This makes me proud to have the last name Wallace. William Wallace had no children, but all the Wallaces in the World are scottish and should be so proud!
I was 10 years old when this movie came out and I seriously think that I cried at least 5 times throughout its duration. There aren't too many movies that have the power to do that to you when you are that young...
This shit happened hundreds of years ago and you keyboard warriors are using it as a subject to debate modern politics ROFL
For 300 years Scotland and England have existed as one nation, what have we achieved? Empire. 2 World Wars Won, 6th largest Economy in the world. Great Britain is probably the greatest nation ever to grace this planet when you take into account what 'WE' have done for the planet.
USA, Canada, Aus, NZ, Hong Kong, Singapore - Common denominator?/
@wank0r As much as I should be all patriotic and a what not as an american. I agree. USA sucks, that's coming form someone who's was born and raised here. And England is a great country.
@cachorastaman So you're saying Wikipedia, a website which has made up of roughly 11 years of contributor's information, many of whom are dedicated to the pursuit of giving information to millions (if not billions) of people on this planet, got one of the most basic information which anyone living in this country knows (unlike you or whoever you're asking) wrong on two major articles? Two major articles which are contributed to many Geographers as well?
The Bruce better slow down the charge if his horse. He will get to the English too early and will have to fight the opposition by himself. His army has to catch up to him by foot. :)
@1888fulton I said the United Kingdom, not Britain. The United Kingdom and Britain are two entirely different things; one is a country and one is a landmass where the United Kingdom is located, even a person who is as sensitive as you about this issue should know that.
@JinRenegade you are wrong as well, England is a country, Great Britain is the landmass where England is located, and the United Kingdom is composed of several countries and dependencies around the world, so don't go away correcting people when you yourself are wrong
And yet you also admit that you don't research or check what you're writing is right by saying that you "don't need to search because you are right"? This statement pretty much sums up everything about your arguments; uninformative and just plain wrong.
@JinRenegade if i don't need to search it, it is not cause im making it up, it is because i already know it, and why is that, well that is because a great habit of mine is reading, and not getting my information from internet pages that dont have their articles verified, but i guess you just need an excuse now not to feel so inferior, im sorry but that one won't do you'll just have to find another one, good luck
@cachorastaman And where do you think these major contributors get THEIR information? Thin air? No, they get their information from verified sources as well (and if they don't they are quickly edited out by moderators, especially on a major article relating to one of the most important countries of today).
Also, you mentioned the word "inferior", are you subtly implying that you're imaging yourself as a high and mighty person who knows everything? How old are you, 14?
@JinRenegade and yet you'll see their information changed all the time because again they might be contributors but that doesnt make them right
and to answer your question no i am not 14, that made me laugh, im a 22 year old industrial engineer, working at samsung, getting my masters in applied electronics for industrial engineering and spending most of my free time reading, and some correcting people like you, also stop making parts if you didnt know they disappear if you post too many replies
@cachorastaman Part 2 With roughly 11 years since Wikipedia was started, moderators have had many a chance to edit out any unverified information in a locked major article which is only accessible to moderators as of now since it is such an important article which hundreds view every day for their work or to enhance their own knowledge. If that section was wrong, it would have been edited out and replaced with what you have written a long time ago. But they haven't.
@cachorastaman Part 3 Also, if you believe them to be wrong, why don't you go and raise this concern with them on the "Discussion" page so that a moderator can unlock it and edit it? It will only take a couple of minutes, or are you afraid that you will be proven wrong?
@JinRenegade also i have no need to correct them i don't use that source as information and well i've already told you what is right, but if you insist i will do so for your benefit and the benefit of all those who depend on such a laughable source of information, lets just hope they do attend to the correction so no one else will be missinformed as you have, and please start reading from other sources it will do you much good
@cachorastaman Wikipedia was just one source I had a look at, the other sources matched Wikipedia's so I decided to take a section from it since it was shorter and to the point compared with the ones I read (most of which dived into the history to explain itself). And if you think you're so right, why don't you come up with your own evidence which will back up what you are saying AND correct Wikipedia at the same time? You also have to tell me the source from which it came from.
@JinRenegade i'd be glad to, read the Downing Street Diary volumes 1 and 2 by Bernard Donoughue, both good books based on the political standings of England and the United Kingdom, in which the latter is referred multiple times as a commonwealth, but like i said i get my information from books, so i guess that would be too much of an effort for you since you base everything you know from wikipedia, right?
@cachorastaman So you're admitting, because one man said so in his books (that the UK isn't a sovereign state but infact a commonwealth), that makes him right? That is a matter of his (and only his, since he is the author) opinion. That is not a viable source of information either, a viable source of information (book) would be a factual textbook which, like Wikipedia, takes a collaborative effort from many authors to get everything right in order to teach people.
@JinRenegade xD, there is a reason i took that book as a reference it is by one author but it is not his point of view, it takes into the careers of several political members of the commonwealth as well as the statements of other researchers of political science, it is a very long book that is why it has 2 volumes id recommend you read it, and yes it is a viable source of information, any book is more than Wikipedia dont know why you keep defending a site most researchers laugh at
@cachorastaman Well that's diving into a very complicated matter which I am not qualified myself to debate since I'm not a political scientist or a historian. But that's not the point really, at the present time (in any factual book or on any website, not just Wikipedia) you will find that they mention the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as an independent state, sovereign state or country.
@JinRenegade i believe this has gone a bit over board, if you don't mind i'd like to stop this and if you want to call it a sovereign state so be it, i'll keep considering it a commonwealth, but if you want to keep at it let me know and i'll keep you posted on my readings ;)
@cachorastaman Infact, "commonwealth" can be defined as an independent country as well as a group of countries so neither of us are wrong if you call it a commonwealth and I call it a country, it just depends on how you view it.
@JinRenegade ok i can leave it at that, no point going on farther over a simple term, considering the great video we've been wrecking with our ranting, :P
@cachorastaman That we can both agree on, and sorry for offending for anything but I was just getting a bit worked up and thought you were one of those frequently occuring internet trolls.
@JinRenegade yeah so was I, but i guess thats what happens when you so frequently encounter such people, you start to think anyone you argue with is one
However, even though the book is of a matter of opinion (which it is; it is a recollection of one's experiences), it could still be a good book to read (I haven't read it, so I can't judge it) so I got nothing against him personally. It could also be a matter of debate if he raises interesting points about why the UK is not a sovereign state but infact a commonwealth (even though I disagree). Tell me, does he explain why it isn't? If so, could you post it?
@JinRenegade as for your part 2 comment id be glad to reread the books as soon as i am finished with the current book i am reading(the lays of beleriand, if you like Lord of the rings you'll like it i'd recommend to anyone) which will be in about 5 days i say, might take me some time to get to an actual explanation but any citing of UK as a commonwealth i will post page and paragraph to you, still i recommend you read it, or at least read another book stop depending on Wiki for a while
@JinRenegade and a side not to my 2 previous comments, i'm from Mexico and am interested in all topics that is why i read everything i can find, but your are from England bud reading a bit more bout your politics wouldnt hurt so much
I c what thedivil666 says you have betrayed your history, now it is time you get your own country...england treats u like their puppet BREAK FREE! EIREIANN ABU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
taken as a stand alone movie, braveheart is pretty good. however, i can never forgive randall wallace and mel gibson for the absolute raping of scottish history that this fillm is. apart from some of the name's, there is nothing in this film that is accurate and this has led to far to many scottish people getting the wrong idea of what happened. braveheart - good film but absolute bollocks in a historical sense
Look at all the sweaty jocks getting a hard on for this shiiiiiiiite film!!! Pathetic!!! Just keep drinking your super tennants and thinking your all William wallace... Pffft!!!
every time i watch braveheart i relaize we as scots have sold our souls to the devil and betray what our ancestors stood for gave their lifes for once again we must fight like warrior poets and win back our freedom
0:14 Hamish, Stephen, Murron's father, and the 2 hecklers from Stirling. Wallace won them all over with his spirit & conviction and they remained loyal even after his death. Great touch
@peacefrog1916 if Scotland left during the current economy it's own wouldn't stabilise causing bankruptcy. You'd lose the nhs and have to pay for health care you likely lose most of your army and education funding and the majority wants to stay anyway other than those just the monarchy and the fact we've fought and died together for century which in my opinion gives a sense of unity also don't you have your own parliament so in a sense your hardly slaves, not to be rude but name one thing Scotl
@deadpool2601 we"d loose the NHS your a funny guy the NHS which was founded by welsh politician Nye Bevan in 1948..is based upon the the higlands and Islands Medical service Committee...founded in 1912 by Sir Donald dewar..a scot...
@snpforever019 i suppose but still you've focused on one point and its now a mainly english institution's i. i do not disagree with your right to freedom though if that's what you think I'm simply pointing out the flaws,i think Wallace and the like were great men and i know we were dicks but now we share common interest personally i like the Scots but there are flaws with independence at least for now
@deadpool2601 well..independence will have its ups..and downs...their will benefits and deficits..as youve rightly stated..but having said that.....it will be up to the people of scotland to make a go of it.....and regardless of whether its the right move or not..only time will tell.......
@deadpool2601 not to be rude but who gives a fuck what you thing. Look around you and tell me what you see ? Engerland is sinking faster than a stone in water. One trillion in debt ...
id like to know how this movie is perceived in scotland? do you guys like it? do you feel its to hollywood? does it accurately portray scottish disdane for english rule?
so its begun already ..and scots arent even independent yet...what am i talking about..a £500million shipbuilding contract diverted away from scots shipbuilding yards.. and given to ...wait for it south korea..by westminsters defence secretary phil hammond..even though the vast majority of the work could be done in scotland..ironically scots taxes are among the taxes that will pay for these ships being constructed in south korea.. phil hammond you westminster prick!....VOTE INDEPENDENCE....
Always outnumbered & facing much better equipped armies.I wonder if the English would have fought if it was them who were outnumbered vastly by a better equipped & better trained army?
I'm not Scottish but my name is Andrew and am honored to be named after the patron saint of scotland! I even have a dogtag of the saltire! :) But sometimes I consider myself scottish :)
@skysportsnews100 You're a moron if you think people are going to base their vote on a movie. How can you possibly not support self-determination for your own country? Were you born a quisling or did you have to work hard at it? Moron.
@skysportsnews100 Yeah, there is a lot of stupid folk out there. You're one of them. So desperate to be British but you haven't quite grasped the English language. I consider myself Scottish rather than British, but thats just a matter of opinion. Give me 3 reasons why Scotland should stay part of Britain?
what do those fools at the guardian know anyway...the sun on sunday outsold that old rag....and its better to cosy up to them than blair did to gadaffi...mind you no one wants to cosy up to peter robinson......
Me too, if i could die anyway this is how i would want to die. I wouldnt care how painful nor how quick. This just seems like the greatest way to die.
fed up listening to all these people saying wallace didnt do this wallace didnt do that...robin hood/ king arthur/ and richard the lionheart.. arent historically accurate in films.....so shut it....WALLACE WILL ALWAY BE A SCOTS HERO NO MATTER WHAT...VOTE SNP VOTE INDEPENDENCE......
@snpforever019 Historian Sharon Krossa "The events aren't accurate, the dates aren't accurate, the characters aren't accurate, the names aren't accurate, the clothes aren't accurate—in short, just about nothing is accurate.
Billy Connelly "a piece of pure Australian shite."
Scottish historian Elizabeth Ewan "almost totally sacrifices historical accuracy for epic adventure"
If you want a real Scottish hero try Alexander Fleming
@IronYouthRadio thank you and its not ALL FICTION as the ENGLISH TROLLS would have you believe..wallace really did defeat the english at the batle of stirling bridge..even though he was heavily outnumbered.....and the bruce really did defeat the english at the battle of bannockburn..and in 1320..scotland became a nation and now we need our independence....VOTE SNP VOTE INDEPENDENCE.....DO IT FOR WALLACE AND THE BRUCE.....FRRREEEEDOOOOOOOMMM!
Sure dude, that is why your home grown boris Yeltzin just called Britain's open door immigration policy inhumane and wants to b a world citizen. Indeed one only has to watch any of his debates to see that his main aim is to become part of a global community.
racism or not, it doesn't tak a rocket scientist to predict what is going to happen.
@IronYouthRadio i dont think anyone living in england can comment on immigration when millions sneaked in unchecked in england last year due to bungling home office minister theresa may ..and its westminster thats £1 trillion in debt not holyrood..and theirs more cramped squalor in london than scots tenements...and finally countries the size of scotland IE 5million population seem to do okay in europe...examples are norway and finland..and no we wont be back we dont need you period
I know and said this, which is why the SNP leader's admission that there were not enough immigrants coming into the country will prove a horrible suprise to the millions of destitute scots who will face an even worse time.
@IronYouthRadio theirs more destitute people living in london than the whole of scotland......and immigrants do better and behave better in scotland than in england...just look at the rioting and pillaging and murders in england last year shops destroyed building set on fire your own people even hate the english way of life.....not 1 riot or piece of damage occured in scotland....england is at war with itself....THANK GOD I DONT LIVE IN ENGLAND........VOTE SNP VOTE INDEPENDENCE.....
@snpforever019 It's a completely different story if you're an Englishman in Scotland... on a par with being in France, that sense of people looking down on you. Not all, but most.
@ChainsawGutsFuck well i dont know about that maybe you personally have had a bad experience..but i know plenty of english people living in scotland....who are doing well with no complaints.....
@snpforever019 Okay, I got nothing against Scottish people deciding to be independent and all that, but what is with the anglo-phobia? It doesn't help your cause at all, it just promotes hatred and ignorance. Why don't you separatists just try to depart from the UK as friends rather than as enemies like India, Australia, Canada, and all those other previous territories under the empire did? Is it because of the events that occurred hundreds of years ago as portrayed in this film or what?
@JinRenegade yes i agree at the moment in scotland..especially on these site we"re a wee bit over patriotic..though not a bad thing it can seem to any outsider looking in a wee bit aggressive..but i can assure theirs plenty of english people living in scotland that are doing well and 99% of scots people..welcome people from england with a smile and a handshake..like anywhere else in the world:-)
@snpforever019 Could well be that, I actually got on with a lot of Scottish and I think the accent is amazing, i'm probably just letting the slightly worse experiences colour the rest of them
@MrRobertJameson you and i know it will never happen the UVF and the red hand commandos will be to busy fending off the south...without much success...
@MrRobertJameson their will be no return to the 1979 bombings in glasgow.....otherwise it wont just be the republic youll need to deal with....NI will become part of the REPUBLIC it will be good to unite ireland once and for all ..who knows it might even make a man out of you......but i doubt it...lol
@snpforever019 No, southern Ireland is too bankrupt to support itself let alone the six northern counties, and in any case it changed its constitution to drop its claim to Northern Ireland years ago.
If the Scots vote yes they will have to take full responsibility for the ensuring civil war, as well as the province itself.
@MrRobertJameson your completely wrong...after checking NI....population GDP and gross income etc....and roughly 50/50 protestants and catholics..who both see themselves as NORTHERN IRISH ....ive come to the conclusion..NI could go it alone...so you can stop your BS about taking NI.....NI can stand on its own two feet..jus as good as any other country.....
@snpforever019 Northern Ireland could never survive without £9 billion a year from us.
That is why Wilson's proposal to turn it into an independent province in 1975 was strongly opposed by Garret Fitzgerald, who knew it would cause a second Irish Civil War.
Vote SNP for more immigration, as Salmond has already promised on numerous occasions.
Still, it's good to see the left-wing idiots on the Guardian have stopped liking him due to his support from Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch, Brian Souter etc.
@IronYouthRadio What? a new Nazi England is going to recreate the UK once the SHTF and the world economy collapses? Don't think so sonny. Scotland has never been even right of centre never mind fascistic. Salmond will have to watch what he gets up to as we will be keeping a close eye on him. I for one want no truck with the EU and he had better be careful what other little deals he does. It's much easier to keep an eye on politicians in a wee country than a large. Ah kent yer faither, etc.
@snpforever019 Gibson left out the bridge which is how Wallace trapped the English at Stirling Bridge. Bruce had trapped the English before the charge. He had no inclination to surrender. He planned Bannockburn for months. This ending is more dramatic though for a movie. Bruce can be considered one of the brilliant generals in history.
@Brady2k10 dude for a start slow down ure getting ureself into a state there. william wallace may have commited some
crimes but he was still a hero due to his leadership skills. i dont know an awfull lot about william wallace but my dad does. and all i know is scotland wudnt b scotland if not for william wallace
you refused to help us when we didnt do anything to scotland or the scots and the english were slaves to the romans and even when the vikings came we didnt get any help, so if you expect me to feel sorry for scotland or ireland then you are sadly mistaken, you see once you learn of your cowardice you'll change your attitudes. Then you cry when we came and took scotland after you left us to rot with the romans and now english are meant to feel all sad and sorry for you? bullshit.
@Brady2k10 You're a bore. Poor old England. Your imperialist exploits around the Globe have killed millions of people (a million native Aboriginies in Australia alone). Its not just the Scots and Irish who hate you. Most of the world does.
@Brady2k10 Don't talk such utter drivel. The Scots were attacked by the Norsemen as the Southerners were, we were all fighting for survival at the same time. As for the Romans, they attacked Scotland, or Pictland as it was then, and they decided conquest wasn't worth it so they retreated behind their walls. The Picts raided regularly but could not have aided the southern Britons even if they had wanted to. The Romans gave you civilisation, we were barbarians by comparison. You were lucky.
@MasterAtheistic The civilized Romans slaughtered and/or raped entire cities. They were as bad as the Huns and Mongols. They crucified many who resisted. They had the very civilized gladiator butchery. They crucified 3000 rebels along the Appian Way. Roman nobles also buggered 12 years old boys and girls. Most of who they conquered were already civilized especially the Egyptians and Semitic peoples, The best of Roman culture was derived from the Greeks. They were civilized like Nazi Germany.
@PatrickNM57 Don't get me wrong, I know just how parasitic and nasty the Roman Empire was. It could only exist and grow on conquest and slavery. When it grew too large and too corrupt, it collapsed. It has happened to every civilisation. but to somehow blame the Picts for not coming to aid the Britons against such a foe is just idiocy. The Picts and Scots harassed the Romans as much as they were able and may have wiped out the ninth legion but invade? Impossible.
and i guess it was ok when you celts left us anglos to fucking rot when the romans came, you didnt help us, maybe if you did then things wouldnt have went the way they did afterwards. So dont think you're all heroes and heroic, you left us english to rot before the wars when the romans came over you didnt help us and we was enslaves what u gotta say about that? and then you moan after because we learned from the romans how to fight, you moan because we took scotland what do you expect?
anyone who wants to challenge me on this go right ahead and ill show you the facts, sick of scots and irish and all that hating on english even today what the fuck have we done?? is it our fault hundreds of years ago the english had wars with you? and now we gotta take the shit for it and most of you dont even know the real story behind the events you just start hurling insults at english, educate yourself first and i promise you'll change your opinion on william wallace.
@Brady2k10 Hundreds of years ago? well the '45 was less than three hundred years ago. you are still bitter about the Romans and that was 2000 years ago FFS! What a bampot!
so before you all start hating on english people get your fucking facts straight ignorant idiots you make judgements and cant be bothered to learn the real history and what really happened and how it went down, until you do that you shouldnt say shit about england because you'll be making yourself look like an uneducated moron, if you knew the real shit that went down you would change your opinion straight away, this film is great and it is a good heroic film but its 80% inaccurate
and thats why when the king of england got him he killed him in such a nasty way because of the crimes he commited against the innocent english people living near the border of scotland, so please understand william wallace was not a hero, he was a ruthless savage. Again i love this film and i love mel gibson (no homo) i think hes a great actor/director but this film is about 80% made up stuff. Do you research if you want you'll see im telling the truth, he wasnt a hero, he was a savage.
@ombida12 im english and i love this film, however its very very inaccurate. The whole thing with the french princess didnt happen at all, some argue over whether he even had a relationship with "murron" her real name being marian but mel changed it as he felt it was too similar to robin hoods maid marian. William Wallace was just as cruel as the king of england, if you learn the history you'll know im telling the truth, he was a murderer who killed innocent english people
At 2:20 if you look closely at the axe held by the guy with the red beard and hair(forgot his name) you can see the axe blade wobbling in a way that can only be rubber
This makes me proud to have the last name Wallace. William Wallace had no children, but all the Wallaces in the World are scottish and should be so proud!

And if you think you're so right, why don't you come up with your own evidence which will back up what you are saying AND correct Wikipedia at the same time? You also have to tell me the source from which it came from.
JinRenegade 3 days ago
@JinRenegade i'd be glad to, read the Downing Street Diary volumes 1 and 2 by Bernard Donoughue, both good books based on the political standings of England and the United Kingdom, in which the latter is referred multiple times as a commonwealth, but like i said i get my information from books, so i guess that would be too much of an effort for you since you base everything you know from wikipedia, right?
cachorastaman 3 days ago
@cachorastaman So you're admitting, because one man said so in his books (that the UK isn't a sovereign state but infact a commonwealth), that makes him right? That is a matter of his (and only his, since he is the author) opinion. That is not a viable source of information either, a viable source of information (book) would be a factual textbook which, like Wikipedia, takes a collaborative effort from many authors to get everything right in order to teach people.
JinRenegade 3 days ago
@JinRenegade xD, there is a reason i took that book as a reference it is by one author but it is not his point of view, it takes into the careers of several political members of the commonwealth as well as the statements of other researchers of political science, it is a very long book that is why it has 2 volumes id recommend you read it, and yes it is a viable source of information, any book is more than Wikipedia dont know why you keep defending a site most researchers laugh at
cachorastaman 3 days ago
@cachorastaman Well that's diving into a very complicated matter which I am not qualified myself to debate since I'm not a political scientist or a historian. But that's not the point really, at the present time (in any factual book or on any website, not just Wikipedia) you will find that they mention the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as an independent state, sovereign state or country.
JinRenegade 3 days ago
@JinRenegade i believe this has gone a bit over board, if you don't mind i'd like to stop this and if you want to call it a sovereign state so be it, i'll keep considering it a commonwealth, but if you want to keep at it let me know and i'll keep you posted on my readings ;)
cachorastaman 3 days ago
@cachorastaman Infact, "commonwealth" can be defined as an independent country as well as a group of countries so neither of us are wrong if you call it a commonwealth and I call it a country, it just depends on how you view it.
JinRenegade 3 days ago
@JinRenegade ok i can leave it at that, no point going on farther over a simple term, considering the great video we've been wrecking with our ranting, :P
cachorastaman 3 days ago
@cachorastaman That we can both agree on, and sorry for offending for anything but I was just getting a bit worked up and thought you were one of those frequently occuring internet trolls.

@JinRenegade yeah so was I, but i guess thats what happens when you so frequently encounter such people, you start to think anyone you argue with is one
cachorastaman 3 days ago
@cachorastaman Part 2
JinRenegade 3 days ago
@JinRenegade as for your part 2 comment id be glad to reread the books as soon as i am finished with the current book i am reading(the lays of beleriand, if you like Lord of the rings you'll like it i'd recommend to anyone) which will be in about 5 days i say, might take me some time to get to an actual explanation but any citing of UK as a commonwealth i will post page and paragraph to you, still i recommend you read it, or at least read another book stop depending on Wiki for a while

snpforever019 3 days ago
@snpforever019 No, southern Ireland is too bankrupt to support itself let alone the six northern counties, and in any case it changed its constitution to drop its claim to Northern Ireland years ago.
If the Scots vote yes they will have to take full responsibility for the ensuring civil war, as well as the province itself.
MrRobertJameson 3 days ago
@MrRobertJameson your completely wrong...after checking NI....population GDP and gross income etc....and roughly 50/50 protestants and catholics..who both see themselves as NORTHERN IRISH ....ive come to the conclusion..NI could go it alone...so you can stop your BS about taking NI.....NI can stand on its own two feet..jus as good as any other country.....
snpforever019 3 days ago
@snpforever019 Northern Ireland could never survive without £9 billion a year from us.
That is why Wilson's proposal to turn it into an independent province in 1975 was strongly opposed by Garret Fitzgerald, who knew it would cause a second Irish Civil War.
MrRobertJameson 3 days ago

MrRobertJameson 1 week ago

He had no inclination to surrender. peacefrog1916 1 week ago
MasterAtheistic 1 week ago
@MasterAtheistic The civilized Romans slaughtered and/or raped entire cities. They were as bad as the Huns and Mongols. They crucified many who resisted. They had the very civilized gladiator butchery. They crucified 3000 rebels along the Appian Way. Roman nobles also buggered 12 years old boys and girls. Most of who they conquered were already civilized especially the Egyptians and Semitic peoples, The best of Roman culture was derived from the Greeks. They were civilized like Nazi Germany.
PatrickNM57 1 week ago
@PatrickNM57 Don't get me wrong, I know just how parasitic and nasty the Roman Empire was. It could only exist and grow on conquest and slavery. When it grew too large and too corrupt, it collapsed. It has happened to every civilisation. but to somehow blame the Picts for not coming to aid the Britons against such a foe is just idiocy. The Picts and Scots harassed the Romans as much as they were able and may have wiped out the ninth legion but invade? Impossible.
MasterAtheistic 1 week ago
and i guess it was ok when you celts left us anglos to fucking rot when the romans came, you didnt help us, maybe if you did then things wouldnt have went the way they did afterwards. So dont think you're all heroes and heroic, you left us english to rot before the wars when the romans came over you didnt help us and we was enslaves what u gotta say about that? and then you moan after because we learned from the romans how to fight, you moan because we took scotland what do you expect?
Brady2k10 1 week ago

@Brady2k10 Hundreds of years ago? well the '45 was less than three hundred years ago. you are still bitter about the Romans and that was 2000 years ago FFS! What a bampot!
MasterAtheistic 1 week ago
so before you all start hating on english people get your fucking facts straight ignorant idiots you make judgements and cant be bothered to learn the real history and what really happened and how it went down, until you do that you shouldnt say shit about england because you'll be making yourself look like an uneducated moron, if you knew the real shit that went down you would change your opinion straight away, this film is great and it is a good heroic film but its 80% inaccurate
Brady2k10 1 week ago
and thats why when the king of england got him he killed him in such a nasty way because of the crimes he commited against the innocent english people living near the border of scotland, so please understand william wallace was not a hero, he was a ruthless savage.
