Carbon Fiber is EXPENSIVE is what NO ONE seems to be able to spit out here. I just went to XOX's website. They are an English company and they charge 2449 Euro. for it. That converts to OVER $3,500. And quite frankly. This does not sound like a $3,500+ instrument!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!!! Right now on Musiciansfriend you can get a Limited GIBSON USA Les Paul for just over $2,000 and that is WITH a Bigsby!!! They have worked for YEARS! If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!!!!
@drummin65turbo : try it before you judge it, you cant tell anything about ist sound or playability from a handycam video shot at a tradeshow.
the XOX Handle is all top of the line components and is incredible.
And if it aint broke dont fix it is the mentality which breeds a single brand for all, but most of us like a choice and variety. I bet you wouldnt want to live in a world where you didnt have a choice of what you could buy because what they were offering was good enough.
dude u are a bad son of a bitch alil diffrent style than me ima have 2 put some of my shit on here but damn bro your naturaly talanted with that thing i can see it in your style so much feeling with that thing and your riffs are beautifuly tied in
@RevisedTV I used to play one of those other guitars... but I love my Handle! 24 frets worth of warm carbon fiber tone! These are great guitars. I think everyone should have at least 2! :)
carbon fiber has a wider acoustical range than wood, and to achieve sustain with wood you need mass to compensate for its softness, carbon fiber is so stiff you have instant sustain, just add vibrations! its hollow body and neck give an amazing resonance chamber for warm rich tones, you cant beat it!
@gtiturbo18litre it has DiMarzio PAF pros and a simple passive electronic circuit.
there is no need to compensate for lack of wood since carbon fiber has a wider tonal range, you just need a nice true pick up to allow you to hear the full tones produced.
you guys have to get over your preconceived notions and learn more, find out there are new materials and methods out there which can improve the way we do things, it happens in every field even for guitars
@gtiturbo18litre Yeah im going with peterxxxsol on this. Van Halen used a carbon fiber Steinberger on the 5150 album. Look it up. The only reason carbon fiber didnt catch on is because big companies like Fender and Gibson thought that carbon fiber would ultimately replace wooden guitars so they but out all of the companies making carbon fiber guitars. It weighs a fraction of what wood does and you can put sick tremolo systems to instantly change keys that you can never do with wood.
I can see why he won the shredder search! He has actual sounds to his playing, all the other entries are pure shred, 100%, and basically had no actual sound to them, just a billion random notes that didnt even sound good nor did they make sense...
what the hell did you sey there? your grammar is miserable. and ED, pre-DSS wasn't in any way connected to a guitar company. he had/has a Jackson ( I believe) that was custom painted by a friend.
I am a fan of Ed. But Im gonna strongly dissagree with your comment. Buckethead is the man and is unknowingly one the greatest. So lets not jump to conclusions
idk why this comment was thumbed down because if you know theory or are even decent at guitar you know for a FACT that buckethead is not even very technical in comparison to any real technical guitar player like Ed, it has nothing to do with like or dislike.
exactly. people always tell me "oh, if you listen to this buckethead song, you will be blown away." then I go and listen to it and I never understand why people think he's so good. I just haven't heard anything from buckethead that has impressed me the way Ed did.
With a statement like that I can't help but argue the point. The arpeggios were great. But, the coolness in this peice comes in the nuance. It doesn't have to be 200 notes per minute to kick ass. I happen to think it had great texture and feeling! ...that's just my opinion~!
