can live without windows. Linux is just for the dual boot. Everyone has windows as a backup becouse some programs just don't work on linux =(
"because windows is garbage as S.O.?" (sorry for mispelling, it's O.S.)
I don't have dual boot, my 3 partitions are ext3, I can run windows only programs like Photoshop with wine really fine, and so?, for me, windows it's useless. I forgot the last time i rebooted my machine(5 months?) and runs like the first day with my beloved software. Can your toy do that?.
i havent switched my windows xp or vista machine net servers off for over a year and they too run fine like the first day of booting. but i also can run any and all games release, can your toy do that? ;)
thanks for uploading! this video shows how great fedora is "out of the box". i will be receiving my nc10 on tuesday and fedora is the first thing that will be going on it
